Certain irony in this fear of Indians taking Canada away from white people

I have worked on 4 continents and what he is describing is the difference in work culture. North American culture is LOW context which is goal driven. If they paid for studies AND post studies, then they have the right to the 2yrs they paid for. Otherwise, Canada needs to reimburse them all for the monies paid. That's daylight robbery and scamming. If you are on vacation in Canada and meet a business owner and he likes you and want to hire you full time for what ever job. Immigration will say no to that. As a migrant to Canada my wife and I were required to meet the criteria that included; having relevant qualifications and work experience, money to support ourselves and three children, fluent in English &/or French (actually asked this as proof), medically fit and no criminal record, plus around $5000 landing fee. Within two days of landing I secured a job working for an electrical contractor. \n\nIf you want to come to Canada follow the process and meet the criteria. It’s only fair to those that will qualify and in the future.

Now if we fly into Vancouver with our dog, what are the prospects of renting an apartment in Langley or area.? What are the prospects for finding an job in tech repair? And if he finds a job making 30 CAN an hour, will that be enough to live on? We are Canadian citizens and living in New Zealand for the last 20 years

It's not the brain drain. We never had the brains to drain. Post-secondary education in California cost 1/3 what it does in British Columbia. The State of California has the same population as Canada, yet its GDP is 3x greater than the Dominion of Canada. My Grandson in Florida won a full College scholarship at 11 years of age, and they are rapidly catching up to California. Go figure!

Yeah, I've always wanted to live in Canada as a Brazilian, but as I have time to change this, I have changed my plans to hopefully be able to migrate to the Netherlands as it is a beatiful country with walkable cities (as far as I know, I will look into it more).

Not only is it it impossible to live here, there are no resources unless the government gets something from it. As an indigenous child who grew up in foster care my whole life, there was no indigenous foster care homes for me to go to and therefore my culture has become traumatic for me. My OWN culture has major trauma related to it and my foster care agency would NOT help me unless I moved to the reservation after I aged out the THEIR system, which was not applicable because they were the ones who traumatized me. When I turned 19, I was expected to have it all figured out, I was not allowed to remain in my foster home afterwards without massive paper work and thank god my foster mom cared about me because without her, I would be on the streets with nothing but a garbage full of clothes. I moved out on my own with the help of that family and my agency said they would help with things if I asked. As of the economy now, I did ask them. I asked them for any help at all and my social worker LITERALLY ghosted me and stood me up, even at my plea for help. You would think this is just my case but there are hundreds of cases like mine with even worse endings and what Canada has done with this information is nothing. Foster Care in Canada for indigenous youth is the 2000’s way of Residential Schools and I am EXTREMELY lucky to NOT be homeless and dead. Many of my friends in similar situations are dead or homeless and I have no hope for Canada, it’s an extremely depressing reality.
