I was born and raised in Canada. Ten years ago, I would tell people that Canada is an incredible place to live in. Today, I would caution people to think twice about moving here. Everything is expensive and you will be taxed to death. The current government is terrible and the winters are freezing.

I grew up in Toronto Canada. It is so sad to say but Canada needs to pivot because it is on a very negative trajectory. I finally had enough and the events that unfolded during the pandemic and where our current government is going made me make up my mind. I sold everything and moved to SE Asia. It's not paradise but my parents left their country to seek better and I'm doing the same.

Probably the reason why she struggled is due to not having real exposure of struggle and being independent in India... \n\nWhen 2 ppl at home earn, level of comfortness is higher in India, due to availability of cheap labour.\n\nIts not just Canada, anywhere in world, being independent means doing everything... not just hiring people to get things done (which is the case in India... which is comfortness)

In Canada ?? broken families. ? ?not love in society. You not see that in México. Wonder why? People live as families and not drugs and mental health ???

It’s clear that you didn’t have the mindset of adjusting. Canada May be good or bad I don’t know. But when you move to a new country you should not hold onto your way of life as the best way. If you do that you cannot adjust.

Interesting video I was kind of surprised someone from Singapoor would leave their country for Canada since everyone I know from your country is pretty rich or has a good life so moving to Canada to me is bit strange.

I had major problems finding a job, even as a waiter, when I moved from Germany in 1990. I was so depressed. When I saw the poverty on the east-side of Vancouver I was shocked. Now 30 yrs later I see videos of the east-side and I cannot believe how worse it got. I am glad to live in Germany and Japan!!!!! Thank god!!! I have the money now to rent a motorhome in Canada and travel around for 4 weeks there, because I have money and time to do that. No way to do that as a regular canadian.

Big cities in Canada actually aren't higher in crime. The worst crime is probably western small towns. But even really nice cities like Fredericton NB have far higher crime than Toronto does. This may be changing fast enough that we will see a change, but Toronto is almost an outlier in the world on crime rates. So Pickering is an A- on crime. Fredericton is an F. You would never guess it walking around. Though the same report says Pickering is a D- on health, while Fredericton is an A-, which is ridiculous because you can't get a doctor in Fredericton, unless there is one in the family. So maybe the stats are bogus.

You both should not have waited this long to exit? Have children in the environment you recent? That must be awful torturing to your family. Where do you plan to settle ? Dubai? Pakistan? Malaysia? Salam from Indonesia here. I love Canada though.

If I am not an oldie, I would leave canada as well. This country is not what it is used to be. Also, I think the opportunity is very limited here as jobs wise or for invested in business wise. This country is only good for oldies with money to move in . Cause at least the air is fresh, the living pace is slow, so you can walk a lot slower. As for young one, the opportunity is very limited. If I had won a big lotto , I probably would leave right away even at my age.

Great video! Here's my 2 cents: The Social scene is a Western thing. Difucuty meeting friends is a well-documented thing about Vancouver. I think it's because Vancouver has three large ethnic monocultures, and they're all preoccupied with money. West Coast is lifestyle over the social scene. At the same time, Toronto is much more diverse culturally and economically, and culturally, it has a more outgoing social norm. The housing crunch is partially driven by supply and demand, at least not here in greater Vancouver, where I can see hundreds of brand-new condominiums and townhomes empty or for sale. The real issue is the lack of affordable housing. I've lived in Canada my whole life, and im also considering leaving.

I think you making the best decision and take all the Muslims with you, why Canada adjust to your life leave please.

Thank god I moved to US right after graduating and paid off my loans with a new grad signing bonus. I now out earn anyone in Canada, doctors, surgeons, director of trading at TD, lawyers as well as having an top school district new construction SFH in NY (for way cheaper than Toronto even adjusted for currency), on my way to get a GC, and over a million in net worth. My cars and houses are cheaper, my flights are cheaper, my taxes are lower, my career is better, my investments do better. In Canada I'd be comparatively F-U-C-K-E-D. my condolences to all millennials that stayed in Canada.

One of my colleague worked in Canada for 18 years and died there. Their family behaves as if they are poor and don't have money to bring back his body to India. He worked there for 18 years and they are behaving like poor in front of Indians.

Therefore you are going to move your children to a non-democratic corrupt muslim country due to perceived crimes against a group of people who share your religion, but you have no contacts with. There are no effective democratic muslim majority countries. Should I make family decisions based on Christian ethnic cleansing in North Africa? Should I worry about the massacre of Coptic Christians in Egypt? Your children will regret your actions and will understand why your parents or grandparents moved to Canada in the first place. Canada has nothing fun and nothing good (no the healthcare is shit.... don't even)..... there's a different vibe in the USA and in Canada it's cold it's depressing it's full of immigrants and the people are NOT as friendly as you think........ I left Canada in 1990 and in multiple times back visiting I saw the quality of life declining. But most there didn’t notice much like the frog in the pan of water you keep heating up. Now it’s apparent to everyone and yet Canadians are so deluded by their media they can’t figure it out and think everywhere is like there or worse. When I tell them they are living in a ?hole they don’t believe me. So it keeps getting worse.

This is my 13th year in Canada, I am so sad to see the change, I really hope it will become a better country again with Trudeau stepping down. But we also have to be fair that there are not many countries become better since COVID. Many of you leaving or planning to leave Canada are more like rich country retirees taking advantage of the wage and currency differences between rich and poor countries. So let’s put it this way, if many of you have not worked your whole life here in Canada, will you still have a quality of life in your home countries, such as Southeast Asia or South America? I doubt majority of the population there is make a good money and having great work life balance, and everyone there could afford a decent retirement life. what is more close to nowadays reality is people coming here and hoping they could have a better paid job and settle down here, but most of them found out they are struggling to even maintain their normal life in this country, so they left. For those who came years ago, they made a saving which may not be enough to support a good retirement life here, but is more than enough in other countries, they also choose to flee. Then those successful immigrants will stay here with the option to travel anywhere they want. My son's classmate's grandfather immigrated to Canada long time ago who later become a well known cardiologist and was rewarded as one of the top 25 immigrants Award, all three daughters are now specialists too. I really hope Canada could rise again!

Islamic environment? there is no christian or Hindu environment in Turkey or Saudi or other Muslim majority country; this reason does not make sense. Canada is just a secular country not a friend of any religion.

May I suggest China. In terms of personal security (especially pertinent for children and women) and freedom to express your Islamic faith, China is a strong contender. Being from Canada, the lady would be used to having a status and freedom that might not be available in some fully Islamic countries whereas in China, any limits in that regard would be self-imposed.
