There is supposedly an agreement between Canada and the US called the Safe Third Country Agreement which means illegal immigrants are supposed to apply for asylum in the first country they come to. Unfortunately, because of Trump, the Canadian government doesn't trust any US government to give these asylum seekers a fair hearing. Second, this agreement only applies to official border crossings, not unofficial ones like Roxham Road. Trudeau is absolutely right in wanting to renegotiate the Safe Third Country Agreement.

If Trump gets back in office he will propose to build another wall, this time on the Canadian U.S. border like this one.

I am an American born in NY, raised in VA. I also lived in Van Nuys for a year, also lived in Texas before my job industry moved me to Canada. \ni have been in Canada for 7yrs, been to Vancouver, Toronto and MTL and to be honest i like a lot of things in Canada like the health care differences and of course the lower insulin cost for my husband but i still want to go back home. If anything i would stay in Toronto because it's the closest similarity to home but where Aba and Preach live, in Montreal, it's literally been my nightmare. I feel like the tap water at least in my area has gotten worse over time. \nOne thing i feel like they didn't mention that I have to tell people from America to watch out for is the credit card vs debit card thing. \nI grew up only having debit cards because i didn't want to get into debt. when i came to Canada i continued getting a debit card and realized the hard way that not everything accepts debit cards and you NEED to also have a credit card to access certain things.\nbut overall i do feel much safer in Canada even though the crazy trump lovers are showing up here and there it's significantly less than i see when I'm back home.

Im Asian and I love Vancouver! The weather is beautiful and mild! I enjoy the rainy days cozying up with nice jazz music on gorgeous cafes and restaurants Vancouver has. It is expensive yes, however if your Asian its not, you just havent explored the Asian market place, cheap housing are also available in the outskirt cities and the best part of it is you are near the beaches and outdoor recreation and fun! Taxes are high yep thats true however with three different surgeries my family had from Apendicitis, to Gall bladder stone removal and stent angioplasty that could have cost us millions but got it for free, also the Free education, Child support, CERB, etc, taxes doesnt seem to matter anymore. British Columbia's mountain ranges, ski resort, hot springs, also Albertas Banf, Jasper, and Canmore for me are truly majestic safe and beautiful! Ive been all around South east Asia Europe and even the middle east however the welcoming nature and culture of Canadians and the power of a canadian Passport for me trumps all other cities in other countries. If you want to learn extreme news go to Asia like, China, North Korea, and the Philippines, also the USA the most extreme of them all! Rules are indeed frustrating but Canadian rules are nothing compared to Singapore, if you want freedom try India, try to walk in sexy clothing on the streets. In the Philippines everybody drives drunk specially on Friday nights. The Canadian mindset of a Multi cultural communinty and the welcoming athmosphere of their thinking for me is the reason why Canada is truly the best place to live.

Every country needs a leader like Trump or macron or maybe modi coz Islam is the real threat to the world peace. I worked for Wal-Mart for 16yrs and they are full of sh.t! They are races that 0 tolerance crap is so they don't get more lawsuits than they can handle. The employees get paid crap and if we did get a raise it's an insult of 25%. Hello, I just watched your video. Three years after you made it. I hope you are still with us and a very belated Welcome. Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat.
