becos some of you have never been in a poor or developing country so you will never understand the situation. You have never been to a consulate to apply for visa to Europe, Australia, Canada or US even you were in a very very very very very rich family in those countries ... so never know why pp wanna move to Canada, US or similar countries .... as a Canadian citizen you are free to go to many countries without a visa, That''s one of the best privileges .... You can work hard in Canada and retired well in other poorer countries but those pp could not do that ........

Many years sending money to other countries, supporting other people in other countries, not properly taxing money being sent overseas from immigrants brought into Canada sending expendable Canadian dollars to foreign countries, causing Canada to deteriorate starting at that horrible airport in Toronto. Oil n gas sector has failed. The taxes are terrible. Health care is broken. Schools are broken. And yet more money leaves Canada than is returned in modernization. It’s unfortunate but yah it’s going downhill fast.

A multi-cultural, multi-national melting pot is not to everyone's taste. A country with a predominate Muslim population would serve your needs better. I think you would be better suited in a different country than Canada or the US.

Canada is tanking because of corrupt politicians who are at their core are bought and or compromised by Isreal...I won't elaborate we all know this. \nAs a European Canadian they have done everything in their power to destroy this once beautiful country and my people who are depressed and demoralized. I have applied to universities in Toronto, Canada as an international student for September 2024. But I’ve also been accepted to a university in Victoria, British Columbia. I am now second-guessing my application because so many Canadians are disappointed with the state Toronto is in right now. Is it still worth it to go and pursue my education? (I’m planning to continue in my major until masters, then do research to help my home country but still live in Canada)

It’s too late now. Shady colleges are running it like a business and causing most of the problems. The USA attracts talented immigrants to make a Silicon Valley, while Canada is busy attracting and providing visas to mostly non-merit people. Soon, there will be more labourers than entrepreneurs.

Been here 18 years saw the rise (2006>12) the success (2013-16) and the decline of Canada (2018 onwards) I think that was the last really fun year ever since then it's just been a faded version of itself.. FYI that the major income of the Universities in Canada is from the high tuition fee of the foreign students. Will need to see how the government finds a way to compensate the Universities without cutting professors and staffs

You can NOT buy anything for a dollar in Canada. Not even a pack of gum, not even a can of Coke, nothing. But we have more resources than most of the world and shouldn't have to pay for anything. A disgrace.

All the reasons you cited are legit. And you’re right to say that it’s all relative depending on where you come from. If you lived in Canada for a long time, you will probably cite all the reasons. But if you’re from another country specially from a third world country, Canada is very much better to improve their lives. For me, housing, expenses and weather are the most important reasons to leave Canada. It’s all relative.

These people should stay in their own country and educate themselves there, before being scammed and coming to Canada with no $.

Canada has clearly changed for bad and it can only get worse in the coming years. It is implementing (as has been doing so for many years) a stupid immigration policy that denies entry to many Western talented people, but welcomes immigrants from other very different backgrounds/cultures with almost the only condition being they are young... Sweden regretted that too late. Well, wait for more crime and disorder to come.

Canada was built by immigrants no doubt. When Canadians are unwilling to do the low pay hard labour, and give birth to kids, there has to be immigrants to fill the gap. Housing crisis is the elephant in the room, it has been around for quite a while. Remember one decade ago in Vancouver #donthaveonrmillion? Its worse now. International students became easy solution/target for politicians to blame because they cannot vote. They were considered as solution of labour shortage back during Covid then there was a labour shortage. Sean Fraser the minister of immigration back then made it super easy for international students to stay in Canada permanently. When he takes the office of Minister of Housing, he starts to point fingers to those students. Who let them into this country in the first place? We need more roads more houses. IRCC needs to work faster to get more skilled workers doctors into the country. Putting a cap on current immigration level is not a good idea.

Is canada paying for too many government journalists

The entirety of Canada has become unlivable due to irresponsible mass immigration policies in the last few years.

Canada is not proactively expanding our infrastructure and social services to accommodate this unnatural population growth. This a new racket that is maybe about 7-8 years old or more when I first started noticing it. Asked a student who named a college I had never heard of and now we see numbers like 40K in one institution. It's 100% true. International students are being exploited for tuition money and GIC money. Students have taken huge loans from their home country expecting that they will be able to get jobs and pay off their debt but since last 1 year students are jobless. We are failing to get menial labor jobs. Inflation and rent are sky high and our GIC money is not enough to survive here. I myself sleep hungry sometimes as I don't have enough money to buy food after paying rent. I think if they can't give us jobs and affordable housing, canada should stop calling itself a developed first world country. We should call out the whole system for keeping international students in inhumane conditions.
