No non Canadian citizens should be protesting in this country. Most of them are not here for education. They want jobs and our employers hire them because they are cheap labour. I'm not against immigration, but at one time, you were allowed status if you had a job waiting for you. The whole student study scheme is a scam!!!\nMake Canadians wait for 20 minutes at Tim Horton's!! Good luck with that! They will fire your ass out the door. Pierre Polievre says they are only doing what the government allows them to do.\nThe government has lost control of immigration. Another example of why Canada is broken.

This whole situation is the Federal Government’s responsibility \n\nBusinesses want cheap workers \nSo they say they can’t get Canadian workers,, which is a lie…they can \nSo these businesses can get the federal government to give a grant you pay half the wages of foreign temporary workers \nYet they all become permanent residents, with no intention to ever leave. Canada did exactly what China tried to do minus the industrialization. They tried to constantly prop up their housing market because Canada is such a uncompetitive economy because of all the trash and inneficient regulations. So basically the housing market absorbed all the money via quick appreciation of the assets but now their whole economy is distorted and in shambles. Worst thing is it will come crashing down in the end

I understand this is an economics channel, but saying that NO ONE wants to live in Canada because of 3 issues with the economy that most developed countries in the world are dealing w/ is kinda stupid (It's almost like most of the world is in a recession.?) A lot of this data is straight-up wrong or twisted in a way as to be really misleading. The whole video is just full of inconsistencies and is overall extremely critical of Canada to the point of making it sound like a terrible place to live. You could probably find 3 random issues with every single country in the world to make a video about, there's nothing about Canada that makes it as bad as he seems to be trying to make it out to be.

Canada sucks. Lived here my whole life. 34 years near Toronto. Here's a list of other stuff not mentioned.\n1) terrible school system. Basically go private or subject your kids to liberal ideology and creative learning which puts math and literacy scores at a 20 year low.\n2) terrible Healthcare system. You can wait in line for 1 hour at a walk in clinic. 6 hours at emergency. There's hardly any doctors working.\n3) terrible transit. The public transit is outdated. The roads are always busy with 3 year long construction projects. They actively reduce road lanes to add in bicycle lanes, that are only uses half the year because no one rides a bicycle in -10 degree C. But yeah, we'll still plow the bike lane with tax payer $.\n4) increase in crime. More recent development but lets say it started picking up during the lockdowns in 2020. A lot of immigrants that don't give a f about the law. They don't give a f about the police. They get out on bail the next day. They do crime in broad daylight. It's insane. I don't feel safe. Plus, it's hard to own firearms in canada. You can't protect yourself.\n5) no cultural cohesion. The culture sucks. Bland, boring, fake.\n\nHonestly, stay away from Canada. The only thing it had going for it was it polite and safe. But now it's a crime spree out there. Last I heard, 55 car jacking happen everyday.

Well I say its hypocrisy. Year after year, the immigration numbers keep increasing, the number of people applying for a PR and also getting a PR from abroad and inside Canada keeps increasing. People say they're fed up and they still continue to live in Canada. I say its all a hoax, nobody actually leaves, its just when two friends meet they say they're fed up of Canada, but the fact is they want a PR or citizenship and they continue to stay in Canada. So I say, the whole video is pointless

Not only is it it impossible to live here, there are no resources unless the government gets something from it. As an indigenous child who grew up in foster care my whole life, there was no indigenous foster care homes for me to go to and therefore my culture has become traumatic for me. My OWN culture has major trauma related to it and my foster care agency would NOT help me unless I moved to the reservation after I aged out the THEIR system, which was not applicable because they were the ones who traumatized me. When I turned 19, I was expected to have it all figured out, I was not allowed to remain in my foster home afterwards without massive paper work and thank god my foster mom cared about me because without her, I would be on the streets with nothing but a garbage full of clothes. I moved out on my own with the help of that family and my agency said they would help with things if I asked. As of the economy now, I did ask them. I asked them for any help at all and my social worker LITERALLY ghosted me and stood me up, even at my plea for help. You would think this is just my case but there are hundreds of cases like mine with even worse endings and what Canada has done with this information is nothing. Foster Care in Canada for indigenous youth is the 2000’s way of Residential Schools and I am EXTREMELY lucky to NOT be homeless and dead. Many of my friends in similar situations are dead or homeless and I have no hope for Canada, it’s an extremely depressing reality.

I wanna live here. I just can't afford to. I'm 38 and live with my mum, which is also due to my health but i have lived alone many times. my whole disability cheque would not cover a one bedroom and it's very hard to find a studio, they're all taken. Trudeau isn't the problem. he's a symptom. these problems are happening all over the world. the corporations are grinding people to dust in every country, so that we can log forests and fill landfills, medicate people so they can be Functional enough to create value for a company. any Canada is great, but it, and the world as a whole, at the moment, kid of suck.

Well, Canada as a whole is still well over 85% white European, fortunately. Despite what Wikipedia would tell you.\n\nThere are some signs of sanity beginning to creep back into Canadian politics though. The Roxham Rd. “loophole” is finally gone, by a newly implemented law and agreement between the United States and Canada. Canada is FINALLY reducing the number of student visas and temporary foreign workers entering this country. And I believe that Canadians have also finally had enough of Justin and the Liberals and will elect a Conservative or Conservative leaning government in the next election.\n\nThere are also other ways to peacefully protest what is happing with Canada right now. When it comes to employment, social or political circles, the white Canadian population can just stick with and help ourselves first before we can help anyone else. And that will depend on how easily or difficult it is for foreigners to assimilate and integrate into our country and culture. And if their behaviour is peaceful or violent and destructive.

Back in the 90’s people were pushing to “vote for Clinton” - Husband and or wife because they wanted healthcare based on the “Canadian model”. Sorry to see Canada implode so quickly under Trudeau but I think what you’ll find south of the 49th parallel is that we move much slower towards our demise so people either won’t notice it or associate the criminal economic policy to the economic corpse. The Liberal party has turned Canada into sh*thole. Canada was built on immigrants but the system has been completely overloaded and taken advantage of. Refugees are being housed in hotels wracking up hundreds of millions in costs. And the international student loophole has been completely abused. Before Canada would allow highly skilled / educated immigrants to esteemed universities. Now we let in double the students and most of them are in diploma mills which they get out of and end up taking up every unskilled labour position, pushing thousands of Canadians to the street and making it to where kids can’t even get summer jobs. And letting in this massive increase of immigrants has only made our housing situation even worse. We’re building half the homes than people we’re allowing in. The whole thing is a sh*t show

Its just lower standard of living. people that lived in 3rd world countries, the most tough situation in Canada is still better than their home country. So they are fine. The ones that are not fine are the Canadians that had it easy their whole life, and now they have to compete with these people that have gone through major hardships already and are used to it.

When I passed my Post Graduation in 70' s from London University ( in Engineering) Canadian Embassy gave me Visa and One way ticket for free. While I was in Embassy waiting .. I saw some colorful journals and green in summer mounds of snow in winter. I had grown up Central Indian Climate. 5 years in England still kept me alienated environ cold weather and Culture. Most disturbing was visible Brown skin foreigners for ever.....at 2nd tier of Society ,..... after getting 4 month Valid visa I started probing fron friends who had earlier migrated to Canada. Living, impediment of long very cold winter, 1970's Canada was still racist and Parliament had strong bill waiting to stop colored immigrants and keep country white...Then in 1975 the Bill was voted down. For the reason that old white generation was aging and demanding Pension and Health Care. Welfare Chest was showing bottom and had to be replenished by tax money. Young tax payers were needed. India, China and Black Carribian were overflowing with young workers...so they had swollow Colored immigrants. Country was the largest but most commercia cities are at border of America, because north is brutal cold. Canada could not build population. 30m (10% of USA.) And Economically behind CA$= 0.80USD. Let the Visa expire...and went back to my old country to Start my Consultancy office. Lived in upper middle class tier and retiring with comfortable cushion to survive . Saw the whole world during past decades of active life... Including Canada US China . Don't regret living among brown people where my roots are. No body looks at me as colored foreigner. It is all Trudeau's fault he allowed all this immigration . I am myself immigrant but when in the 5 latest years 87% of your immigrations is one nationality only, there is a problem. Premium Gasoline is $6.19/gallon for regular and $7.27/gallon in Ontario, and $3.62/gallon average in Michigan, 8 cents less than the national average. That's $7.24 for 2 gallons of gas. No wonder so many Canadians were crossing the border to fill their tanks. If you're buying 20 gallons at a time, that's $123.80 - $145.40 in Canada vs. $72.40 here. And a lot of them were buying 25 gallons of gas, sometimes more when they filled up their gas cans.

I don't know why we keep using this term visible minority. 80% is not a minority. 80% is a majority. Anything over 50% is a majority. Anything less than 50% is a minority. Trying to find a job here in Canada is insane. i dont live near a big city by any means, but all low skill, fast food/grocery store jobs are now filled with punjabs. i see the job postings and i apply every time, but I'm constantly overlooked because i am not Punjabi. I've lived here my whole life! I've never liked it, and it's only got worse. When I went to Japan I was treated with more kindness, and respect more than Canada! I'm a recording artist, and there are no opportunities to succeed where as America and Japan have more potential for the music industry where as Canada is dead when it comes to the music business! Add in the fact my main source of income is disability from traumatic abuse. It's next to impossible to live, and manage any financial situation here unless you rich already!

One doesn't need a house in Canada. You go rent an apartment and you may live. Of course, if you earn 2000.00 to 4000.00 CAD per month. Which is rather difficult for immigrants. Usually, your pay is 10.00 CAD per hour, which gives you 1600.00 CAD per month. Which is way too little for covering your bills. Government instead of building cheap communal blocks of flats is building condos. But the cheapest condominium costs 500K CAD and show me people who can afford it....? You buy and pay monthly rent, yeah 2500.00 4500.00 per month only to cover rent. Plus 186.00 for internet and TV, 30.00 for stationary phone, 45.00 for mobile, 600.00 for monthly food for 2, plus meds, dentist, cabbies, electricity, water, then you add toilette, laundry liquid, toilet paper, towel paper, cat food, dog food, then the bill goes over 6000.00 if you wanna live in the condo. You have always private sector housing where monthly rent is from 900.00 to 2500.00, which depends on the district and quality of the apartment. I graduated from college with 0$ student debts. I had back problems that are now gone and paid 0$ for it, and i absolutely never waited more than 2 hours at the hospital. I am a US citizen and think of moving to Canada. Gun violence, homeless on the street, and migrants are hazard to live here. I went to Montreal last summer, staying in Travelodge near Old Montreal. Two nights stay cost me over $500 USD. It is really outrageous as I spent the same amount for a whole week on cruise, including room and all meals 4 years ago. I understand the inflation, but this same hotel usually charged me $200 US dollars in the summer. Now, Canada becomes un affordable to us. ?

I have lived in UK, Australia, US and Canada. I spent 2 years in UK, 1 year in Australia then moved to US for my masters where I also worked for 6 years. So total of 8 years in US, I moved to India and had adjustment issues. Then 1.5 year later I moved to Canada as permanent resident. After 2 years, I ended up leaving Canada back to India. Some people suggested wait for another 13 months and return with Canadian citizenship but I had enough. What I have realized is, for tech/scientific roles, Canada or other countries are no match for the US. \nAlso, Americans are much kinder and open than people in Canada/UK/Australia. All these countries are expensive, quality of work and pay is not good. I was getting 150K CAD in Canada, where I pay 2100 CAD as 1 BHK rent. In India, I make 90K CAD and 2 BHK rent is 400 CAD. To me, America has no replacement, that's why people dont want to leave the US. I was not willing to spend whole life waiting for green card, and other countries are no match for US. That's why came back to India fro second time, despite the issues here.

This is such a badly researched report from BBC. The title of the video talks about citizenship applications dropping but they provide no data to back it up even if it's true. Then they only go to Punjab and talk to a student who left Canada before they became a PR. So that's irrelevant to the story. Then a chunk of the report is about the international student cap which in no way reduces current citizenship applications. The report should only concentrate on PRs leaving the country or choosing to not apply for citizenship. They only had one example of that in the whole video. Also interview PRs from other places other than Punjab. The story might be the same but it's good to know.
