The comments in support of us are great - and I would hope that the verbal support will translate into active measures such as trade preferences, trade deals, military agreements and all the other things we will need as allies with dangerous bedfellows in this strange new world order.

I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. Forget US and start shipping products to Europe, China and India. Make pacts and create meaningful relationships and let US do whatever they feel like doing because ultimately Canada is the 2nd biggest landmass in the world, 3rd biggest supply of oil, 5th biggest supply of natural gas, 1st in the world for supply of potash and uranium, If you include Great lakes then it has 4 coasts that can tie them with water so great opportunity to create best ports, 1st in natural source of water and 5th biggest agricultral landmass. Then why bother and put your energy into someone who don't care. Let US do whatever they like and forget about them. Just don't go to US and don't deal with US.

I am an American and love my country and its people. But TRUMP and Musk and Vance are villains ?! They must be defeated. And they will be stopped. Everyone is forgetting WHY the US has so many bases around the world. The US needed bases in Europe and Canada to easily react to the Cold War they started with Russia after WW2. After that, the US started wars in the Middle East and needed troops nearby on reserve.

When will countries realize America is the friend to NO one. America has always been a bully, a war monger and enjoys war profiteering. We have a president who cares abour the economic state of our country and the morale of its blue collar worker. Our country has been ripped off by people abroad and internally. This is pressure on all governments we do business with for equal trade. We are forcing countries to become more self reliant. Each country needs to become the greatest version of itself unfettered by people dictating laws that enrich themselves at the behest of its citizens.
