My dude you just said that health care is never discussed in american politics. \n\nAlso, all these people saying that health care in Canada takes years and years for things that take weeks in the US are typically full of it. Some provinces that shall remain nameless like to break contracts with health care professionals, resulting in shortages of certain types of workers. \n\nI live in remote northish parts of my province (not NWT, Yukon, or Nunavut), and 6 years ago I was diagnosed w/ lymphoma. They had me set up to do chemotherapy treatment within 2 weeks. They wanted me to start that weekend, but I needed the time to put my work in order for me to be gone for an extended period, get applications set up for EI/Healthcare claims, and figure out who in my family I wanted to share the information with. \n\nIn Canada you end up waiting for elective surgeries and treatments, because they aren't critical by virtue of being elective. That's about it. If you need an elective and have 10K in your pocket not doing anything, go ahead and go to the states.

There is in fact no actual housing shortage in the USA whatsoever. The problem is that that wealthy individuals have strong incentives to park excess capital in real estate and landlords have strong incentives to maintain asset values through cash flow potential (appraised through $/sq.ft rent revenues). What ends up happening in both cases is that you end up with lots of empty houses sitting collecting dust artificially gaining value due to scarcity, and with rentals, you end up with perpetually inflated rents and vacancy rates that are as high as a landlord can tolerate just to maintain the appearance of value to the lenders. Often these owners will borrow more money and use an apartment that might be 40% vacant as the collateral for the lender and go buy another building and so on. What people don't penalize is the fact that that 40% vacant building with 60% rented out at above fair value gets treated on the balance sheet to the bank as if its 90% rented out from an asset value perspective thereby setting the asset price artificially high. Simple legislation of the tax code can fix this issue and unlock lots of sidelined housing. All we have to do is progressively tax 2nd 3rd 4th ect. homes higher and higher rates that essentially cancel out the asset gains, and do something similar for vacant units in a apartment building. \nIts just at the core a case of the rich hoarding something that has been made artificially rare. On top of all of this, because of how valuable properties have become, there are now many interests that capitalize on the entire process of building new housing that make it ever more expensive. Our taxes are funding numerous regulators that stymie new development, while the developers have to then hire numerous attorneys and planners to pitch a project and litigate it through the cities to get approvals. This can take over 10 years in a major city. All this contributes to the ridiculous costs of building these days.

so let's pose a question to all those who seem to just hate the LGBTQIA+ community for whatever their reasons are....if someone who happens to be transgender saves your life, saves the life of one of their team members or perhaps leads an OP to a successful outcome, would you say that they were unqualified after the fact ? would you say that now as the regulations are being changed that they were never qualified to have performed those duties in the past ?? And at the end of the day, all they ask is to be able to serve their country with dignity. Everybody has some sort Internet connection. They need to look up what Tariffs are. When Trump was campaigning he said he was going to put a 25% tariff in China and all of his supporters cheered and clapped ! I’m sitting here going don’t they know that that increase cost is going to be pushed down to the consumer?!?!! It’s the everyday American who is going to end up paying that 20% 25% increased in cost!!! it’s going to affect our living standards and not in a good way! Border control and immigration are absolutely a major issue that needs to be addressed. For instance, Canada should have been on top of border control a long time ago. Before you deported anyone back to their origin, you need to negotiate seriously to benefic both side. How can that be ? Everywhere I go I see tfw working away,some have three jobs. Canadian kids can’t find jobs, all the foreigners have their jobs, subsidized jobs should go to Canadian kids. Perhaps at the end of the year when the government sends 4.9 million temporary workers back to their countries there will be jobs. There will also be more medical, more food , more money. It is already the case when its difficult to get a visa, imagine the situation if its made easier.\n4) Most of the Indian tourists fall under the mass category, they are not like the heavy spending Chinese tourists. We are not the most well behaved, so till we start getting more affluent, we wont be in as much demand.

Palkhi as much as I like watching your news your views here need to address real issues. I am a proud Indian who has lived in the UK for over 50 years. However I have to say whilst there are a lot of highly skilled Indian immigrants on work visas who contribute immensely to this country. however we now have a huge community of Indians those who have come over on illegal documents or on holiday visas and then never go back. They end up working in menial jobs or not working at all and perhaps this is an issue India needs to address. Sadly these immigrants will never be an economically contributing asset to this country or any other country and I am not surprised that the visa rate rejection is so high.

Being a NRI living in the UK i have noticed a lot of Indians come over on temporary visas and end up staying illegally. And this practice is not just exclusive to the uk, i am sure it happens to many more countries where Indian people go. And also many Indian s to survive overseas will end up doing illegal things to survive. This could be a reason behind the spike in visa rejections

Many Indian people go to Canada on student visas and never report to the college. They end up as illegals in the USA and Canada. They come from one specific region of India. This hurts the Indian passport ranking.

Palki why not do some due diligence…research before wasting five minutes and 20 seconds on defending a position. The largest number of overstayers in the UK are Indians….not Burkina Fasosns or Cubans. West London has about 15000 students…who speak so poor English that one fails to understand how they understand lessons in English! They work as waiters at the wedding venues and fast food outlets. \nI found them doing the same in Sydney. They are 18 year old….if they attend any college…it is not a university..but community colleges! What higher education are they going to get there that wasn’t available in India. They don’t have funds to eat two meals a day and end up in Temples and Gurudwara everyday. They fill containers for the next meal too. Their public behaviour and lack of etiquette causes resentment in local population.

Plain and simple, Indians brainwashed about holding citizenships abroad whereas the reality of those of us who are with foreign visas, realize it is just hype. We Indians are succors. Best advice is never ever believe touts, media or friends that it is greener in the West. Go on a short work contract not take a loan or sell up and leave. One of the family memvers may end up with a part time or casual or a fixed contract job. These Western countries are unlike job visas to the Gulf so be very careful before making a move in hope of a better life.

Maybe Indians are being rejected because they travel to a country and end up staying illegally. Another thing, if you stay try hard to assimilate, wear shoes and stop using flipflops every where you go!

Canadian's are forced out there apartments, then they rent them at a higher price to people from India they get more for rent.
