Brilliant speech ...he is good at it ....he sounds so concerned about americans ...and as I see from comments americans are concerned about Canada .....what a wonderful world

Clearly Canada didn’t do enough until pressure was put on them by Donald Trump, JT even states in this speech that there has been a vast improvement since DT asked Canada to up its game. They are now pulling their weight so perhaps the tariffs will be dropped after all. Canada has been a freeloader for far too long.

This is actually Trudeau fault because he allowed the flow of 500,000 illegals into Canada and trump wants no part of it. Trudeau needs to step down gracefully, again. Brilliant speech and strong actions. As an Australian I support Canadians in their fight for justice and fairness. I doubt however that the bulk of Americans or Donald will take any notice of this speech.

I am a Canadian. We do not want conflict with USA. What we want is for our new leader to be voted in - and then work things out for trade. President Trump is aware of what we have suffered. Canada has stood firm.....the truckers in our capital....brought a siege all over the world for freedom. I do not want the tariffs.....that will hurt us both. But I did not like Trudeau's speech.....it was rude. It does not represent us as a country.

As a Canadian I don't like PM Trudeau but he is bang on about tariffs harming everyone and this speech here is fire ? This is going to end badly for Trump just like it did in his first presidency because it will hurt American's economically, and eventually they will push back against Trump. Love that he calls him Donald, not president Trump...LOL.

Just a reminder, Canada/Trudeau commited multiple atrocities against free speech and wellbeing during covid. One example being how they froze the bank accounts of people peacefully protesting the covid mandates. While I don't agree with the tariffs, everybody here should know Canada isnt the perfect, kind, friendly place you think it is. They will turn totalitarian if given enough power or given the right conditions for it.

As an American, I wish I was a Canadian at this time. I don't stand by the T admin... They are all insane. The Prime Minister's speech was so articulate, smart, and compassionate. He doesn't sound harsh but strong and confident. And not anti-American but empathizing with American citizens. Not sure why these CNN folks used those words.
