What makes it worse is that the (new) US leader is in no way responsible to the US electorate and is a War Criminal as recognised by the International Criminal Court. I think we might be making a mistake by saying that Trump is being played by Putin. I am beginning to believe more so that he is an agent of Russia with a sense of agency and the people being played are the people choosing to work for him.

Zelensky was willing to pay Trump $500 billion dollars (or 50%) out of Ukraine’s minerals. And was willing to allow Russia to occupy 20% of Ukraine’s territory. Trump and JD Vance are chastising Zelensky when all Zelensky wants in exchange of the mineral and territorial deal is a security guarantee that Putin will stop invading the rest of Ukraine.

Anyone with any intelligence, in the intelligence community, knows Russian asset behavior when they see it. Nothing Trump does makes sense until you accept the reality that Trump serves only at the pleasure of Vladimir Putin. Nothing about trade wars and tariffs makes sense. Nothing about pulling out of NATO makes sense. Nothing about threats of invading our allies makes sense. Nothing about gutting our Federal government makes sense. Only when you consider what benefits Vladimir Putin does Donald Trump and MAGA make sense. JD Vance is now threatening Ukraine, demanding payback for American aid. @robertedward7023 It can but I think Trump is right on this one. Zelensky needs to realize that he won't get his land back that Russia took, and that negotiating is the only way to come to peace now. He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday. Zelensky has gotten all too comfortable relying on financial aid and as a result he hasn't been willing to try anything new (like negotiate) to get this war finished. If we keep sending him money, nothing will change. Now he has pressure to negotiate. the US and Canada can't keep sending money to Ukraine for the next 20 years while this war carries on.

At current time, where Russia is a heavily injured enemy. Trump's ill treating allies and especially to war heroes, to the first inline soldier fighting, sacrificed, and dying protecting our Freedom, Ukrainians. That is all war criminal Putin needs to escape justice upon him.
