America is considered the power house of democracy and human rights they are double standard. They where supposed to do a constitutional process of checking every illegal immigrant their personal circumstances if they had criminal records and how long they stay in the United States and what they do in the united states if they had any children and family in the united states, help to document those they see fitting then deport criminals of course. Imagine the kind of trauma it brings you leave your wife and kids in united states

I say let them in and send them to Biden/ Harris house. Let them ask why they got invited over to America when this was already against the law to migrate this way. Harris had no process in place to handle the mass migration, no limitations. It was all open boarders leaving all the migrants we already had in America in limbo and giving thousands of dollars to all new migrants with no questions asked????

What a choatic scene. Whoever who wish to enter US or any other countries must go through the proper process. It's illegal and a crime to enter US illegally under US law TITLE 8 U.S.C.1324./1325

From the US Embassy in Venezuela.\n\nVenezuela arrests and detains U.S. citizens without due process or fair trial guarantees. U.S. citizens in Colombia should not go near the border due to the risk of crossing into Venezuela accidentally and being detained for illegal entry. \n\nWe can't go into their country illegally. Why should they be allowed to enter our illegally?

We each have our little flickers of time here... No one else will ever know much, if any, of what it is like to be who we are, and for the most part no one will ever really care. Our life is ultimately our life, and so long as we are not harming others in the process we must create a life of our own meaning, determining our own objects of importance and committing to their pursuance. Throughout our life we are faced with serious decisions about what we believe, who we are, and what we do, and mostly none of it is self evident. If we look we can always find a reason to regret any decision we make, move or stay, agree or disagree, take the job or quit, marry or divorce, live one path or another... In all cases whatever the choice may be, we will only know the outcome of the one we take, and none we take will ever ultimately resolve the uncertainty of life. However, perhaps it is less about getting a potential course of life right, and more about attempting to do so with an effort of self honesty and virtue. To live a life that can be looked back on with the knowledge that some of our decisions were wrong in their effects, but right in their intention of not selling ourselves short. Ultimately no matter what we do or say or believe, there will always be a great many who disagree, or judge, or become upset by our decisions. It is of essential importance that we ensure that among those people, we are not one of them.

Fix their own countries lol that's not even a blip in their thought process, why would they want to fix something that they already ruined when they can just come ruin ours and get paid to do it. when you can make terrible places even worse imagine what they can do to our country in an extremely short amount of time

Moral of the story. Follow immigration rules, and you won't live in worry of being somewhere illegally.\n\nIts not one rule, for the people who invade the country by jumping the wall. Then another rule, for law abiding, good people, that have to go through the process of applying to get in.

They mess up their country and have the audacity to threaten our way of life and as you can see they're not trying to enter through the legal process ?

The legal definition of crime is an OMMISSION that is punishable by law. Those immigrants ommitted to go through the legal process so they ARE criminals.

If you follow the process of properly entering a country you wouldn't have to feel like this or behave like this it is my true belief every single illegal know this was not the right way..

There is in fact no actual housing shortage in the USA whatsoever. The problem is that that wealthy individuals have strong incentives to park excess capital in real estate and landlords have strong incentives to maintain asset values through cash flow potential (appraised through $/sq.ft rent revenues). What ends up happening in both cases is that you end up with lots of empty houses sitting collecting dust artificially gaining value due to scarcity, and with rentals, you end up with perpetually inflated rents and vacancy rates that are as high as a landlord can tolerate just to maintain the appearance of value to the lenders. Often these owners will borrow more money and use an apartment that might be 40% vacant as the collateral for the lender and go buy another building and so on. What people don't penalize is the fact that that 40% vacant building with 60% rented out at above fair value gets treated on the balance sheet to the bank as if its 90% rented out from an asset value perspective thereby setting the asset price artificially high. Simple legislation of the tax code can fix this issue and unlock lots of sidelined housing. All we have to do is progressively tax 2nd 3rd 4th ect. homes higher and higher rates that essentially cancel out the asset gains, and do something similar for vacant units in a apartment building. \nIts just at the core a case of the rich hoarding something that has been made artificially rare. On top of all of this, because of how valuable properties have become, there are now many interests that capitalize on the entire process of building new housing that make it ever more expensive. Our taxes are funding numerous regulators that stymie new development, while the developers have to then hire numerous attorneys and planners to pitch a project and litigate it through the cities to get approvals. This can take over 10 years in a major city. All this contributes to the ridiculous costs of building these days.

If they don’t want to be criminals then they should wait in line and go through the legal process. Jumping the fence and line, breaking into a country is called a criminal. If someone breaks into your house, it would be trespassing, which is a crime. Making that trespasser a criminal.

I bet she got her green card during the Reagan administration ? I am not hating if she did, but I know my mom got her green card during the amnesty program and it was a long process but it was much easier for immigrants vs. now a days immigration process ?

All those same people are still able to start processing their LEGAL citizenship. If they are not willing to do that, why?

I lived in Venezuela for a couple of years prior to their current situation. I love the Venezuelan people. Not a fan of their government though. I feel for them and have no idea how hard it is for them to start the legal immigration process from the Ven. side. Not sure what the answer is there.

Recruitment is not down because transgender people/DEI is not allowed. It is down because the opposite is happening. DEI/Alphabet people are being shoed into places where they do not belong over more qualified other people. This process of putting less qualified people into positions endangers everyone else. Just like female lesbian firefighters in LA who are not strong enough to carry a person to safety think this is the fault of the victims they might encounter and not be able to save. This lowers morale and affects recruitment. If a transistor can meet the current requirements, they should be allowed to finish their time, but nobody else gets a free pass.

Canada has exposed itself to criminals from various countries starting with India who are manipulating relaxed visa requirements. In addition there are no consequences for crime committed. \n\nAdd to that currently majority of employers are opting to hire students and refugees as it is easy to control behaviours. Provincial and federal governments are complicit and in process subjecting Canadians to hardships. \n\nWith American tariffs are on the verge of being forced on the country which in turn will deteriorate living conditions and as a result may cause chaos.\n\nCanada needs to gets its act together and deport majority of these students and refugees or be prepared to suffer.

Sorry but we want warriors who are badass. If you're on hormonal treatments or in process of transitioning, then you are not combat ready. If you've already transitioned and have been stable with your medication for a few years, then join. Until then, your a liability.

My parents were immigrants. They did it legally. They became citizens and they paid taxes and worked harder than borrowed mules coz they wanted a good life for their kids. The absolute audacity to allow ppl in with no checks, no paper work ,no due process, insults every single migrant that followed the law. This is wrong. Wake up.

It’s sad and I empathize with them. But we have our own problems. Come in the right way. There’s families that wait years to come to the U.S legally. Why are those people entitled just to come in. Respect the process.

Imagine showing up at someone’s home with your children and supplies in tow and forcing them to let you in, breaking their windows, doors and screaming to force them to let you in? This is insanity. We need an orderly process.

As someone who has done the immigration process legally, and know of people who have done it legally, I think it’s unfair that these illegal migrants can just come while I and those who done the process right had to pay a lot of money and wait a long time. People who are against this why don’t you understand? I have family who in their own country had to wait a LONG time for a visa just to visit the US and pay a lot too. I’m grateful for that Trump came into the office

I believe that the relationship between a Country and its citizens is much the same as a parents duty to their child. Governments have a DUTY to care for the safety and well being of their citizens. I would like to see a UN declaration stating that governments must accept their citizens back into their borders. And that the home country must reimburse all those governments and organizations that fed, clothed, transported, sheltered and rendered medical aide to their citizens. NO COUNTRY must be allowed to dump their citizens like trash at the side of the road. These are THEIR CITIZENS..IT IS THE HOME COUNTRY'S DUTY TO TAKE CARE OF THEM up until the time they are LEGALLY granted citizenship elsewhere. This application process can be done while the person is still in residence in their own Country. It is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to take the illegal route. Thousands of people have died in the process. This must be stopped by every Country along their route. We have a humanitarian crisis of global significance here..child trafficking, drug trafficking, violent gangs and organized crime all abuse illegal immigrants. If it was your child....what would you do?

When Hitler and the Nazis came to power in January 1933 they couldn't change the constitution so they brought in the Enabling Act, which gave them the power to bypass parliamentary approval in order to pass new laws. In this way they abolished opposition parties as well as many civil rights such as freedom of speech, of assembly, of demonstrating and of due process, as well as a free Press. So began the reign of Terror and the complete Nazification of Germany. BE WARNED.

I’ve been waiting for my husbands marriage visa for 14 months freezing the legal visa processes for Colombians who are married to a U.S. disabled veteran citizen born and raised in the Midwest is wrong. I pray the President restarts processing legal visas for this married to U.S. citizens \nI am not able to walk well and my only caregiver is my husband so I’m stuck in colombia until my husbands visa is approved. Most people here hate President Petro he has ruined the country and now he is ruining it more we can’t speak out against him but my husband and his family do not support the President of colombia and a ton don’t believe he actually won the election. Colombia has always been a close ally I hope the CIA and Delta Force can fix things in Colombia returning to Uribe and strong U.S. allies. Other countries aren’t U.S. friend but Colombians love the U.S. and please don’t punish the people for the actions of a terrible president who ruined the economy here and is only got 1 year left in office maybe the U.S. intel system and military can “handle” the problem of a president who doesn’t have the support of the people. All my neighbors love Trump.

Trump is crazy, this and much more will get worse and worse, why doesn't he start deporting Melania and J.D Vance's wife also? LOL, ALL countries should block all these flights, the Colombian president is right, give each person a dignified process before sending them back, if it was your father, friend, niece, uncle, acqaintance etc. would you want them suddenly deported??!??
|
| 2025-01-27 | 0 |
We have massive amounts of people in our own country who don’t have a home, or job. Nobody should be denied entry to the U.S., once you have been properly vetted, but you must go through the process. People who don’t follow the rules should never be allowed in under any circumstances.

i get it... i do... but man its so hard to see. those aren't terrorists! they're obviously people seeking a better life! is it possible to legally immigrate here? absolutely. my cousin did it. but its not easy. most american citizens wouldn't be able to pass that test, and its an expensive and lengthy process. i do feel so bad for these people. =(

I can't believe that so many young children can be seen here! That's such a dangerous situation for parents to put them in! Apply for citizenship the right way so you can bring your family safely! Then, when your family is here with proper documentation, you'll be able to raise them in security without fear of deportation. I hate to see children going through this. They're at the mercy of their parents' judgement & things could be so much better for them if they weren't dragged through traumatic situations like this, just so their parents can cut corners. Why in the world can't you apply for citizenship the proper way? If your criminal record is the reason that you can't, well that's on you. If there are records of you pulling crap like this, you'll probably never be able to get here the proper way. Instead of choosing to be an actual American citizen, you'd rather choose to live your life as a fugitive & force your kids to live that way too? Give your family a real chance here by following the proper process to become citizens. You'll get a very different reception here.

Not so sure the American dream is to break into the United States by sneaking over the border illegally and taking benefits in an unlimited way. How about congress starts taking a serious approach to creating an immigration policy codified in the form of a constitutional amendment that provides protections and benefits to the American citizens while simultaneously making the process more efficient and transparent. At the same time pass a law that requires the federal government and border states to cooperate and be funded to make the border airtight.

Undocumented migrants/ were they rounded up as we are hearing - also he needs to give the people due process… they are not all criminals. He has no empathy or compassion. These are human beings. Where is your humanity and Christian charity America? Shame on you…a cult run autocratic country.

he is a dangerous idiot who is going to get ppl killed, but it doesn't matter as long as he and his billionaire friends get just a little bit richer in the process

A bigger backlog is a disaster for everyone. I want a decrease in the number of immigrants, but Canada owes it to these people to speed up the process.\nI also think that we should eliminate the Asylum category entirely. No more refugees.

Trump and the MAGA morons should look up the meaning of trade in a dictionary. There is a give and take, there’s buying and selling, that meets the needs of both parties. Trade tariffs is not how anyone with common sense wants to deal with any and every minute dispute like a senseless toddler. Both sides get hurt. Even the tariffs on Russia hurt other countries that imposed them too and that was a calculated move because the war calls for extreme measures.\nWhat the Trump sycophants that probably can’t read need to know is that Colombia accepted hundreds of these flights in the last few years. The only reason they pushed back now is on human indignity. This is the first they received a flight with their civilians cuffed up like animals. The Colombian president said that is not how you treat humans, at least not my people, send them back in a civilised way where they are not dehumanised and we’ll take them. He even sent his own planes later and took them back.\nA sane leader would order his team to review the process and advise them of appropriate measures going forward. An insane, thin skinned snowflake throws tantrums in their diapers and these Trump tariffs are precisely that. Sure, this will reduce the cost of living for the idiots that voted for him ??♂️
|
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
No, you didn't understand the Colombian president's post. He was only against the use of military plane and lack of process, he never said he will not accept deported Colombian immigrants. There needs to be a coordination because they also need to make sure on their end that it's only their citizens that are being dumped in their country and that they're being treated humanely. Also, Colombia just hit U.S. with 50% tariff. Also dont forget there is arround 15.000 North American citizens living illegally in Colombia... So... WTF? U.S shoukd take it easy on his rear flank
