I’m an Indigenous American here, I say if Canada was really our friend then they would understand that they have been taking advantage of our countries kindness for too long and it’s time they step up.. If us trying to do something good for our own country for one time instead of everybody else and it’s a problem like this then maybe we weren’t friends anyway.. That means u were only friendly bc u were taking advantage.. \nPlenty of other countries has decided to pick up their own slack and it’s time Canada and America and the other countries start focusing more on their own citizens.. \nThis man is ready to send Canadian soldiers to die in Ukraine right now for something that has nothing to do with them and now instead of negotiating an agreement it’s all about relation and hurting your own people to get back at others over something you took personally..\nI always liked Trudeau but if that’s how he feels about our country then that’s how we feel about his.. \nwe don’t care about Canada anymore except justing Bieber and Linus media group.. everyone else can go lol..

I'm so glad this has happened. Canada is strong enough to fight back. There's a chance it will wake up the American populace before this US Administration goes too far and tarnishes the country for a generation.

I'm just going to clarify something remember when they said Trump had allies with Russia now you see what the Democrats were talking about. Trump always blames democrats for his faults. Trump had you guys convinced not to vote for Democrat. Now are allies don't even want to deal with the US anymore which is understandable because of what the whole nation seen with their own eyes and heard with their own ears. And when you ask another person to come from another country to the White House they are dressed in their traditional clothing to be mocked by these men is despicable. Real people lost their jobs, real people are dying that need aid,for them to shut down the military aid was a slap in the face,mind you they sit back and laugh about it.. Russia is the last person Trump should be nice Putin is not on the US side it's obvious but Trump laughs with him, communicate better with Putin which is disturbing as well. I'm a Canadian who has always voted for Prime Minister Trudeau and I will continue to vote liberal. I heard a person on the Jake Tapper, C NN, this afternoon say all the companies are coming to the USA not Canada, he didn't mention that they come because they don't have to pay a lot of taxes. Us Canadians take great offense that the spawn of the devil wants to annex our country and he refers to our Prime Minister as governor. The orange dumb criminal and his maggots would probably give part of our country to snakehead war tyrant putin who has interest in the Artic and that would involve Greenland. We Canadians don't want to make life difficult for the American people but the dumb evil cheeto likes tariffs. President Zelenski didn't start the war and he won't be the one to start WW3. putin is a war criminal who controls the criminal organization in the White House and it's leader. I'm from the UK and I am very impressed with the Canadian Prime Minister's response, what a contrast from the felon in the White House. I have been researching which Canadian products are available here and will be switching to them and away from U.S products. And to ordinary Americans who are as disgusted by their leadership as so many of us around the world are, I hope you will be able to reclaim your country back from Trump and MAGA who are doing so much harm to you.

I have to confess I don´t know much about the actual canadian politics. But this reaction of Mr. Trudreau was very impressive. As a german European I know we are together in this completely insane situation initalised by the pathetic performance of the Trump administration. But with Canada on our side, with a strong leader as Trudeau I´m optimistic that the european leaders will also unite and focus not on their differences but on the common interest to stop this destructive US Goverment from destroying the free western society.

Why do I feel like Trudeau cares more about my well-being than my own government? Not all of us Americans support Trump. Frankly, I'm terrified of what he's doing. I support your push back, Canada. For me, this is a major wake up call. We have them an opportunity to be apart of our economy and they’ve used it to threaten us. Both Canada and Mexico. We need to bring everything back to USA and I’m ok with patriotically paying the cost of any inflationary attack from these countries so long as we take EVERYTHING back to the USA.

Trump is a horrible, horrible human. I am devastated over what he is doing. I've never once given Trump my vote and I'm not a lefty liberal. This election wasn't about republicans or democrats or independents. This election was about humanity and global security. American's ignored the writing on the wall for their own singular wants/opinions. They stand with their Trump flags but only a few of them can actually explain any accurate information about his policy or legal issues and they condone his behavior. The majority of Trumpers claim to be 'Christians'. Christians voting for a man who is a bully, abuser, liar, predator, monger of power, impedes freedom of press and speech and aligns himself with a dictator. He pardoned violent offenders and called them patriotic, spouts false information, obstructs investigations, has numerous felony charges against him and has now made enemies with our allies. Shall I go on? That's not Christian. Even if you aren't Christian...that's not what America stands for. All for what...eggs? Guns? Cheaper groceries? Or because your need for hating a small group of people out weighs global peace. Or is it because you are so short sighted that you can't even see the valuable contribution that non American born people provide this country. Yes, Biden fell asleep at the wheel. Yet many of you still believed the better choice was a psychopath. This election was important. We failed as a country by putting this man in office. No matter what party you align with, we failed. Is Canada allowing any refugees from the U.S.??? I’m not joking. My whole family lives in red states like Indiana, Texas, and Kentucky (okay Ky is more purple I guess but definitely leans red despite the amazing blue Governor). We all want to move. It’s only 5 people but 3 of them are elderly. Is there any hope for us?

I am a US citizen and I'm proud of you Canada ??. I didn't vote for the idiot in the WH and neither did none of my friends and family. I'm doing ongoing research to cease any spend on any US product or service. I'm buying software from Europe, using Posteo for email, deGoogling this year and vastly reducing Youtube. I trace all groceries to eliminate anything US sourced and I now check that products are Mexican and Canadian as much as I'm able and they are supplying. I've stopped planning trips to LA and NYC, I might resume if American voters ever have the good sense to vote en masse against obviously fascist plans and personalities. I've holidayed in Mexico three times and would visit Canada and Europe in future. US is not safe for everyone any longer, not even its citizens and looks to be getting increasingly insecure and offering prosperity only to the already mega rich through crooked policies and agencies. Every week or two I double check the facts on groceries and online products/services to make sure I'm not accidentally buying American. The election was so compromised in November I'm glad people are realising the only action we can take is with our wallets from not logging in to 'big tech' to buying bread and apples etc.
