People really think trump gonna lose this one ?

A lot of Canadians seem to want a trade war. When Americans heard that the truckers had gone to the capital Ottawa they were shocked,...mostly to learn that Ottawa was the capital of Canada. Do Canadians really think that most Americans sit up at night worrying what Castro's son will do?

Trump’s tariffs (/geo-economic warfare)—and his desire to annex Canada and Greenland and seize back control of the Panama Canal—has got little to do with immigration or drugs coming into the US (whatever happened to Build the Wall?) especially in the case of Canada. It’s about debt and power, the former growing, the latter fading. Trump himself has said tariffs are a means to make America wealthy and to abolish income tax. It’s got to do with America living outside its means with massive deficits and ballooning debt, and rather than take responsibility for that, the US thinks others should pay (when US consumers will) for it to continue to live outside its means, while it cuts taxes largely to the benefit of the wealthy... \nRemember when Iraq invaded Kuwait, how it said it was because Kuwait (and the United Arab Emirates) caused a drop in oil prices with the overproduction of crude oil, thus impacting Iraq’s ability to pay its debts and recover from the Iran-Iraq war, but really it was about seizing Kuwait’s large oil reserves, canceling the debt it owed Kuwait, and expanding its power in the region… Sound similar?

Did they really think its bout race or ethnicity. Illegal is illegal.

Why do these people think we have a open door to our country ?? This is ridiculous. And I dont want to hear from your liberal fucktards about “ everyone in America is an immigrant”. No , I’m not. I was born here. I didn’t come from somewhere else, neither did millions of others. You want to come that’s great, do the paperwork , get legal and pay the taxes. It’s really that simple.

Together let’s do something about it instead of leaving. Canada isn’t a country like China where no changes can be made by its citizens. I’m an immigrant, first arrived here in Canada in 2014. Once I heard the US wants to annex us I asked myself what can I do to help prevent this. I think the quickest way is we need a stronger military. I looked up the Canadian military website and found out me as a permanent resident can also be qualified to apply. Although the compensation isn’t that great, if the US really start being unwise I will definitely apply.

I think the trans issue has a lot of complications that really don't need to play out in the military. I accept the body God gave me and I can't imagine what people go through who can't. It's concerning though that while they're fighting their internal fights it may project on to others. Just because this one man didn't doesnt mean everyone is like him. Should be a case by case basis and not a blanket policy.

Im sure that there are exceptions to the rules.Very few. In my opinion, i would definitely feel better knowing that the soldier next to me in a foxhole was a real woman or a real man.Also i really dont think its right for a woman to fight in wars.They need to stay at home with our children.

You can be disqualified from service for having anxiety or dyslexia, do we really think someone that's confused about their gender is mentally fit to serve?

I live north of El Paso, due north in New Mexico. Don’t kid yourself, this crowd will get much worse. I live in a big town and you used to stop at a traffic light and they tried busting your window to grab your purse. Then, it was under Biden, they finally moved them into shelters, hotels, churches and paid them money (on debit cards) and gave them free medical care along with their free housing.\nEven then one young guy took his revolver in to rob the waitresses of their tips as a pizza place was closing. The owner came out to see what was happening. The guy shot him point blank 9 times. He was arrested but we never knew what happened. In this blue state, I doubt he is even in jail now. Do you really think that those coming in don’t expect all the hand outs? We can’t just keep being so nice, there is going to have to be physical consequences.

Why does this only apply to certain people. I think everyone in America who was not born here should go as well. If you have parents that are not from the US that makes you associated, so you should go too. So raise your hand if you have immigrant ancestors. Come on don't be afraid. Can you guys report that this was a loss for Trump because the Colombian president said that he has no problem putting a tariff right back onto us. As a Brit I know many decent integrated Indians here. But none of them are recent arrivals. Older immigrants were respectful and wanted to be British and adopt British ways. But newer immigrants act as if we owe them something while acting in disrespectful dirty disgusting ways. For example in India I have to use Indian toilets as Indians do. I don’t pretend I don’t understand how to use them, I don’t need instructions on the door and I don’t break the toilet by standing on it, shytting up the walls and all over the floor and leave it there like that’s normal. I’ve worked in offices where this was routine when Indian contractors were brought in. Integrated Indian men seem to take great pride in dressing smartly and smelling good. But it’s really common for Indians to smell REALLY BAD. Poor personal hygiene plus excessive amounts of Indian food (you’re abroad ffs try some different food!) creates a truly vile odour. Some Indian men also think it acceptable to stare at and harass British girls (although to be fair they do not have as bad a reputation as their neighbours) they are also rude and racist to white people especially women. Some Indians in 2025 still seem to think they’re living under the Raj and Britain is ‘oppressing’ them. They’re not and we’re not. The empire brought benefits to India and left peacefully over 70 YEARS ago. We don’t owe you ANYTHING. This victim mentality means India will NEVER be a proper first world country. You can flood the world with sheer numbers but you will never be respected or improve the world in any way, you will only ever leech off the invention of others. I do not mean to disrespect the many decent Indian people I’m just telling the truth. As a culture your presence outside of India is negative because of the way so many Indians act, trying to create India wherever they go. And they have the cheek to say this is ok because they got colonised. WELL SO DID WE! That is the truth.

Canada allowed so many students to come, charging $40-50k on average, and kept bringing in more. Now they're claiming that the number of students and their dependents is the problem? As an NRI for a decade in Germany, I can assure you that not a single person in the developed western world looks at India with a nicer opinion. They think of it as a necessary baggage. They will only allow Visa on Arrival/E-Visa for people whom they respect and would like to be in the country. While I do not want to get into how some Indians behave when they are on their EU trip, Indians in India do not behave well too. This involves hygiene, roads, infrastructure, intelligence, corruption, etc. Indians tend to look at the Indian flag with tears in their eyes while listening to A.R. Rahman’s “Vande Mataram” with Bharat Bala’s video. But the reality in the western world is this: India is a loud, messy, unhygienic, poorly organized country filled with corruption and crime everywhere. Now, why would a well-developed country open their doors to potentially unruly 1.4 billion people? The reason for visa rejection is that a lot of them simply apply for a tourist visa and never leave. If someone really needs to travel, they will have the money and the motivation to apply multiple times. Hence, the first check with multiple layers of bureaucracy.

Consider: in many places you have or COULD have excellent climate, a REALLY BIG PLUS. Some places have beautiful or could be beautiful beach areas. I think your amazing grand canyon. To that, I think 'tourism' which should have all levels of financial possibility.

You get to these destinations by hook or crook, you eventually get busted, yet you have nerves to be cocky, pretend to be robbed, discriminated, cheated, victimized instead and gather nerve to seek PR, green card, white card as compensation and even a job? I mean how far you would go thinking world is stupid and you can prove it.\n\nSORRY, there are hard working, intelligent and qualified Indians that get visa and there are people who get visa on family migration quota for example but many others, give me a break.

I think the rabid immigration should stop as it will damage Indias reputation even more especially with the quality of people who are going abroad. The countries who give them visas are fully aware that there are universities that earn them forex but this could be really damaging to their countries. What happened in Canada is of course an extreme case and other countries can probably learn from it \n\nAlso India should restrict exit and not give out loans to people who do not intend to return. That will also help curb some of the illegal exits.

Ethics and civil behavior is needed in India itself. If people travelling in planes with a bit of money start to think they can get away with any kind of sh** then sorry but this is bound to happen.\n\nI saw behavior of some while travelling to Malaysia how some of them were just demanding business class upgrades because they had a child. Another who just sat in one seat thinking he can get away with it and gets into an argument with the stewardess. Pathetic behaviour really. It is sad we did not invest much either in our families own and in schools to correct this. We should learn how to behave in public by the Japanese. They are the gold standard.

The easiest thing to do is blame other countries for the rejection without thinking why certain types of countries reject and what has our citizens done in those countries? No point in thinking about a few people who helped build Dubai or those one of cases like Pichai & Nadella. Think of those who go their and cause concern to those countries.

I have been living in canada my whole life and worked my ass off to get into a really prestigious university program. Everyone I knew is looking to leave Canada, and mind you these are all HIGHLY skilled stem grads. I am included in that as well, I love Canada, but I am also an Indian, nobody sees the difference between me(someone who has been raised here) and someone fresh from India with no lack for the culture. (unless they hear my accent) I don't think staying is worth it. Probably looking to head to the states.

Idk what’s going on in China, sometimes Xi has a ton of generals and people around him. Next he’s sitting at a desk representing China all by himself.
