Watching this coming from a 3rd world country just reminds me of how privileged people in 1st world countries are. \nYes, people have all the right to be mad/upset about all of these issues because everyone in the world should have access to a good life, but truth is: covid fucked up the entire world and all of these problems are problems 3rd worlders have been dealing with their whole lives and honestly? They’re far from the worst problems we have to deal with. \n\nI get people wanting to leave to search for better opportunities and lifestyle, but saying Canada is dead or that it’s a bad place to live is just such privileged bullshit.

I’m confused is Palestine “the worlds largest open air prison” or is it a place where Palestinians willfully want to be? These messages are in direct conflict and are coming from the same side. Make up your mind, if people want to flee and become refugees, why not let them in Saudi? They are you Arab brothers and sisters are they not? What a joker

Instead of looking at it as people coming look at as debt crime and the collapse of the our country. There are not enough jobs for the people already here so all these people will end up on some form of public aid straining whatever city the go to and when we can’t sustain any more and collapse all of them will return to their country of origin and go about their lives while we sit In the ruin. So unless your letting them move into your house and you support them without any state or government help then shit your mouth and finish the wall

I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.

I arrived in Canada when I was 5 and been here for almost 50 years. I think people forget how much the original folks struggled. You hardly found an Indian store and were discriminated against. I think you made some valid points Canada is heading in the wrong direction and we need to blame the government. We don't even have affordable housing or Healthcare to support the increase in immigration. These no name colleges are making money at the expense of poor students. These students then have to work in low paying jobs. I really don't see any scope for some of these students. Think twice before coming to Canada because even I am thinking about leaving this country now...high taxes and it will only get worse!!

Yes they have the right to their land but they think all Israel is their land which is ludicrous. There were a small number of Jews who never left Israel when conquered so many times. More over, it’s very convenient for him to say “we don’t want them to leave, they don’t want to leave” you mean I don’t want to have the burden to support them, let’s just keep them there and tell them they need to stay. If there are people who want to leave to safety and come back later, they should be allowed and all Arab countries should help the most. Finally, when he says stop the killings… I hope you referring to Hamas. After all he attacked in an inhuman way murdering innocent people and taking so many hostages in which a 9 month baby now his first birthday will be coming up and these savages still have him. So again, is he referring to Hamas? I doubt it!

This is mostly the marginal explanation. What is actually causing the problems in Canada is PRECISELY the expectations of a high standard of living absolutely everyone has, including brand new immigrants. Who as if they were owed a palace immediately begin complaining about the work they have to do and the fact they're not immediately appointed the king of Canada. To put simply, we have an incredibly spoiled population, a population that expects low prices for everything and has a terrible productivity overall and does not wish to work in the kinds of jobs that every economy needs in order to fuel everything else. Food production is the so-called inceptive value. The more food you produce, the more people can consume it, and this in turn flows through the economy to enable all the other kinds of economic activity. We have to bring in hundreds of thousands of temporary foreign workers from Mexico just to be able to harvest. In the past, Canada allowed immigration from all over the world of people who were mostly poor, refugees, and those desperate for a new life. They worked all the time doing every kind of imaginable job in every kind of condition. They built this country with their perseverance and hard work. The immigrants today, are selected on a points-based system, and the idea behind this is that someone with two university degrees, or trained in a profession, even if they don't work in their field in Canada because they're all sorts of barriers to transferring your education, are not very likely to be criminals or antisocial types. Criminals or antisocial types. In other words, Canada has chosen to attract high quality candidates on the assumption that they would be less likely to become criminals, while they in turn, having been picked from the best in their society, arrive in Canada with very high expectations, and discover that actually they're going to have to work in all sorts of other kinds of jobs and will probably not work in their field, even though that's what got them the points to come to the country. The country. This is the brilliant system brought in by Stephen Harper's conservatives, which brings in people with high education, and allegedly high skills, especially high language skills, so the government doesn't have to pay for their language training, but it doesn't consider the fact that these are very often people with other choices, who are not willing to work in construction or farming or service or retail or all those kinds of things that we desperately need workers in. The reason why we can't build enough housing has nothing to do with local governments and property values. It has to do with lack of labor. This education system, for some unbeknowned reason, is absolutely terrible, and provides basically no skills, training or education for the vast majority of high school students such that when they graduate high school, their forced to go to university or college. Since they have absolutely no training. In most parts of the world you finish high school and you have a trade, or you have some skill to begin working, the kids here know nothing. Nothing. Other than emotional safety, intersectional language, and wokeism. On top of that, the government has brought in every kind of environmental restriction and regulation on account of incredibly loud, but actually small minority of enviro lunatics, who most of the time use these environmentalism as a cover precisely for protecting their high property values in very luxurious and special places around the country, and they oppose logging and all sorts of resource extraction under the guise of environmentalism. But it's actually to preserve their special privileged position often in some wilderness or island, where they might be the only one or a handful of families who got lucky to somehow own a property. Property and so they oppose everything on account of environmental reasons. But it's just to keep people out and preserve their own privileged place. This country also as most others suffers from the illness of dishonesty and lack of integrity brought about by a culture of marketers where nothing is the way it is said to be. Everything is a fine print. And we have gotten used to this as normal. We've gotten used to having credit cards, charges, 25% interest, we've gotten used to being ripped off constantly by all the corporations for everything, and nobody complains and they just borrow more and they just bottle it in and now it's finally coming out. Out. People are fed up of the enviral lunatics. They're fed up of people who complain and bitch one moment about the pipeline and then complain and bitch the next moment about the high cost of gasoline when the pipeline is temporarily shut down for servicing. The problem with Canada is Canadians.

What in the hell is all these people going to do in the United States? I don’t think there’s enough jobs for all of them really or are we just supposed to pull our pockets inside out and take care of them this is getting ridiculous. Quit coming to America.

This is NOT emigration! This is invasion! Pure and simple, these people are invading our country, and this has got to stop! If the GOP wants to win in 2024. Pass a law telling all illegals to go home. It will be voted down in the Senate or if it passes both houses and goes to Biden's desk, he will surely VETO it as quickly as possible! With that to use coming up to the election, the Republican Cantidates can hardly lose.

1) Toronto is poor value. Getting housing of any kind (buying or renting) is stupidly expensive. And the quality you get for the price is lousy. Especially the newer builds, which are just thrown up as quickly as possible and sold to investors. Policy measures generally all seem to serve to just inflate the price of housing further. The occasional lip service given to affordability is amusing, but ultimately sad. There are lots of people who really do not want the housing bubble to pop. They will fight against it with all they have.\n\n2) It has become kind of boring. There is lots to do if you have money, but it’s harder to find entertainment on a budget. Even the free stuff like parks are filling up. Stuff like sporting events, eating out, going out is very costly across the board. Even the “cheaper” stuff is expensive. It seems like a lot of local culture is disappearing. Even the cool neighbourhoods are filling up with the same chains. I think the high commercial rent and bureaucracy is deflating a lot of would-be entrepreneurs. Most landowners seem to just be banking on cashing out their land for condos.\n\n3) Canada overall has a high cost of living compared to salaries. In the US you can find lower cost of living areas that still give you a real city experience. And in Europe you can be poor but still live a decent, if no frills, life. In Canada the basic necessities are all expensive. Phone bills, grocery bills, rent, insurance are through the roof. Domestic travel is expensive. And the dollar sucks if you want to travel abroad. Health care is free but good luck finding a family doctor or waiting 8 hours in the ER these days. It’s expensive to be poor, or even middle class.\n\n4) Most of the Greater Toronto Area, outside the core, is soulless suburbs with awful transit - very “American” except with worse traffic congestion. You will need a car, which is another huge cost. Row upon row of old cookie cutter suburbs with the same crappy houses. Good luck walking anywhere, and if you do you will need to walk down boring, treeless arterial roads with cars zooming past right beside you, and cross giant eight lane intersections that were never built for humans on foot. In a rainstorm or on a fall evening you have to be really careful not to be run over by aggressive drivers.\n\n5) It is hard to raise a family in an apartment here. You can do it but it’s not very easy, and also you are still kind of judged for it. Lots of young people are feeling stuck and are deferring or avoiding starting a family. Buying any type of house, even a basic townhouse, requires pledging your soul to a bank by taking a massive mortgage with eye watering debt in a volatile market. But few apartment buildings have the kind of sensible gentle density, the family unit sizes and the common amenities, like little courtyards with jungle gyms, that you might find in Europe. No one ever contemplated that anyone would ever desire to raise kids in an apartment. It’s just a cultural thing that has worked its way into how things are planned and designed.\n\n6) The transit system is ok by North American standards but awful by international standards. There are only two real subway lines, one stub line, one line that is permanently out of service after a derailment, and another line that was supposed to open a couple years ago but still has no date for opening. The subways go out of service frequently, sometimes for the dumbest reasons, and then it is a zoo of shuttle buses. The streetcars are nice but so slow. The buses are fine if you find yourself dreaming about riding a daily herky jerky rolling tin of sardines. They are building a lot of transit but it will take decades to get done.\n\n7) There is still a lot of cool multiculturalism and opportunities to experience different foods and cultures - one of the best things about Toronto. Increasingly though it seems to be losing the fun vibe of the 90s, when everyone celebrated each other’s backgrounds and was chill. It seems the immigration is not as broad based anymore and also people are importing a lot of their “old country” grievances here. The immigration system also kind of preys on people abroad by selling them a false fairy tale, so they end up dejected when they arrive and see how things really are.\n\n8) This one might be controversial but it’s kind of an ugly city. There’s nothing particularly of historical meaning or value. Some of the older neighbourhoods are kind of nice, but the last 25 years they have only built giant glass skyboxes, one after another. There aren’t the cool “missing middle” walkups like in NY, Chicago or Montreal (or even LA). There are very few buildings with much architectural character. Some of the buildings they deem “heritage” here are an embarrassment.\n\n9) For safety, honestly on this score I think Toronto is not bad. There are not too many real “ghettos” and it’s night and day compared to much of the US. With that said, there is more vagrancy and social issues these days, with tents and such. It’s very sad but the shelters are full, lots of homeless go into the libraries, parks and transit system. It does make it harder to enjoy these public amenities safely. It is nowhere close to Europe where you might let your kids run free around town. Canadian parents still helicopter their kids and the place again is not designed to really be safe for kids, in the same way as Europe.\n\n10) Finally, a bit of a double edged sword. Toronto had a lot of youthful energy - people coming here from all over. It is definitely not as sleepy as many parts of the world. With that said, it is becoming a bit of a transient place (minus the world class experiences like London or NY). If you are from elsewhere you might find it hard making and keeping friends. I’ve seen lots of people struggle because it’s is hard to build a strong social network. We have a very “shallow” culture here - people are extremely polite but not overly warm and hospitable. We treat one another kind of like neighbours - meaning we’d like to have a cordial, drama-free coexistence and otherwise kind of stick to ourselves.

These are the people who resort to juggars, which is why they spent a decade in Australia without PR. Now they’re branding themselves as a success story whereas all they are doing is discouraging people coming through the right pathway. I still know people who got their passports (not just PR) within 5 years of landing in Australia. Hope those kind of people can also come forward as examples.

How do we know before they step foot in the US if they are convicted murderers or people that have a history of trafficking people? Can anybody interview these people and get a feel for why they are fine with sleeping on the streets and if they know if a lot of the people coming here are dangerous? I've seen 4 interviews all by citizens and they all said they have considered going back home because there are so many cartel people being planted all around the United States. I understand some of these people want a better life and that's fine..just please allow yourself to be background checked enough to make sure you aren't a danger to any of the citizens of this country

As a African living in Canada, l can only say that life is hard everywhere however, there has been an influx of Africans coming here as visitors and then claiming refugee status. The system is overwhelmed and these people, if they have no money or familial support, will end on streets. Secondly, most immigrant go Toronto, they do not consider other provinces where resources are not as strained hence the homeless situation. Be smart, do your research and consider other regions, NWT, Nova Scotia, Saskachewan etc. Ontario is flooded!!

I live in Canada as a Kenyan and I have been here for sometime .I work as a HR/Payroll Specialist also certified in the field. The problem is not Canada , Canada is a very good county which I love and I am gland God gave me the Opportunity to Come and settle here with my family.. The problem with some people coming here is lacking of knowledge how Canada works .It’s system is very far from how things work in Dubai or Gulf countries. A lot people are thinking than you can just come and get any job even without proper papers or you can earn a lot of money and then build wealth quickly. Which is A BIG FAT LIE. The tax in Canada keeps you humble. That is how Canada funds it's high end life many admire and want to be part of. The more you work in Canada the more tax you pay and many don't know this, and it is one of the main reasons why a lot of people start to regrets, because they realize there effort of working hard is not paying as they hoped. Another thing in Canada is next to impossible to get jobs or rent a place without proper paper work, like work permit, It is not like USA where you can use someone else papers to work. the The main available jobs , easy to get , don’t pay much. And also the cost of living is very high in some provinces like Ontario and BC. They hardly recognize credentials from outside unless you came through a job offer. Also because a lot of things in Canada are paid by the government through taxes, like health care, education. Unless you are tax paper with (and I repeat) Paper work, you cant access the benefit, including thee free food available for the needy. \nMany people forget Canada is looking for people to work for them. Not to grow rich and leave. The system is meant to keep you working. Unless you understand how a system of a country works, one will continue to blame it. Let people get well informed and well educated first , before they jump in the river. And it’s not Canada a lone , but any country in the world. Also a lot of these media post about Canada are misleading. And there is also another trap called debt, a lot of people once they getting working, rush to but things they cant afford and it becomes a stress instead of a blessings.\nIf you want to live well and enjoy Canada . One of the top thing to do is, go back to school once you enter in it, get a good education and you will get a good job. Also give yourself time to adjust. REMEMBER you are starting from square one. You are not continuing where you left in Kenya or in the country you get from. Also, the general social climate is not as friendly as those in USA for example. Not many people are willing to help for free. The most jobs advertised in Canada are the lower end paying jobs, which a lot of people pay a lot of money to come for, just to realize the job they left behind was far much better than this, but no one told them that, just because it said $18 hrs and you converted it to your country and looked a lot, doesnt mean it carries the same wait once you earn in from here. The living expense are very different. The reality is, it is not where you are , but whom you are and determination knows no barrier. Anyone who will trust God for help, work hard/smart and be patience in life, they will make. It might take longer than they expect, but they will get their eventually.

So one day close to the beginning of a new year, a bunch of people strolled over to the Capitol building. They were very surprisingly escorted inside. In fact one was physically escorted by police around the building as he showed patriotic reverence for past leaders and current leaders. It’s interesting because he and others like him were SET UP as domestic terrorists, hunted down, incarcerated, civil rights denied for over a year., YET , somehow these people who are storming our border will be paid, given a phone and shelter, treated like kings!!! They are coming through Panama and getting their funding from the WEF! When we fall, everyone else will, too! Our armies are off somewhere else while our homeland is being overrun purposely by these people. There is a plan!!

Lynn the problem is people don’t make their own research. Even if you show this, people are going to still go there Lynn. Just like the girls who go to the the Arabic countries even when they see what happens to the girls who go there. People are desperate and just hope for the best I guess. But all countries are struggling after the pandemic ? and some are also struggling with the people coming in illegally with boats. Europe and the USA are struggling with thousands of people coming in daily, which means the governments have to support all these people before their cases are being worked on. So they are working hard to send people back that are not coming from a country with war. Also means the jobs that don’t demand high education are on very competitive. Canada and some of the developed countries only want highly educated people with skills. Who can start working right away and contribute to the society of course through paying taxes and taking care of their families. But the struggle is real.

Until they fix the problems in these countries of where these poor people are coming from, this migration will continue.

While I agree with everything you have said I want to present a different perspective to the viewers. Here's my litmus test for coming to Canada. If you can answer any 2 out of these 3 questions with a 'Yes' you should definitely not come to Canada.\n1. Can you open up a tap/faucet anywhere in your home country and drink water without any worries of filtering it or boiling it?\n2. Do you make enough money or already have enough money to be able to breathe fresh clean air 24/7?\n3. Do you feel safe if you, your spouse or your children have to travel alone in the city or on the highway in middle of the night using public or personal transport?\n\nI don't know about where you are, a good lot of people would answer these 3 questions with a YES in Canada.

Why are these idiots coming here still? Do the ones who already came here just refuse to tell people back in India how bad it is.I am seeing these students begging on roadsides for work now.

I am an immigrant from South Africa here in Edmonton since June of 2023. What the brother is saying is true. Canadians make no room for the human element in the workplace/environment. Everything is based on productivity at the expense of your humanity. They also treat workers as very expendable and disposable. The fact that they import so many foreign workers to do certain jobs is perhaps a reason why born Canadians no longer want to put up with the exploitation (I don't know if this is the true reason though).\n\nCanada is very convenient, and public services and infrastructure are amazing compared with South Africa. But the rest of the culture is very sterile. Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and Ice Hockey are considered cultural identities. Maybe the older generations had a distinctive culture, but most Canadians of today's are only interested in consumerism and the car lifestyle. If you are looking for people with warmth and depth, you will most likely find it with fellow immigrants (and maybe the poor and marginalized communities of Canada).\n\nCanada is a very safe country, and South Africa may not be worth it for me to return to. But the strongest element I thought for coming to Canada was that people here appreciated life and each other. This is not true. Canada is 'stable and happy' because the people are intoxicated by the comfort that material wealth provides the individual (despite all their complaints and problems, most Canadians still lead very comfortable and easy lives). Take away their comfort and materialism, and they won't know who they are. They won't know how to stand together either since they have been so strongly conditioned to live for themselves as individuals.\n\nCanadians are known for their politeness and friendliness, and this is true. But there is a big difference between politeness and kindness (and being genuine). Canadians are not kind.\n\nMy opinion is obviously limited and biased. I am sure there are wonderful and pleasant exceptions. But I will still limit these as exceptions. \n\nThink hard before choosing Canada (and perhaps also the USA). Unless you have a strong community to support you here, it will be a lonely and alienating experience.

These people need to realize no one is coming to save them.Not America not anyone.They need to bring the same energy to the people in their own countries who are the primary cause of this.All embargoes that America has against these countries should be lifted .\n\nWhere is BRIC?\nWE NEED TO HEAR AND SEE YOU

Imagine being a doctor, lawyer, or engineer in your own country, living a comfortable life, earning a comfortable wage, and you naively leave all that because you think you'll move to Canada thinking you will live the Canadian dream of a better life. Almost all immigrants have a way better job in their country but they come to Canada still. It's so sad that immigrants believe these silly lies. Canada is hard to live in and it is expensive! Why leave your country??? Stay in your country and stop coming to Canada thinking it is easy, it is not easy, it is hard people are suffering and need to work 2-3 jobs to survive! Stay in your country!

Lot of these people are coming here to commit crime that they can't do there in their country. You see just as many Hispanic gangs as blacks.

The problem here is everybody is blaming these poor people that want to come over for a better life and opportunity to get away from a corrupt government that has them in poverty, with no hope of prospering! But we look at it in this country as troublemakers coming across the border and that’s not the case not to say that there’s not people that won’t make for trouble who are in that crowd but overall just good, hard-working people who are getting ready to probably be treated very poorly once they get here And if that’s not enough, but you can never fault someone for picking up a job. Americans won’t do and trying to make their way under the most heinous of circumstances. Maybe we are the ones that need a heart check❤ there are things that people have had to go through to be in this country for a normal life like floating on a raft for over a week or walking through 100° desert ? mountainous, terrain with children, risking their lives, or having to cross tumultuous rivers, Some will never know the hardships and the desperation, that others have had to endure in this life just for a hope of the better tomorrow less the sorrow ?❤ we take things for granted in this country not realizing that we truly are the Promised Land that everyone is seeking ❤

Maybe all these people can help us find our government. In that case, I am happy they are coming.

These people need to know we can't take care if the World. As a Canadian the American system isn't broken. We have so many immigrants coming in from India and Nigeria you can have them. Not only are they disrespectful, but greedy and have no problem throwing trash directly on the ground. They also contribute to wage suppression meaning that they are willing to work for a lower rate of pay. Many Canadian companies will not hire these people given that they don't have North American experience, so therfore will be forced to use food banks and the welfare system.

I hate this so much. I know it’s not these peoples fault that their countries aren’t helping them but America isn’t even helping its own people. Imagine how it feels to be from the US struggling and then these people come and somehow our country has the means to help them when they won’t not can’t won’t help their own. What other country do you know of where you can just decide to cross their boarder demand help and say you know what I’m just going to live here illegally now. And if we don’t help them they have all kinds of ways to sue the state and demand help even though they’re not even citizens. That’s what’s crazy to me. They make you do a bunch of stuff before you can travel and some countries won’t even let you visit let alone live there with or without a criminal record but these people can just walk right in. Any countries borders are important they are there for protection. Ours are not being protected which means the country is not protected. I just don’t see this turning out well for anybody, not them not us. There is a scene from the titanic that I’d like to relate this situation to. The scene where Roses mom is in the boat with that other lady who has new money the chubby one. She wanted to let people on the boat that were drowning around her, and dude wouldn’t let her. I have mixed feelings about this video. This video does a good job outlining the immigration process but it does not highlight any of the negative consequences of immigration that Canada is experiencing. One of the main reasons why cost of living is so high in Toronto and Vancouver is precisely because we have so many immigrants coming in without enough housing supply. This is by design because politicians and the upper class have a vested interest in keeping real estate prices high because so much of their net worth is tied up in the housing market.\n\nAnother negative is that employers hire immigrants working low skilled jobs and pay them less than Canadians because the immigrants are willing to be taken advantage of since they're just happy to have a job in Canada which pays better than their country. \n\nAnother myth that gets repeated is that Canadian takes immigrants out of compassion and unfortunately a lot of Canadians believe this. It was never about compassion, it's about bringing more people to 1) pay taxes to support our social welfare as Canadian birth rates decline and boomers retire, 2) keep housing costs high and 3) pay immigrants lower wages for the same work because immigrants are fine being exploited since they have a job in a first world country.\n\nAnother problem is the cultural shift. In the most immigrant-dense regions you'll find that many immigrants themselves surprisingly don't want more immigrants coming to Canada because they see these negative consequences. The people who are most pro-immigration have no problem cramming 8+ people in a basement and exploiting their labour because they make enough money to live in communities that immigrants can't afford, and so they don't have to deal with the cultural shift that's taking place. This is NOT the fault of immigrants, but rather the politicians who put economic growth over quality of life. Over HALF the people in the GTA weren't born in Canada, so they didn't go through our school system and have no connection to our culture. Canada is unfortunately going to become very racist over the next 10-20 years as Canadians start feeling like outsiders in their own country. It's somehow considered racists to criticize the effect of multiculturalism on social unity, yet the cultures we accept in Canada only became distinct cultures because of monoculturalism.

I am descendant of Latinos, and I do not agree with this administration has caused. I met someone in a Walmart parking lot from Venezuela. He had been here in Atlanta for 10 days and didn’t know anyone. He told me he came to the US because Biden promised all Venezuelans asylum and therefore be legalized in the US. So I genuinely asked him how his country was, and he said that things were very difficult; not being able to afford basic things, so then I said “well, I’m sure that is the result of the presidents decisions, most precisely socialism/communism,” I thought he was going to agree and he said “no, our president and former president had good ideas and plans.” My point is that all of these people coming from Venezuelan are fleeing their country because of the negative situation that sadly is taking place in their country, however their mindsets have been corrupted by thinking they deserve to have “free” things. The UK is pretty much like Canada, now. There is only room for the 5% who are rich (the capitalists & rentiers) and the 35% of people on Benefits (the 35% of population who live off welfare paid for by the State using the hard-working tax payer's money). The honest, hard-working middle-class (about 50 to 60% of society) are absolutely screwed and doomed, because all they can now do is keep working their guts out till they drop dead, and never hope to have a decent life. The culture of state-funded Welfare has now gotten so bad that I now live in a street where some 30% of the people who live off Welfare have been given State funded houses, and those houses which are bigger and better than mine (all paid for using my tax money). And I have slogged my entire life (I am 65 now) to pay off a large mortgage on a house that eventually has lower value than the houses that people on Welfare are given on the same Street! Worse still, now that I am approaching the stage where I might need to go into a Care Home, my house (which I worked for my entire life to attain) will have to be sold off to pay for my Care Home costs. While my neighbours who never worked a single day in their life (and whose life was subsidized using my tax money) will again get free state-funded Care Home facility too! It utterly beggars belief. \n\nWhen state-funded Welfare gets to a point that doing an honest day's work actually penalizes you, because all you are doing is funding the lifestyles of the other half of society who wish to sponge off State Welfare (due to the high taxes the Government is forced to impose on the working middle-class to support the 35% on State benefits), then that society can never prosper, firstly because it removes the motivation to work hard, and secondly because some day the Government will run out of money to continuing funding the lavish lifestyles of people on State Welfare. And that is very much now the state of affairs in countries like Canada, the UK, and much of EU. It is an unsustainable model. \n\nBy contrast, in countries like the US, China, India, etc. there is a much greater correlation between hard work and reward. Choosing to not go to work and sponging off Governmental welfare is simply not an option. And that is precisely why countries like these will continue to prosper in the coming years - because they have some form of Meritocracy. Unfortunately, I think countries like the UK, Canada, and most western EU countries are looking at a downward spiral, and there are no easy solutions, because their Welfare model has already created these huge segments of society which depend on it and will not allow it to be demolished - but the day is fast approaching where they will all soon run out of money to continue funding it (most of these countries are already facing huge Debt-GDP ratios, and there is no conceivable way of them coming out of it).
