He lived in the US for 10 years but couldn't learn English.. at 3 years old I spoke my mom married an Ontarian and i was bilingual by 5...

What, did he think he would be given a free ride? Does he actually think immigrating to a new country wasn't going to cost him anything? How many years did he live in the US? And now, in Canada for the last 10+ months, yet he can't speak a fucking word of English? \n\nNow he complains that the process is taking too long, yet, had he immigrated legally (as he should have), it would have taken FAR longer and would have to spend that time inside his home country...\n\nI really don't get his attitude, he feels as though he's entitled to immigrate to the US, even though he made absolutely no effort in doing so legally, made absolutely no effort into learning the most widely spoken language on Earth, so he became a criminal by illegally crossing the border and living in the US for years... Then, when he's about to get busted and deported back to his home country, he pulls the exact same thing, illegally crosses the border into Canada, taking the money he's stolen from the US with him, while STILL unable to speak either official languages in Canada where speaking Spanish is about as useful as a condom in a lesbian orgy, nor making any effort into actually learning said languages, and tries to claim refugee status? Refugee status for what? He's not fleeing any war or conflict, the only thing he's fleeing is deportation to his home country from the US because he crossed the border into the US and lived there ILLEGALLY, he's a fucking criminal... And yet, he STILL feels he's entitled to cross the border into Canada and thinks they'll welcome him with open arms...\n\nWhere do these people get the idea that they have the RIGHT to just enter whatever country they wish without having to go through the immigration process? These processes are there for a reason, we don't allow just anyone to immigrate here...\n\nImmigrating to the US is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... Immigrating to Canada is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... \n\nThe fact that this guy and his family have entered 2 countries ILLEGALLY and stayed within its borders ILLEGALLY for all this time, and in both cases, REFUSED to learn the language, and when he was about to be deported back, he fled and kept hiding from immigration officers... That makes him and his family CRIMINALS, and rightfully so... They should be found immediately, arrested and subsequently deported back to the US to face whatever charges, and then deported back to his home country... Period...

Have I got this right? He has been an illegal in US for 10 years then because he felt unsafe with Trumps changes he uprooted his family and tried to stay in Canada. Yet he speaks to his family in Spanish?? Why?? If his kids were born in the US their first language should be English and he should have learned it by now too. No attempt whatsoever to integrate and become American. I can't feel any sympathy for him

My cousin got a good lawyer after almost 30 years of being here temporary. I wish I could get his information to give him the name of a lawyer whose not a scammer. She heard about her lawyer from a church she went to. He needs to meet people and someone will lead him to a good one. Part at 6:00 reminds me of my dad when he's giving us lectures lol.

To answer your WHY THE PENALTY TAX, it has only been that way the last few years, the idea if UNIVERSAL HEATH poisoned the USA. I dunno why ppl thinks Canada is easier than US... they accept you at the moment you cross the border, but the changes of staying are really slim. Don't come with high expectations. Do your homework first. It took me 10 years, tons of time and thousands of dollars to finally get my PR. I know for a fact is not easy.

15 years in the US and he apparently does not speak English.  And now, in Canada, he skips on a legal proceeding.  I'd say this fellow is not a top-shelf candidate for citizenship in either country.  He has demonstrated his unwillingness to assimilate (learn some English) and to abide by fundamental laws.

Unlike his extended illegal stay in the US, he went through the proper legal process in Canada and was rejected. Then skipped a meeting with officials and moved his family and by doing so, cheated the system, thus expending his illegal stay.\nWhy am I supposed to feel sorry for him? This might be similar, but a little different. I've been language profiled before, just for speaking my mother tongue. I'm bilingual, english is a second language to me but welsh is my first and primary language. Also, it is the same religion which does not permit women to vote, does not treat women as 'full witnessess'...It means that a testimony of two women is considered equivalent to that of one man.... is this equality and fair treatment of women? Rubbish. \n\nMany religions have lot of such stupid stuff and all have changed with modern times and these guys are clutching hard to 1400 year old illogical traditions. Being a Muslim woman must be very sad, in countries where Islam is the main religion they can't choose how to dress, they can't choose to have a career, they can chose who to marry, they can't choose their religion, and Islam also endorse husband to beat his wife if necessary. To the women who wear the niqab: do you really think that God is so stupid to judge you by what you wear??? Blacks arent the problem in canada as much as it is in the US. There was no KKK here. The people that do deserve the knowledge is the Aboriginals.
