Canadian Government's discriminatory actions towards the Chinese who were brought over to Canada to build their national railways in 1881-1884 and this graph proves this fact !\n1885-1900: 0485-4107 The Chinese Immigration Act invokes a $50 head tax on Chinese immigrants (equivalent to $1,576 in 2021)\n1900-1923 4107-38133 The Head Tax was increased to $500 (equivalent to $16,200 in 2021) equivalent to a two-year salary of an immigrant worker at that time !\n1923-1947 38133-29955 The Chinese Exclusion Act

Canada is full time to end immigration until infrastructure can keep up!

Don't go to Canada. It's a waste of time. Lots of people are fleeing.

Srilankan Tamils (only) more than 500 000 population living in Canada but citizens only 200 000

If you look at food bank lines, too, a LOT of them are students from other places. I understand that people want to come to Canada, but sadly we don't have the resources to support ourselves, much less any other people.

I understand this is an economics channel, but saying that NO ONE wants to live in Canada because of 3 issues with the economy that most developed countries in the world are dealing w/ is kinda stupid (It's almost like most of the world is in a recession.?) A lot of this data is straight-up wrong or twisted in a way as to be really misleading. The whole video is just full of inconsistencies and is overall extremely critical of Canada to the point of making it sound like a terrible place to live. You could probably find 3 random issues with every single country in the world to make a video about, there's nothing about Canada that makes it as bad as he seems to be trying to make it out to be.

From a very small country, the Philippines has made it to top 3 in this diaspora is unbelievable! I made it to Canada in 2003 ?

I like visiting the US, but don't want to move there. I like the people however cities are not safe. My cousin told me that his small town had 110 murders (WV) . I had just visited Montreal. They have 4.5 million people and had 28 murders that year and were complaining that it's getting crazy. We live longer than Americans and deaths at birth are less. If I had to move to the US, I'd buy a gun. In Canada, to protect my home, I just put on the outside light and lock the door. However, I usually forget to lock the door when I go to bed.

You can thank Trudeau for this Canada is so overpopulated with immigrants. I see it everywhere now more than ever and I’m a little worried.

This guy fu Canada \nAnd worst thing is, it won’t change

Canada is just a pale copy of the USA. The only difference is that they still worship the British monarchy while the Unitedstatians got rid of it

I'm a Japanese born & raised in Toronto, and used to love Canada. Now I'm seriously thinking of moving to Japan - a country that protects itself from migrants, and even over-tourism recently. I don't mind diversity, but not willing to live in Little India, nor listen to people preaching their Muslim/Islamic faith every day ???

I swear to god most of the vote Trudeau received are from Indian. And now canada is not canada anymore

Close the doors on India NOW! Canada has lost its identity

*shrugs* Canadian here. No interest in leaving, especially to the US of all places.\n\nI mean think that through. My income tax is around 17% of my income. My capital gains on investments is around 15%. I get free health care (which while obviously not free - is paid out of my taxes, yet isn't rationed or in-network restrictions, doesn't have copays and cover 90% of my medical needs). I have a government that even at its worst, is orders of magnitude more rational and public serving than the US (and god help you if Trump gets back in). Not to mention a country that doesn't literally have a major gun violence/mass shooting even EVERY FRICKING WEEK, unlike the US.\n\nAnd yes, I live in Metro Van and I have an 850 sq ft two bedroom apt I'm renting for $1250/mo - so maybe the problem isn't simply that the housing market is too tight (which it is), but that you've picked a city in high demand that's boxed in on four sides - ocean to the west, mountains to the north, US border to the south and what little farmland the lower mainland can sustain to the east. You could, of course, move elsewhere in Canada like Edmonton or Calgary, but yeah...not whiny enough, I guess.\n\nSorry, you're entitled to you views of course, but I can't help thinking most of your problems are self-inflicted... so yeah, move to the States.\n\nI'm SURE it'll work out better for you....

Only Khalistani supporters would love to live in Canada.
2024-05-09 0
Pretence is next level. You lot ruined a beautiful country! Besides, did Canada force or request you to migrate? Unbelievable!
2024-05-09 0
Canada has become a totalitarian dictatorship. Honestly, the USA isn’t too much better. The white people need to do something before it’s too late
2024-05-09 0
I wanna live here. I just can't afford to. I'm 38 and live with my mum, which is also due to my health but i have lived alone many times. my whole disability cheque would not cover a one bedroom and it's very hard to find a studio, they're all taken. Trudeau isn't the problem. he's a symptom. these problems are happening all over the world. the corporations are grinding people to dust in every country, so that we can log forests and fill landfills, medicate people so they can be Functional enough to create value for a company. any Canada is great, but it, and the world as a whole, at the moment, kid of suck.

Canada: Overblown, overpriced, over oppressive, and overrated. What we see here in Canada is mirrored to one degree or another in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

I can't believe my poor third world country is doing a little bit better than Canada
2024-05-08 4
Did the White Canadians adopt Native American culture and language when they moved to Canada??
2024-05-08 2
Man, I found living in Canada much cheaper than a few other places, and with higher literacy rates, less mass shootings, a better quality of life, and less violent crime than the states, Canada is a haven. But then again, I suppose if you compare it to Pennsylvania, it probably seems ridiculous.

No one wants to live in Canada? We have increasing immigration which is contributing to a housing crisis, because everyone wants to live in Canada!
2024-05-08 1
At the end of the day. It comes down to the individual. Learn new skills, use those skills to sell for money. Working 9-5, 40-60 hours a week only can bring so much. Can't fix the system? Move into a market that benefits you. That's why there's 1 million immigrants in Canada. Most Canadian's are wealthy compared to the immigrants in their own country. \n\nThere's a say: those who choose to be stagnate will result in failure. Those who choose to involved will continue to succeed. The world changing. \n\nLearn to adapt or will be left behind. \n\nHumans are greedy. Learn the game or be left out and suffer.

Still always said in the Uk if there’s a war in Europe we’ll all move to Canada or Australia and most people I speak to agree still

canada SUCKS

We are Canadian and our entire family is dispersing to other locations in the world. Somehow (insane) realtors got it in their head =s that Toronto was like NYC, when in fact Toronto was growing w/ immegrants but was NOTHING like NYC. Those greedy nut balls raised the prices of homes 10 x over within a few years and now many Canadians are living in tents. If you want to live well, don't move to Canada. You'll live and DIE working. Period. No enjoyment.
2024-05-07 0
this isnt just a toronto its all of CANADA !!
2024-05-07 0
8:49 That chart seems to be gas consumption, not price. Gas prices are much lower compared to the UK, people just drive less there and therefore lower consumption against income than Canada
2024-05-07 0
Ahh, finally! Something negative about Canada!
2024-05-07 5
If no one wants to live in CANADA, why is still so many people coming?!!
2024-05-07 0
Ok so Canada is a real estate haven.

Christi phobia seems clearly the largest problem in Canada . How about Palestine or the middle East to emigrate ?? You seem from your video that “ a lot of families in Canada “ does not apply to you ? So how about The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ? I wish you the best in a country that you find more welcoming to your visibility ..as future growing family ‼️??

This is actually such a cesspool of misinformation. It's comical, another case of the right message with the wrong information.\n\n7% of Canadians moving to America each year LOL! The country would collapse at that rate. The entire video is skewed towards Vancouver as the entirety of Canada and does nothing to talk about interest rates. \n\nSome parts of Canada such as Calgary is extremely affordable. I just purchased a home at 26 and there is no way I could rent it out at a profit even if I wanted to, so no rent gouging is not the problem people would make you believe.
2024-05-06 0
Lol No one wants to live in Canada? Ask the 1M new recent immigrants why they decided to move to Canada. 1 MILLION!!!!
2024-05-06 0
India is ruining Canada, just look at Brampton Ontario. Highest insurance rates in the country, rising violence, mega car thefts, DUI charges, and sucking our Heath system dry. Before anyone comments on this, just stating the FACTS! Either way I don't GAFF what anyone says.
2024-05-06 0
In conversations about immigration, Canada always talk about Indians. And Chinese but never about Filipinos when they make up a huge chunk. Why is that? ?
2024-05-06 0
Short answer: Canada is the USA’s bitch, that simple!
2024-05-06 0
Thanks very much for sharing this list. You hit all the major points why immigrants are leaving Canada. There are also Canadian-born citizens leaving Canada. Me and my family just moved from Canada to El Salvador last year. Why did we leave? One word - wokeism. We were afraid for our children! This ideology is very dangerous for our youth. They're being indoctrinated and supported in public schools to pump themselves with hormones and mutilate their bodies with surgery to change genders. It was so scary to us that we high-tailed it out of there! Not to mention the government tyranny. Many people still dont see it but many have now woken up to the reality that our government is moving away from democracy towards socialism, and we believe eventually towards totalitarianism. Don't get me wrong, socialism and collectivism in general can work well for societies if the government has the people's best interests in mind - but in a corporatocracy, that is NOT the case.

Honest neutral review. She said both the pros and cons about liliving in USA or Canada. However, you don’t need a car if you go to NY or Toronto. If you live in any other cities and living in suburbs you must need a car.

I'm born in the UK to Serbian parents, but grown up in Norway so I've seen three different cultures in my life all at once. I always liked Canada for being diverse because then I wouldn't have to switch between being English, Serbian or Norwegian, I could be more me because I am basically multicultural. For years I've idealised Canada and it wasn't until just two weeks ago that I got to visit and see for myself what Canada is like. I was in Toronto and also in Vancouver visiting a family that moved there from the UK I hadn't seen since I was a kid. I loved the nature (Especially Vancouver my god!) and the people, but I learned about how extremely expensive housing in Canada is to the point that it would be hard to make ends meet just renting a place let alone buying a house. Also how immigration is out of control and those who do come to Canada are disproportionately from one country being India rather than many different, which is not good for maintaining diversity. This is something I saw having lived most of my two weeks in Mississauga just south of the airport.\n\nI hope you guys finally get someone better in the next election, because I have more hopes for Canada than I do for the UK. Thanks for this informative video!

Canada has untouched Natural Resources and could be the Richest Country in the World if it had a Government that would Get Out Of The Way.
2024-05-04 0
Pumping more immigrants means the house price is rising. Its a logical-basic economy thing. And Canada suck in weather already.
2024-05-04 0
Toronto is absolutely not the homeless capital of Canada lmao, try Vancovuer its a much more visible problem there
2024-05-04 0
I think you missed one key important cause of all this, and one the liberal's biggest policy failures: unfettered immigration. Everyone on r/canada knows and talks about this. It's why housing is becoming more unaffordable, and why wages have stagnated. Canada can't support this huge influx of immigrants.
