Although, Old Toronto is actively being destroyed because of new zoning laws. In Europe, new developments are built for less money, yet Canadian ones are cheaper with houses practically being made out of cardboard. Europe also invests in cities with reliable public transit and are much safer to walk and cycle in without huge roads and highways everywhere. This allows for much denser housing and affordable communities. Canada is being eaten by Capitalism and pretending to be a Socialist government, the worst of both worlds.

I was just saying to a friend recently Indians have degraded the standards of everything, including the banks, the food industry, and everything they can put their hands on. Cibc and Scotiabank used to be open on the weekends now you can't even go there to do businesses all becuase they have degraded the standards of the banks ihop food is way below standards the only things they are doing right is building decent houses. Everything in this video is 100% true, I have been living in Vancouver since 2016. Medical is not free it comes with a cost that is time, friend of mine needs heart surgery and has been put on wait list. The part i hate the most is these drugees are given drugs and support from government from my taxes, I work hard to earn money and dont do drugs but someone else is given it for free.

They should adopt our culture! That lady said it all! I’m an immigrant in Canada myself, been here for almost three years. I always tell my wife and kid “we’re the outlanders, we MUST adapt to the local culture and customs!” I put soccer aside and started learning about hockey, I started listening to Canadian rock bands (great, btw), I read two biographies about Terry Fox, Arctic expeditions, geography, etc. Despite my wife still getting along mostly with people from our mother country, I refuse to be part of these clans!

The amount of delivery / courier / truck drivers that, when they arrive at my workplace, can't (or won't) speak English is unreal. When no one speaks their language they get on the phone and put someone who can on speaker. Eats up a lot of extra time especially when they're not even at the correct address, yet somehow are rude and get angry insisting they are. They all immigrate to PEI because it is the quickest way to seek citizenship in the country, as soon as they gain it they move to Ontario. I have met many wonderful people from India through work and because of our government choosing to allow so many people over here without providing proper housing for not only the new immigrants, but also for our own native born citizens, there is nothing available at any decent price for young people like myself who want to move out from their parents homes. It's also causing a lot of people to be racist towards Indians when the fault truly lies in our government. And because we are allowing so many people over here without proper background checks and things such as that we are also allowing people over here that could pose a threat to women or others. I had a cab driver last week (who was from India) who tried to hit on me and told me he left India because he was getting into too many physical fights over in India and also told me he had gotten into physical fights with some of his customers as well. It was scary for me as a woman to be in a car with that man who was taking me to my home. The government needs to do better for us. We feel alone and ignored when it comes to this. The greed pushing this stupid, and not properly thought out, immigration policy needs to be put to an end so that the people who have lived here their whole lives can get a chance at life.

Canada has always been a peaceful, prosperous, progressive and a good governance oriented nation. In the recent decade, too much of woke, radical left wing ideology has penetrated into policy and public institutions that have led to Canada’s current day crisis. \n\n2. This country has always welcomed talented immigrants who are willing to integrate with the Canadian society, embrace its values, traditions and culture. However, in the last 10 years, too many refugees and reckless mass immigration has put an incredible pressure on the economy, infrastructure and social cohesion. \n\n3. The political leadership has allowed reckless mass immigration without caring to boost the economy/infrastructure to handle the volume and hence the sorry state of affairs. \n\n4. Too many immigration consultants of Indian origin engage in outright VISA frauds (yes, this is unfortunately true) leading to ppl coming in as a tourist and then seeking asylum or converting their visa into a student visa (55 year olds from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat coming here as students).\n\n5. A significant chunk of people coming from India (esp. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat) seeking a permanent residency in Canada are using student visas as a back door to claim eligibility for PR/citizenship. This is downright abusive and was never intended to be used like this. This has fueled a fake college diploma industry into Canada where “2-room” colleges have sprung up along the highways giving out fake diplomas and certifications for easy cash. Thus, the students, the immigration consultants and the fake diploma issuing colleges are all getting benefited from this scam. Unlike the past, the recent batch of immigrants in the last 3 years or so, make no effort at all to integrate into Canadian society and abuse the system, create law and order problem, drive recklessly, talk loudly in public spaces, litter everywhere, cross railway tracks like they do in India, steal liquor from stores, shamelessly collect food from food banks (as a way to save on groceries) that are meant for the elderly, disabled or those that are in utter poverty. It wasn’t like this ever before. In cities like Mississauga, Brampton and Surrey, the Khalistan movement + gangs involved in theft, drugs and human trafficking are from Punjab/Haryana and they have mushroomed here like crazy. A good 30-40% criminals in prison or on bail in these cities are of India ethnicity. \n\nIt is behaviours like these by Indians in the recent few years that has thoroughly infuriated native Canadians and now they hate the rest of us that have lived here peacefully and have been good citizens. This is insane! This is because they never intended to return to India in the first place and were abusing the system as a back door entry. They are threatening to go on hunger strikes and what not. Legally, on a student visa, they are NOT allowed to participate in any sort of activism. \n\nNOBODY that comes to our country on a temporary visa (student, tourist etc.) has the right to dictate terms to us and demand that we change our immigration policies based on their preferences. No, that will not happen. \n\nCanada, like every country, has the sole right and privilege to decide who gets to become a permanent resident or a citizen based on our national priorities and strategic interests. Im a 10 gen canadian. Have a skilled trade under my belt. They say theres a shortage. But i can't get a job. Applying for jobs all across canada still nothing. But it seems these immigrants can just walk straight into these job no experience or training. Ive even gone back to school. Struggle with the writting side of the courses. But the people who dont understand a word of english pass with 90's. So i know have 2 degrees and on the job experience with a skilled trade. And still cant even get an interview after putting out hundreds of resumes. But the walk in and get hired on the spot. Not fair at all

I have been in Canada since 2014, and I have seen drastic changes in the country.\nBut I see you guys talk about protest in the first part of the video, but you did not really tell why they are protesting. \nA lot of students are protesting because they either want free education or they want the universities to make the exams easier for them.\nStudents are being deported because they got to Canada through a fake letter of acceptance. There is no bizarre reason for their deportation.\nStudents are not getting PR because the programs get full. It's not all students. I'm a born and raised Canadian, and jobs that I was previously able to live off of 2 years ago I am now on the brink of homelessness every single month of rent. Working those same jobs everyday in the lowest rent apartment I can find. I do 10 hour shifts most days retail and spending more than 50 dollars a month on food bounces my rent and negatives my account which makes me pay more fees on top of it. I cant afford a car, or anything for transportation. The wage I'm making now was the perfect amount for me 2 years ago to live comfortably by my standards. Now I'm going to be a homeless 24 year old Canadian that works their ass off every day and can't seem to find a better paying job regardless of how much I put myself out there... In the last 2 months I have lost a total of 16lbs because I can only eat so much on my budget. I am a hard working Canadian that just wants the luxury of being able to not stress about these things because I work so hard. But that seems to not matter.

I live in Calgary with a spouse and two kids and what most people would consider successful and it is nothing what I would have expected. We are mid 30s with a high household income and still struggle. We are self made (no family help) and between the house, kids, and insanely high living costs (think food, taxes, insurance, transportation...ect) we just get by. We struggle and then I think of the families making the average income and it blows my mind. I don't know how all the parents out there do it. This country is broken. Housing is insane, every industry is dominated by one or two corporations putting the screws to everyone making the cost of living unsustainable, and the government taxes you into the ground...how long can it really last

Vancouver real-estate is essentially a money laundering operation for rich foreigners looking to stash their money somewhere. Protections were put in place a little to late back in 2016 with the foreign buyers tax. But honestly most of these foreigners can either be exempt from this tax with their citizenship loop hole (anchor baby) Or honestly they just pay the fine since they can afford it and just need to get their money out of the country they are coming from. Its quite dystopian because building more homes like the government keeps promising isn't going to solve the problem either. This is because its just going to add more to the volume of housing that the foreigners can buy up from the locals and adding more fuel to the problem. Immigrations Canada is lying to new comers. To top it off, BC just recently passed a law in 2024 where you can no longer build single family residences in the lower mainland area. WHERE are the families going to go then? Can anyone even afford a family anymore? Vancouverites like myself who were diligent and saved every penny are walking away from mortgages in droves because who wants to lock into a 30 year term amortization period where at rate plus prime your looking at 5.5%-7% where the bank makes more than double in interest from you. Over the course of 30 years you still lose because even if your property appreciates past double. Capital Gains will take into effect. Your loosing money no matter what! It truly is a nightmare designed to enslave you financially. This is simply wealth creation suicide. Came from immigrant parents in the 1990s, I slaved for 10 years during my twenties, didn't come from wealth, didn't party, didn't have fun, studied hard, and started a business and I still cant break into the Vancouver market. So I ended up just barely squeaking into the market in Abbotsford. Vancouverites as a whole are screwed. Time to pack up and move to Alberta I suppose. I will also preface by saying that most of BC is empty and that it would make sense to built outside of the Vancouver area as Vancouver has now basically become fiscally unlivable. Send all the illegal immigrants back where they came from. Those that want to stay need to apply for legal immigration, must be properly vetted, pledge allegiance to Canada, become Canadian, leaving hatred from their previous country behind, and cannot stay here while they wait. A moratorium on all new applications for at least 10 years. This way the back log of legal immigrants can be dealt with. Stop all new international students, put a moratorium on it for at least 10 years, stop all temporary and permanent workers. All loopholes used to illegally get into the county must be stopped. This will reduce the cost of illegal immigration and solve a large portion of the lack of housing. No more government subsidies to pay for foreign workers. This will open up entry level jobs for young Canadians. No more government subsidies for anything for immigrants. If they need government support then no, you are then disqualified from coming. No more abuse of our Canadian social programs.

I'm an immigrant child from well educated Parent from the Brain Drain era of immigrants from the 1970's. These immigrants from the last 20 years have a different mentality especially when they're not very well educated. Too many immigrants put a strain on the social and economic fabric of Canada.
