The Canadian government, including its departments and agencies responsible for immigration and citizenship, appears to lack empathy for individuals who immigrate to Canada in pursuit of their dreams and a better life. It is incomprehensible that the immigration department takes more than two to three years to process applications for permanent residency or citizenship. Instead of addressing the delays, they offer excuses such as the impact of Covid-19 or conflicts like the one in Ukraine. Meanwhile, applicants endure significant mental stress and hardship during this prolonged waiting period, unable to secure suitable employment or pursue education. Government officials seem indifferent to these struggles, leaving individuals feeling helpless and frustrated. The situation feels dire, with no avenue for recourse or resolution.

You mean to say all the nations in the world must accomodate and give up their education and jobs so that every indian gets education and livelihood... If an average nuclear family unit has 4 members all the family members should receive education degree and jobs... The rest of the world can go to dogs... Indians don't care... Arbitrary immigration targets are simultaneously increasing demand and suppressing wage growth. There are better ways to control immigration. I would suggest demand based approach with some guard rails in place. For instance, I would require all educational institutions to provide housing for international student (at least 50%). Businesses should be required to provide accommodation to all temporary/seasonal workers on top of the minimum wage. In order to hire foreigners employers should be required to prove that they are paying enough to afford housing in the region (market cost of accommodation is less than 30% of salary). Accommodation for refugees should be secured before bringing them to the country from around the globe. No accommodation = no permits. It would limit demand and prevent wage suppression.

I think the best place for you is to co e to dubai. Best best of all for islamic way, way of living is good not very expensive, kids education both English and islamic is good and also u can go to do umrah or hajj from here is very very easy. Unchecked influx of unskilled, unvetted, and uneducated immigrants is driving out skilled, educated, and vetted immigrants. Right now is probably the worst time to come here. With global recession and post-pandemic hardship, everyone is feeling the pinch. Small businesses are closing down as they could not repay back the relief loans given by the government during the pandemic. Trudeau’s policy of immigration through the educational stream and admitting so many refugees from Syria and Ukraine have caused massive rent increase - too many people chasing after lower real estate supply. Because people are feeling the pinch, crimes are up and homelessness has become a serious issue. But, here are the (long-term) advantages of living here, vs. The Philippines:\n- free healthcare - no matter how rich you are back home, wealth can be depleted if a major illness strikes;\n- free education for your kids up to highschool and opportunity for your kids to enter worldclass universities after highschool;\n- government programs that actually work - Worker rights are upheld, doleouts when you lose your job, 12-month mat/paternity leave, doleout/govt match when you save for yr kid’s university educ, tax rebates for whatever you save for retirement, retirement income even if you never held a job, infrastructures are maintained, transparency and stability of political system; \n- safer environment - yes, greater crimes lately, but still one of the safest places to live. I live in greater Toronto, and sometimes we forget to lock our door at night or leave a bicycle outside and nothing happens;\n- commitment to the environment - the country adheres to protecting the envt. You can drink water from the faucet. Strict laws on recycling and waste disposal. Greenbelt protection on forest and conservation park areas, even in the cities. Canada also has the world’s biggest water supply...in today’s global climate change, were decades away from water wars;\n- a beautiful country with friendly, humble and relaxed people who observe work-life balance

Canada needs Austrian social housing programs doesn't make sense to kick out educated hardworking people they're exactly the type of immigrants you want

International students coming to Canada should budget properly for tuition fees, housing and living expenses. There are too many stories of destitute international students living under a bridge or using the local food banks for subsistence.\n\n\nCanada should not be granting student visas unless they can demonstrate financial means to afford their education. Many international students come here and work part-time to partially subsidize their education. \n\nIt is not fair for Canada to help subsidize international students.

People from all over Canada are moving to Alberta , Calgary in particular. The cost of living is less than Ontario, Quebec and BC. The proximity to the mountains is great. Calgary is a beautiful city with great neighborhood’s and parks. The technology sector is attracting a large number of companys to Calgary because of the reasons above but also because the work force is one of the youngest and most educated,mainly because of the training for the oil and gas sector. Being just over an hour from one of the most beautiful national parks in the world doesn’t hurt. Banff National park. Also with access to many summer vacation spots in south and central BC. All these things make Calgary a great place to live. Alberta also has many other cities and towns worth checking out. With a competent and caring provincial leader in Danielle Smith, Alberta’s future is looking bright.

As an Irishman who moved to Canada 4 years ago I can tell you the country is in a shocking state, zombies on every street corner, violent crimes outta control, even my wife who is English was attacked while riding the train to work one morning by a random homeless person of Asian descent telling her to go home and abusing her with racial slurs, on top of this the prices of everything has shot up enormously from rent to your average grocery shop, woke culture is forced upon everywhere to the point I feel like I’m being controlled on my world views… both me and my wife are educated and have good jobs yet we just about keep our heads above water in a two bedroom flat in Calgary

Canada is a crock of shit. Even before the Liberals ruined it, and even before they threw Christianity and the Lord out of school here, governments exercised their insatiable greed to spend and hob nob internationally like celebrities, Trudeau being the worst. The education system made no sense and served only to divide the intelligent and the less intelligent, never actually producing intelligent people but simply to go through the rigors of separating them. The Corporate greed in this country is astounding. The rich really get rich off the depravity of the rest of the people. The gap between the rich and poor now is terrifying. We allowed cowards for politicians and the LGBTQ rights lobbyists to separate us from Jesus who is God and then from our prosperity because the Word of God condemns them together. Canada is a veritable hellhole with no future. Do not come here without millions of dollars or be prepared to lose everything you brought with you from your native country.

I remember back in 2015 when I got my PR under Canadian PhD stream. There was a motivation to bring in and keep well-educated people and post graduates from Canadian Universities. Guess what? This program is cancelled!

The climate is harsh, the education is just ordinary and doesn't empower one to compete at a global scale!\nLast but not the least immigration in mass by one community is destroying racial amity!

Canada has never been easy, but it was the easiest path for unskilled, lowly educated Indian workers from rural areas to be able to migrate abroad, as they don't have a shot at legal pathways in the US or other EU countries. Of course unskilled workers will have a hard time here, as they would anywhere else. Tamper your expectations and know your capabilities.

My Serbian family came to Canada as refugees in the Balkan civil war of the 1990's. Canada gave us a new life and new opportunities that we were grateful for. Now my younger brother and myself, both highly educated and with graduate level degrees, are barely making ends meet. We are both in our late 30's, and are still renting over-priced apartments with little prospect of owning our own homes . At times, over the last few years, the idea of moving back to the Balkans has crossed both of our minds.

Many of these immigrants obtained their desired education, obtained a Canadian passport as backup security and then they’re moving on to what they view/perceive as better financial prospects elsewhere. Many immigrants arrive pregnant , have their children here in Canada and the child receives a Canadian passport. They’ve also reached the minimum number of years to become eligible for government OAS. \nStop all whining and complaining! These new immigrants who have contributed absolutely nothing to the infrastructure hospitals, schools, bridges, roads, highways….are complaining! Bloody hell!

Too many people, not enough jobs and not enough housing. Govt and the education sector need your money but they don't really care what you have to do to give them their money.

This is TRUE. It's just a TRAP. They are using greener pasture scam of study first. I myself have applied and have already wasted almost $11,000 just for the application since 2013 with IELTS of 8.0. I have taken multiple IELTS since it always expires every 2 years. And I havent heard anything from Canada. Then came the pandami and I don't have any monetary funds at all. I don't have any intention of continuing my application as Canada just squeezed out the money out of me. I could have just used that money to help other people. I'll just be staying in my country so my country could be a lot prosperous than a country who uses education just to SCAM expats.

No surprise.Canadian universities and colleges have, for years, unethically binged on a huge volume of foreign students who pay exorbitant foreign student fees in the hopes of gaining fast tracked immigration. They did this under the blind guise of pro diversity, pro immigration, politics. Canadians who suggested there was a problem were branded as intolerant and silenced. Meanwhile foreign students were being exploited as low cost minimum wage labour by business, packed into overpriced rental housing by exploitative landlords, and milked for huge tuition fees by educational institutions who engaged in unethical recruiting practices.

The main reason that Canada is bringing in half a million migrants and hundreds of thousands of students is to keep the property prices high. If they slow down intake of migration and international students property prices will crash and with it the Canadian economy. Canada earns billions in migration fees, education fees and of course cheap labor like cleaners, carers, and taxi drives, jobs that canadian-born residents will not do. \nMost students are financed by their Mum and Dad Bank, lived a sheltered life with maids and drivers but with no skills, so they go overseas, and forced to do menial jobs to survive. Back home the family will be looking for a rich partner.

You have to see what happened around the world,without going too far , the USA have a big problem with homelessness, 100 times more than Canada , obviously Canada is only 10% of the American population, our system in the hospital are treated in accordance to the grade of injuries the more severe are look after before your broken arm, over someone hurt in a car accident , so the attention goes to the more serious issues, but still you get care regardless how long you been waiting , unlike the USA sent you home if you don’t have health insurance,credit card , or cash to look after your problem , they will direct you to the emergency were you can wait for hours behind dozens of people waiting to see a doctor, some people had died waiting to see a doctor, our system is not perfect but nobody will let you died because you have no insurance ,money , or credit card , \nWhy people are leaving the country , is because the cost of living has skyrocketing to the point of no return , if you can only work to pay your rent and eat poorly, but with no possibility to save for the future it’s a wasting time to stick around ,and the people coming to Canada will find our system is not perfect and the image of Canada is tannish , but only people with highly educated will find they pathway to a high standards of living if you can make over 90.000 dollars and 180.000 for working couples in high demand

Educated people with college degrees from other nations can't work right away in their profession because they require canadian experience and bla bla bla. The cost of living is very high, they tax you for breathing, small job market overall. Canada needs to be more flexible in professionals with experience in their fields. They are not looking to be working in fast food chains or anything like that having experience. Canada is a hard place to start from zero knowing the reasons above.

I met a immigrant worker the other day. Educated, well spoken, but she was working security. She told me at one point 'I came here to get ahead, now I struggle to live a basic life.'. People used to come here to opportunity. Now they come to struggle less than they did in their own country.

The U.S. is the ultimate planned destination for the immigrants going to Canada these days and the Canadian citizens with good education and training. Canada is easy to get in because Canada needs the immigrants money but the U.S. is where the real money and opportunities are!
