The current government only cares about their personal bank accounts; they want to destroy true Americans. Trump is not a true American; he is Putin's pet and will follow everything Putin wants. The people who follow Trump are his criminal gang, to fulfill Trump's dream that he is some great gangster. He is not a gangster, he's a con man, lying piece of crap. True Americans are disgusted at the very thought of him; we can't stand to see his face, hear his voice, or hear his name. The American people have made their choice. Now the rest of the world will make theirs. Electing Trump the first time was a mistake. Electing him again was catastrophically foolish.

This is about more than the fentanyl. This is about Canada not pulling their own weight when it comes to defensive spending, this is about getting them to allow Us manufacturered cars into their markets, this is about convincing Canadian companies to build factories in the US… etc Trumps tariffs are creating hundreds of billions, soon to be trillions of dollars worth of investments into our market. We hold the largest market in the world. We hold the power here, not Canada. And bitching about relations with our allies isn’t going to sway conservative voters come the next election. When we win this “trade war” something tells me CNN will whine about how we won it instead of giving credit to the current administration for doing better by our citizens.

I voted blue and moved from a red state over to a blue state because I don't agree with conservative republican views. I especially didn't want Trump back in office because I thought he was horrible the first time. My heart sunk after the election because I saw this coming. I'm hoping for some sort of impeachment because dealing with Trump for 4 more years seems unfathomable.

This has nothing to do with Canada or the Canadian people. This is a pure transactional move because that is how Trump sees things. He needs the money to finance his agenda and he has been told that the money does not exist in terms of what the US Congress can provide. They won't cut military spending and they wouldn't dare touch SS or Medicare. For me it seems Trump is creating conditions for some sort of a military action against neighbors, probably in time around next presidential elections, and for domestic political reasons.
