It sucks for Canada.. there is a double whammy here.\n\nThe best immigrants are then leaving Canada - leaving behind the ones who came with no intention of acquiring proper training and education and just wanted a way into Canada for social security and benefits. \n\nI am talking about Khalistanis, Hamas Supporters, Indian students who were too dumb and poor to get admission to Indian colleges, and economic refugees who left their country to reap the benefits of free healthcare and social benefits. \n\nSo, in total, we are losing most of the best immigrants and left behind with those who are NOT going to help Canada grow - instead, they will take up a more significant chunk of Free Healthcare, EI and other social security benefits that we all pay our ARMS and LEGS for. \n\nI blame this all on Trudeau. Under his leadership - anything he has touched has only gone bad. He is like a Cancer for Canada.

Attitudes towards immigration in Canada are rapidly changing as we struggle with an affordability crises. Immigrants aren't the only ones that notice lower prices and higher salaries to the south. Canadians too are also questioning why we have ratcheted immigration levels so high when thet serves to push housing up and wages down.

Lmao immigrants aren’t the only ones leaving. Me and my wife are both skilled workers in Sustainable Energy and Cardiology. We both want to leave the country for New Zealand to be specific.

I don't blame immigrants for leaving - they are making logical decisions based on the costs of being here exceeding the benefits. Ultimately, this will be damaging as we will lose the immigrants with skills that can contribute to society. The ones that stay will be the unskilled, non-contributors that don't have options.

The sad part of this is that it's the immigrants that we want that are dragging up and leaving, the ones with degrees in medical and engineering. The ones with skilled trades and abilities. \n But sadly all we will get to stay are the dregs of society that came here looking for a free ride and hands out! The ones who've spent time and money and effort to improve themselves and better their lives will always be the last to count, Eco-immigrants and freeloaders who've jumped the border while ditching their passports and real banking info just to get a $1000 a week free taxpayer funded handout and free cell phones and housing and access to our social assistant network , will never leave unless you run them out of the country.

So misleading! Why not also point out the income of the immigrants that are leaving and those that stay. The ones that are leaving are the one that actually contribute to our economy/society who can afford to simply pack up and leave. The ones who stay are using Canadas social systems without contributing enough to compensate their usage of taxpayer resources. By stats Canadas own data they use no less than 4 social services to get by (which does not include healthcare or education resources).

Americans are in the crapper. Many of us live on the streets. We need to be more like Japan as to border policy, and treat us first. I don’t know why it’s a big deal, many other countries have the same border policy. America isn’t inconsiderate for having them, it’s just the government already doesn’t help us live. They already take our money and force us on streets. If more immigrants came in, none of us would have a home. Economy would skyrocket greatly but in the wrong ways. More crime because I’m sure there are immigrants who really need help, but among them are also the ones who don’t follow laws. Which is why we have legal immigration, to weed out the criminals from people who need salvation.

Y’all complaining bout taking care of our homeless first before them, uhhh for one, our government doesn’t do shit for illegals except send them back. Two, when’s the last time u ever seen a homeless immigrant? Them mfers work their asses off and pay for everything. If anything they are good for economy. Way I see it is we keep them and send all our homeless back to Mexico and South America in place of the ones who work so they don’t end up like the bums on the street. The hipocresy of American politics is just too much, on one hand they will give you the idea of resolving the border issue, on the other some work to get money in their pockets by cartels and other criminal organizations worldwide like isis, and on the other killing the economy by not making the illegal immigrants work like Florida. Some of your points are great - some are regional - housing issues are definitely a problem in some cities - Toronto and Vancouver are ridiculous- Calgary at the moment has tight inventory- landlord issues really depend on where you live. Taxes are due April 30th not the 1st. It can be difficult to get hired in your trained profession as an immigrant for the reasons you’ve shared. Our company consists of about 80 percent new immigrants, but we need people with Canadian work experience on their resume. It is costly training - and firing is something we DON’T want to do. So we need good references to hopefully avoid that issue. You were very fortunate to get a Dr so quickly. Again the specialist referral issue truly is more about your Dr than the system. A lousy Dr won’t refer patients because they don’t have the contacts. It’s more complicated than you’ve shared. I have had no problems with referrals because I’ve had good Drs. New Drs will have a harder time and unfortunately those are the ones taking new patients- hopefully those issues change as they get established.

I have nothing against immigrants it’s the fact the ones who do come here legally are offended when they have to go through a whole bureaucratic process and illegals come here get free stuff by the left for votes. It’s hard to revolt on your government when it’s ran by the cartels

The United States is starting to get over populated cause a lot of people are coming from other countries. Instead of coming to USA focus on your country work on it instead of running away from it. There is hardly any upward mobility in blue collar jobs, ever more so in the labor market. If they are not making $40K/year (assuming the majority has not a college degree in something marketable, advanced skills, a tradesman or artisan) then they’re struggling like everyone else in the service industry. Jobs for teenagers, entry level workers, part time jobseekers like for students, people needing extra income cause it’s so expensive in CA, NY, Austin, TX, Chicago or SF living off work entry-level service jobs. Technology has created a shortage or labor gap between unskilled jobs. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? Gonna grant asylum cause their lives are in danger from a government firing squad or because Biden/Harris will pat you on the back? \n\nThere is reason to illegally enter this country and it is disrespectful, disgraceful, dishonorable, dishonest and disheartening to the ones who are here legally by going through the process like everyone else paying time and money. Even Christopher Columbus paid to be here, no one handed him a free ticket to ‘paradise.’ The Mayflower patrons weren’t met with resistance by the indigenous community, they were harmonious. If there was a border in Maryland at Plymouth Rock, I am sure the Puritans would stop there first to get their passports stamped. Man , it's about time. Has anyone else noticed that a majority of crimes in Canada over the last couple of years , have been committed by people who have unpronounceable names , and darker complexions. To me , they are obviously immigrants and possibly ones who walked into Canada unvetted and disappeared who knows where. We only need skilled immigrants who enter Canada the proper way. The USA are a secured country, anyone trying to flee it through that illegal passage should not be considered as refugees, but as immigrants who are trying to get in illegaly. This is unrespectful to all those who are applying to come to Canada but are refused (for other reasons than serious ones). I know that no human being is illegal and everyone deserve protection, security and happiness, but come on, what danger are they fleeing from the USA?

There is supposedly an agreement between Canada and the US called the Safe Third Country Agreement which means illegal immigrants are supposed to apply for asylum in the first country they come to. Unfortunately, because of Trump, the Canadian government doesn't trust any US government to give these asylum seekers a fair hearing. Second, this agreement only applies to official border crossings, not unofficial ones like Roxham Road. Trudeau is absolutely right in wanting to renegotiate the Safe Third Country Agreement.

Most immigrants are hard working but you got the odd Few makes it bad for everybody else Especially the ones are coming now

I just want point out the income and hate crime stats don’t necessarily prove any racism, a lot of immigrants end up making less money as there is already a lot of competition in the industry already and companies prefer experience in Canada itself, and the hate crime stats don’t prove much either as there will always be some racist people anywhere (and they are rarely race to their home country) so obviously the biggest minorities (the ones on the chart) will be more prone to hate crimes basically regardless of the amount of racism or the location\n (I’m not defending racism just pointing out facts)

First off Canada is not a systemically racist country I’m white I’m also poor and I’ve lived here all my life nearly everyone excluding the native population in a immigrant or a descendant of a immigrant my mom is Portuguese and I also have black family members we are no more racist than anyone else in any other country. Hey this is the first video I watched and wanted to say this. Canada DOES NOT have some systemic racism. Please do not be a clueless liberal.\n1. The income difference based on skin color is based on level of education and jobs chosen, NOT some skin color. This is why if you break down the income difference based on the countries of origin, black immigrants from countries with high education levels such as ones from Nigeria have a higher average income compared to the rest of the population, even though their skin is as dark as any black person. \n2. I suggest you visit Richmond BC, Surrey BC, or Vancouver Downtown, so many successful Asian and brown people there. In fact, white people are moving to suburbs since asian immigrants are buying up expensive realestate in big cities like Vancouver and Toronto. Still RaCiSM? \n3. Whites (especially white males) are the only group in Canada that can be openly discriminated against in hiring and school applications, as diversity quotas require a minimal number of women and non-whites to be chosen, over whites (and men)who may meet the criteria. Everyone needs to be treated equally, and solely based on their abilities and qualifications. \n\nAnyone with a half a brain can see that it is better to be a non-white person in Canada right now than other way around. And I am an Asian myself saying this.

Canada is graduating more doctors now than ever before. The problem is that the good ones leave for better salary and opportunities. What we're left with are the crappy doctors who could not land a job in the private sector if their lives depended on it. Hence the results of our present system. The thing I don't understand is that you have citizens who have been living here for generations, fought and died in wars to protect our prosperity, paid taxes, etc but yet an immigrant will get a GP before them. Here in Quebec you will also be discriminated against when seeking healthcare if you are not white and French speaking. So don't come here if you don't fall under that demographic. They stopped investing in affordable housing. Removing sentiments, home is where your heart (loved ones) are and where you find peace. People who have found peace in Canada should not be shamed to think they have to move back sometime or the other.\nAlso, it shouldn't be a question for recent immigrants who have not perfected their stay yet. I know it won’t be easy but, Toronto has a lot of resources for immigrants and even undocumented immigrants. I worked for a shelter and although it was the only one that takes undocumented families, you learn there are resources out there. \nIt’s about aligning yourself with the right community support Center, finding the people who will fight for you. There are so many people here who welcome and want to help all types of immigrants. No matter your background.\nThe people who work helping these communities they are ruthless in their fight for citizenship, or at least finding you a job and home, they will guide you through the system. Social workers, ones in community resource centres, not government centres, will be your best friend. They know where the red tape is and the resources available to you. \nYou could even go to a specific shelter to t all out your options and where you could go to get help.\nI understand this is not ideal. \nBut, if you want to be here, your best friends are non-profits, finding a center that aligns with your story, your background, because they will fight for you. We have people here from every country and resource centres geared towards your own language, religion etc.\nAnother big way to set yourself up for success. Churches, rich churches to be specific. \nMy mom works in a very rich church and it helps them feel better about themselves helping people, you could be nice enough to alleviate their guilt through their wallets, and connections. Under the table work, shelter, space for your family, set you up, they might even have the lawyers you need pro Bono in those rich churches. Church shopping, do not be above it if you don’t have resources. You don’t just get help, you build a community and support system through a common bond, the church. \nI know these aren’t revolutionary tips, but without specifics of your background it’s hard (for me specifically) to give specific advice online as to what services could be provided for you.\nIt’s kind of like a doctors appointment. You need background info to diagnose the resources for you and how to access that help.

I am a dark skinned Indian living in Germany. Trust me, the most racist ones here are immigrants from Arabia, Africa and East Europe. My experiences with them are a real horror. Germans are far more nicer and classier people. Its unfair that whites alone get blamed for racism as if other ethnicities are innocent

I learned several years ago during a time of unemployment that our EI centers are not for us, they are for immigrants. Not one service was for me, but if I was an immigrant, the entire world opens up including lots of financial support, they will even help you open a business. Yet we are the ones paying into it.

Yea, but the immigrant ( all races) kids get far better grades in school, and that generation pays 30% tax every year of their 100k salary... They're the ones that gonna take this country into next century of technologically advanced world. Issue with economy starts with the family. If you have single parent family and social issues.. kids aren't gonna make it in this highly competitive world. Solution is to use these people and figure out how they will help this county in the next 30 years, not tomorrow. Look at how Irish, Ukrainian, Chinese, Italian etc.. came as first gen immigrants (to this native land). Cold.. lost.. try to use their wits to survive in a colonial economy. That second generation built what we have now. Immigration is a god damn economical strategy man... Issue with homelessness, has nothing to do with immigration. Homelessness is related to addiction and mental health. Most immigrants don't suffer from homelessness because they have relatives that look after each other. 3rd generation+ Canadians (all races) lack that.. if you're 18 you are own your own, thats where that issue is with homelessness.

As a Canadian screw Trudeau . I'm ashamed to call him my prime minister. At least his dad gave us the bill of rights and freedoms which is a historic document...
