Too many in already, the question is how many are actually helping Canada grow or just squatting or causing headaches for locals? Have they started deporting undesirables? In Australia. Australia is not too far behind. Housing crisis.. extremely expensive. In Sydney we can’t afford even a studio. 5 ppl Sharing a house. Pay for every food delivery anywhere between 2 to 5 AUD. Any dish you order is minimum 18 AUD so a dinner for 2 is at least 40 AUD even at places like McDonald’s. Groceries are monopolised and they charge very high.. even 3 days of groceries will cost you between 50 to 80. And forget healthcare. It’s so expensive that we pray we don’t fall sick. The doctors too don’t give you real advise. Just prescribe tests blindly without analysing ur symptoms. In India if you find a good doctor, they will save u from getting too many tests. Ppl are depressed and are suffering from many mental illnesses. No sense of community. The only reason why we are here is to save up as much as we can. We are struggling, living in shared apartments in a small room.. we came here with a job without any money spent from our end and the only Reason it works is cz we are saving up for India and when we send money to family it’s cheaper due to currency exchange. We cannot afford the same lifestyle as India with our whole family here.

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. It's interesting to see what will happen if I post a neutral comment here. \n\n\nUndoubtedly, Germany is not a paradise on Earth, just like any other place. There are both pros and cons. Sometimes I felt like I was reading comments about a completely different country when people wrote about not being accepted by society and so on, so I decided to respond too.\n\n\nI barely speak German (my second language is English) and I have never felt any racism or disrespect towards me. Whether it was on the street or at work. I more often met friendly people who were interested in learning about my move to Germany and were always admiring and saying words of support. This cannot be faked, these things were real. \n\n\nOf course, you will experience a lot of stress when visiting the foreigners' department, as many things are unfamiliar to you and you don't have enough language skills at first.\n\n\nOf course, I would like to get paid more for my work, or at least pay less taxes. Yes, child money support exists, but it's more of a formality as it barely covers the costs of raising children. This is where I would really like to see improvements.\n\n\n\nPeople, including immigrants, cannot understand that by increasing the demand for housing, they are increasing its cost. You can't blame the country itself for this. The law of supply and demand works here.\n\n\nThose who write about their plans to move to Australia or the USA, don't forget to share your relocation experience after. When you face the same or even bigger relocation problems. \n\n\nYou are right in one thing - there is no paradise on Earth, and you have to work. It’s exactly the same in Australia, and has been getting progressively worse under both left and right leaning governments. The conservative government was a disaster for housing/cost of living and the liberals haven’t been much better. The vast majority of elected legislators here are relatively wealthy landlords with substantial investment property portfolios. It’s not in their interests to fix the housing crisis. They also vote themselves huge salaries and regular pay rises. They are relatively immune to the cost of living crisis. Australian food banks and similar charities are overwhelmed. We have two main supermarket chains, Coles & Woolworths. They both perpetuate rampant price gouging with abandon. Big corporations, especially international ones, pay very little to no tax. This is happening all over the world under governments of every stripe.

Besides housing, cost of living, etc, my main thorn with the newer refugees AND immigrants are that they refuse to assimilate. No one is telling you to discard your religion or culture. But something as simple as fishing with a permit (instead of taking your entire clan to go empty out a river whenever you like in disregard to size/amount/seasonal regulations), waiting for people to dismount from a bus or train BEFORE you push your way into it, not trashing the entire downtown core every single night way into the early morning with loud music while people are trying to sleep, actually learning the language and not giving an attitude when someone gently tells you that their order is wrong, and so on. \n\nMany cultures and generations before you have done it and are embraced for their differences. You're not an exception just because you paid $10,000 to come here and feel the entire country owes you for it.

Wow the entitlement is mind-boggling. If that is the attitude that people have coming here on a temporary Visa. 33 years ago I had a temporary work reason to work in the UK I worked six days a week paid rent paid bills and we built a business that hired other people and put money back into the economy. I can’t imagine being out in the streets protesting it to the UK government that I haven’t been pretty to the privileges of people that were born and bred in the country and were there before me in Ontario we definitely do not have housing available. The cost of housing for a room is $1000 a month outside of the city, basement apartment is 2000 and Condo, one bedroom and den is about 3000. I’m not sure what jobs students are expecting when employment is not at all-time high and the healthcare system is already strained and failing people that need vital surgeries. Seniors are waiting three months for an MRI and students that were born here are having trouble finding employment because entry jobs are given to immigrants we are approaching UK and Ireland crisis levels, it’s not about racism. We don’t have the infrastructure.

No wonder i ve seen in the recent yrs..many westerners move over to South East Asia eg. Malaysia... a reasonably clean good infrastructures but more affordable cost of living n a fairly reasonable tax system to everyone.. Malaysia is definitely a pleasant Happy multi etchnics multi cultural living together harmoniously.. most command fairly good English... with vast n diverse melting pots of delicious cuisines.. ..why not go n check it out for yourself sister???

All of our troubles in Canada is due to very excessive immigration. Every single aspect of housing, education and healthcare could not absorb this unsustainable population growth. And llok at it, immigrants are not willing to give any money to income tax but they want the service sithout paying for it. That’s not the way it works. I’m a GenX and I bought my house for cheap in the 80’s. Now taht it’s paid off my cost of living is the price of housing taxes so about 300$ a month for a recent suburban house valued at 850k$. It is almost impossible for immigrants to buy a house like that. That’s why we not only need less immigrants but we have to make existing immigrants to leave Canada. We are not the dream country they hoped for mainly because of them. Leave.

My parents came to Canada around 1990, and I was born here in Canada. I support immigration but not at the cost to both Canadians and immigrants. Letting in immigrants without a cap is reckless and lead to consequences we face today. Now I believe we need to reduce the number of immigrants, temporary foreign workers and international students until our infrastructure can support Canadians and newcomers.

Letting everything happen right under our noses for past 2 decades, and then saying Oh there was a mistake we need to set things right is not a mature way of handling these educated people, most of whom have Masters degrees under their belts. Why so much hate for educated people, we have land, resources and so many towns which needs people with different skills. Train them free of cost and use them for the betterment of the country, why so much love for only refugees and people who come here illegally and without proper credentials, and not for someone who have submitted 100 documents during visa processing....

Sorry to hear you’re leaving Canada….I haven’t been watching your vids lately but will catch up. As someone born and raised in Toronto, I love being in Canada. I’m proud to be Canadian. Unfortunately, I am sad to say that we have been going so downhill ever since Trudeau and his gang of idiots came in AND the pandemic. It’s not really easy to maintain your finances here anymore, so many people are struggling in this country. You can’t really afford anything today, it’s so sad. I’m unhappy with what has been happening to our country and the state we’re in. As you said, problems have arisen and continue to plague this country, from crime, cost of living, homeless crisis and quality of life.\n\nIf other of my fellow Canadians are leaving this “great” country, that’s their choice. But I am staying here and going to deal with its problems. I love this country with all my heart, and I don’t think I would move anywhere to a different country. Yes anyone that moves out of here is your choice but….there’s no other great country in the world than here. I’m staying here and I think that’s a good thing. One little advice, please take a shower, every where this people smells really bad, if you are here in Canada at least be clean don't throw garbage in the streets, educate yourself, its the same people everywhere with this smelly odor of your sweat its disgusting, its not complicated if you can aford to buy an iphone or a luxury car or even a house, then you can go to shower water is free and soap cost 1-2 $ also brush your teeths, its not an myth that here in canada didnt care about how you smell its common sense

If Canadians genuinely cared about all people, they would seek to prevent the misleading promises made by the Liberal and NDP governments. Many immigrants were promised a prosperous country but have instead encountered challenges such as a housing crisis, rising cost of living, opioid addiction and homelessness issues, inflation, healthcare strains, high unemployment, high taxes, and a declining standard of living. \n \nNotably, Canada is technically in a recession, and without the influx of money brought in by immigrants, the country's economic struggles would be more apparent. The economy appears healthier on paper due to foreign investment and spending, but underlying issues persist. While immigration has significantly impacted Canada in multiple ways, the responsibility lies not with the immigrants who were overpromised, but with the Liberal and NDP governments that have underdelivered. Frankly why has Canada allowed in SO MANY people from a few specific countries under the pretense of studying if the gvt knows so well that is not what many if not most intend to do in the first place? Great video. Thank you! My experience was a bit quite different when I arrived there in 2007. I did have support in bureaucracy and German skills. My university gave me almost free courses and scholarship payed full time courses with living cost included. I did have the luck to meet good Germans friends that helped me and made me feel included. After some years, when I wanted to pursuit a natural career path is when I found difficulties. Being promoted more than senior engineer, a manager positions or a Professor position were out of my reach because of me being different. My earnings aspirations soon reached a limit and then decided to leave to California. I have full respect and love for Germany, but there I was not able to be what I wanted to be. Now I have achieved more abroad. However, I still miss some things from my life there.

This is what happens when you dont have variety of foreign workers and you dont consider the culture. If you bring a million from one rural part of a specific country, they will gang up and make demands and the Punjab are famous for this even in India. Please do not let anyone on a study visa with an IELTS score below 7 in each of the sections, also test the students at the border on behavior and other Psychology related issues. This will ensure proper candidates are allowed, who know English and can speak it comfortably. Also train the existing students on skills required to contribute to Canadian labor market that too free of cost, this is due to lack of proper course curriculum required for the labor needs of Canada and practical training availability. Immigration is not just a money making machine, there has to be a vision and proper planning before brining in millions of immigrants who will eventually settle here, but their productivity and integration should bring long term benefits to the economy as is expected from a great nation like Canada.

Most of Germans are really good people and friendly nothing against them but Germany itself is not immigrant friendly racism is pretty much on the rise ,low wages , little or no opportunities, my wife handles international clients and she says German client s are the worst in behavior they sound rude and entitled. If I'm a skilled person and want to move to Germany first and foremost you need to learn most difficult language in world and master it nothings wrong there but why would I when I could just go with English and move to other English speaking countries which offers more opportunities or atleast learn french that would be even more beneficial. If you want to attract international talent first atleast create an atmosphere for them but really sorry to say these but Germany feels hostile towards immigrants. The problem is simple. If its an issue of cost of living, while its true that it is very high, its very high across the industrialized world. That is because the causes influencing cost of living are not related to inside Canada but are being influenced by foreign actors which Canada has no control over. The Ukraine-Russia War for example is causing increases to food costs which are not easily overcome. The situation in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel threatens to spiral into a regional war and that threatens the oil supply and the present price for oil and gas. The Houthi have been making it hard to traverse the Red Sea which is forcing shipping to travel around Africa rather than directly through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea meaning those additional fuel costs get transferred over to the consumer. As for housing, while efforts to cool housing markets have been made, Canada's housing market is still relatively hot meaning the prices remain high in big cities. Its like a perfect storm. Increased costs on mortgages are an attempt to push down inflation but in the short term you are going to feel that as well. Also we are living in a transition period as the world sinks back to the older model of trade before before Bretton Woods in 1947 which is leading to a decoupling of product lines that at one time coming from Asia were cheap but are not more expensive because they are being made back in the home countries. Transitions do come with a price. Finally, add taxes which help to deal with health care, social programs and government services like embassies, foreign missions and the army well yeah its a perfect storm.\n\nI hope you have luck where you end up but do not for a minute assume that the grass is greener on the other side. Even Japan which attempts to keep certain costs low, has been forced to increase its national consumption taxes to offset overall costs. It isn't going to get cheaper but more expensive as we move back to the old trade model. However, as the world weans itself off of the World Trade Organization and the IMF, the world also re-opens the potential to a Great Depression because that was the reason Bretton Woods appeared in the first place. The world isn't going to get better but far worse.

If the government decides to cut down on immigration, we'd have to address the issue of declining birth rate and drop in productivity as a nation. Manufacturing jobs are either underpaid or outsourced to developing nations due to globalization. In order to get a decent job, we are now staying in school longer than ever. for instance, as an aging society, we need immigrants to be our nurses, and doctors which drastically improve our standards of living.
