I have close friendships with many trump supporters and they all embrace war for this country. They all support Donald in his greed and obsessive behavior. Americans are generally bad people. Canadians need not have pity on us. We brought this on ourselves

Hi, American citizen here. Please know that half of us are so, so embarrassed to be part of the United States and to have Trump as our president. I cannot put into words how upsetting it is to know that so many people elected him a second time.

This is insanity. We've allowed an insane person to run our country. A mass number of Americans are simply wrong headed regarding what matters. This and many other moves will only make us weaker and poorer.

Please know that many Americans don’t agree with these tariffs placed on Canada either, that Canada has always been a good neighbor, always will be. These are sad and dangerous times for many US citizens with this present administration wreaking havoc on our beloved country.

This is absolutely the worst the USA Canada relationship has been. I lived in the US during Bush2.0 and have many American friends. This isn't personal (unless you continue to support Trump).

Indians have used Canada like a flop house. Indians go to diploma mills and try to use it as a backdoor to stay in Canada. They take over Canadian communities and try to turn them into India - making the locals feel like foreigners in their own home. They're also involved in a lot of crime. This includes: auto theft rings, synthetic ID/credit fraud, gun and drug smuggling, and one of the largest gold heists in Canadian history at Toronto Pearson airport. Americans have stated that the top nationality entering the US illegally from Canada is Indian. The drugs they are complaining about entering the US from Canada are almost entirely brought in by Indian truck drivers (Google it and find many examples). A Fentanyl super lab in BC capable of producing over 95 million lethal doses that was busted was run by an Indian. This is now threatening trade with our main trade partner as a trade war has just started. ENOUGH ALREADY! Indians need to be sent home, and banned from entering Canada.

Canada has many problems and disadvantages which will need to be determinedly addressed in the coming years. However, we have one key advantage over our friends to the south, and one I hope that over time this will increasingly bear fruit: we are not governed by a fascist-adjacent government. Our only political party with policies resembling the American Republicans is polling in the low single digits.\n\nSetting aside the question of whether American Republicans are 'fascist-adjacent', the truth is that much of the world perceives it as such. Our economy is so tied to the US that I would not wish them ill, or at least not very much. I'm an Australian traveller who went on a solo trip around the US in 2023. I couldn't afford a hotel room in New York so I opted for a Hostel. The hostel I stayed at had many Latinos and upon speaking to them, they were living there for free in exchange for cleaning, reception work, etc. It shocked me that businesses were happy about this exchange of paying wages to actual Americans

I know for transgender people who in Asian Cultures and Native American know about the souls. Other religions don't punish or discriminate. No human being is perfect. I think the problem with many US attitudes is they have been brainwashed that they are the BEST in the world. Many have not travelled outside their country and still think that….based on what? I almost moved to the US with my parents when I was a kid but was crying because I didn’t want to go. I am so glad that we didn’t move there. We don’t want to go there for many reasons, free healthcare, a good education system because we pay our teachers well and have good quality teachers, we don’t carry guns and don’t want them, thereby our streets are safer. However, America has provided Canada with favorable trading relations and high-cost subsidies in the form of military and territorial security for decades. That clearly was a slap in the face and wasn't very smart! You had to figure some American president would ultimately say enough!\n\nAmerica has supported, defended, and offset the national defense costs of European nations for over seventy years, while EU countries and their leaders have routinely mocked and ridiculed Americans. Is it really classy to slap the face of someone who protects and supports you and your quality of life? No, it's not! Tariffs on EU products are likely coming soon, and reduced defensive support for Europe means they will have to pay more taxes for their defense and goods.
