All these countries need to get their sh** together , we already have millions of homeless people here already. We can only let in so many people while our own citizens struggle. I don’t think the USA is the best country in the world but its still a good country & find it Ironic how much people talk bad about us but then flock here by the thousands

Wow. I know I'll be sharing this vid with my irish friends in a few hours. This illistrates well how incredibly brainwashed you bunch are. Ive lived up here all my life, but did live there a few months, at which time my suspicion was proved correct: the only significant difference between US & Canada is that the US citizens have been conditioned from birth to believe they're superior. Therefore: the US is superior.\nHow many media follow-ups have we all heard: I can't believe this happened in our quiet little town/suburb-? Oh, hell no! And further to that, if I was visiting the US and got sick enough that I might need a hospital, I would do my damnedest to get back to Canada. I have heard Americans say that the healthcare is very good, as long as you have money. But I don’t trust it because Americans have been brainwashed to believe that the US is exceptional in every way (sorry guys, but it’s extremely obvious to the rest of the world), yet I have heard too many stories about things like people picking up C. Diff or other drug-resistant infections in hospitals there.\n\nI spent about two weeks in the hospital in February. You know what it cost me? Absolutely nothing. Well, I did have to pay for taking an ambulance later. But the hospital stay itself cost me nothing. Neither did the food they fed me in there, or the medication they gave me.\n\nMayyyybe if you guys got universal health care (it shouldn’t be tied to your job), and stopped shooting each other so much. You definitely have some better weather. Oh, and if you all toned down the religion a bit. Annnd stopped trying to play world police while simultaneously bombing other countries into oblivion to steal their resources. That’s been going on for far too long, and I don’t think the average American citizen even realizes it.

Yes, American citizens need to be taken care of first before we let any more people into the country, but let's keep thinking about this... Why are so many people trying to escape Venezuela? Could it possibly be the cripplingly sanctions the US has imposed on Venezuela for decades? There is no better example of how sanctions don't work and only make the population of the country suffer and not the leaders. Why are people trying to leave Mexico, which is a country where guns are 100% illegal? If you guessed violence from the drug cartels being one of the main reasons, good job. Now, why do drug cartels in Mexico even exist? To supply the gigantic appetite that Americans have. Where are the cartels getting their guns from? Once again the answer is Mexico. If you are someone saying Mexico needs to fix itself, just remember that they have the one of the worst neighbors ever. We have no problem giving Israel $3 billion every year and sending our military all over the world to bring democracy to people who never wanted it, but our neighbors to the south? Fuck em. War on drugs? Lol. That's a war America doesn't really want to win.

I have a skilled trade, a job waiting and a sponsor. I declined because I do not want to live in the US. Yes, I have many friends south of the border and enjoy any cheap items. But overall, the lifestyle does not suit me.\nWhy does a US citizen assume that their nations is the place everyone wants to move to?\nIn Canada I have everything I desire, and more than can be offered in the US.

The US simply lacks openness. Women’s rights, the LGBTQ rights, immigration, firearms, law enforcement; so many subjects which American and Canadian citizens think very differently. And it’s true that we can find cities who shares the same values as us, but I don’t want to be part of an increasingly conservative country. ?\nAnd for the good part of the US, there are trips! ?✈️?

Shut the border PLEASE!!! Our own people need help i.e OUR VETERANS!!!!!! These people want to get in for the wrong reasons - they know they'll get everything free unlike immigrants that have come in the past and not expected anything from here except the opportunity to work. Here in NYC they get money, cell phones, free housing, free food, free food - we the citizens are paying for this and many of us get nothing free.

I've worked with a lot of people who have moved to the US for work. It's a very compatible place for Canadians to go. The culture is very similar. People move for work pretty seamlessly. I lot of older canadians go to the southern US for 6 months a year for the weather but maintain their canadian citizenship for he medical coverage. \n\nThe COVID mess where twice as many US citizens per capita died compared to Canadians was a bit of a downer. Watching how poorly the political system seems to be to deal with all the real world problems that are out there. \n\nThat 73,000,000 voted for a self admitted scammster and criminal for President is troubling. \n\nThe Gun mess also tends to chase people off. \n\nThe American people seem to be desperate to maintain their freedom to kill each other. I think you have been desensitized to the mass shootings in the US. They occur in good neighbourhoods like Parkland which is close to where my sister lives. My sister has lived in Florida for 38years and is an American citizen but she wants to move back to Canada. It won’t be easy for her because she has developed very strong friendships in Florida, but really doesn’t like living there anymore. As for me, I say hell no, I would never move to the US. There are many parts of the US I would like to visit, but I am becoming more and more frightened to travel in the states.

I was a dual US/Canadian citizen since birth (born in the US to parents of mixed citizenship) and have lived in Canada since 1982.\nI renounced my US citizenship a few months ago to be 100% Canadian. I still think the US is a great nation in many regards, but it is also *so* deeply messed up. The fact that the US's response to SCHOOL CHILDREN being shot to death in school was literally to do NOTHING was what made me decide to cut ties officially and formally.\nTo put an outdated, irrelevant, vaguely worded, and actually harmful constitutional amendment ahead of the lives of children is nothing short of evil.

Well, as a Canadian, I guess i'll pitch in.\nWould I move to the US? The short answer is no. But I will explain more in detail.\n\nFirst, I do not see any advantages to the US compared to Canada. Americams often tout their country as the beacon of freedom and the land of opportunities, but I don't feel that Canada is so different there. We're actually higher on the world freedom index, and its not like our economy was in shambles and everyone dirt poor... We pay more taxes, fine, but we also get more services in return, and that last part has the advantage to remove a big layer of worry. Like, for healthcare, I don't have to worry if i'm covered by insurance or not, or if the insurance carrier will drop me on some technicality. I'm a citizen. All the basic needs are covered; no questions asked (and the healthcare quality is not half bad. We just prioritize urgent cases over non-urgent; so if you go to the hospital for something non-urgent, you will wait, and more urgent cases will pass before you. Annoying when it happens, but I understand and agree with that in the end)\n\nSecond, I do see a lot of disadvantages. All the points raised in the video are valid, from the private-sector healthcare system, the gun control laws (or lack thereof), the social policies and legislation in some states; they don't agree with me.\n\nI think it comes down to some specific social and cultural ideas that are prevalent or at least present in a substantial manner in the american society. Bear in mind that I am generalizing here, not every american believes these points, but many do. I'm talking about ego, nationalism/patriotism, secularism etc.\nI feel that the US often has a really overinflated vision of itself. Like, the idea that America is the best. At everything. Wich is factually not true, but this idea also poisons the debate on many issues, and tends to limit social introspection that could lead to real advances.\n\nI've also noticed that the american basic school system is strongly patriotic. Everyone in the US is taught a lot about the US themselves in school, but not much about the rest of the world. Not great for open mindedness and introspection when you have little comparison points.\n\nAndlets not delve into the religious aspect. I've seen a poll somewhere where 48% of americans were AGAINST the separation of church and state. For me thats not only insane, its dangerous. It fits the individualistic mentality where people can more easily start thinking that their way is THE way. It creates a very polarized society much more prone to high volatility.\n\nSo, yeah, no, I wouldn't live in the US. I'd much rather stay in Canada where i don't have to worry if I get sick or hurt, if some agressive drunk idiot in a bar is armed, or if some fundamentalists from some religious congregation is gonna be able to try to politically force their point of view.

You're proud of your country. \n\nAs a Canadian, I always felt the difference in basic attitudes between our countries may stem from our history of gaining national independence.\n\nYou all fought tooth and nail and are still immensely proud of that accomplishment. \n\nWe negotiated over time. It stands to reason our society would develop into one more invested in peace and negotiation, and even a deeper sense of social responsibility to our fellow citizens' welfare.\n\nI know of many different reasons why I love your country, enjoy visiting, and am glad we are neighbours. But to live in the US would take a change in my deeply ingrained sense of identity that I'm not willing to give up. \n\nI think you'll find even the Americans who joke about moving to Canada woukd find it similarly difficult to change their feelings. \n\nThank you for your interesting and respectful content. It doesn't work that way for patients who are not in contact with reality.\n\nNow we add extreme drugs (crack, meth, heroine, ketamine, whatever they hand out at parties, etc) and severe cases of PTSD/PTSS. The cuts were targeted to preserve wealth for the middle and lower classes.\n\nI could go on for another 100 pages but you get the idea and I get crabby writing for free.\n\nI will leave you with the caution that it’s best if you doubt and question any data and any stats coming from our government. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? It breaks my heart to know that they are looking for a safer place to live, for a safer place for their children. But in the US they don’t understand how hard it is to make it here as an immigrant. So many US citizens themselves are homeless here. The US is ridiculously expensive, chances are that these immigrants will also end up on the street. The US is not okay right now.

There's problem through out the world and other countries is suffering as well my families came here the right way from Asia in the early 70s' we worked hard and became US citizens it's hard in the US so many homeless peoples in every states doing this isn't going to help! You got to do it the right way don't cheat those who are actually trying to come here correctly!

Many of these people have to flee their country due to death threats from cartels or numerous other organizations, others have were born into extreme poverty. These struggles are unrecognized by us 1st world Americans. It is so easy to sit in our comfy homes and protest “they need to respect our borders laws” brothers and sisters when you know what living in a corrupt 3rd would country is like living under the constant threat of criminal organizations, you Americans would also do anything possible to keep yourself and families safe, I promise the things you people say would be the last things on your mind, but 1st world citizens will never understand.

America has fought HARD for centuries to achieve freedom. We’ve shed infinite amounts of blood for the rights we have. Freedom isn’t free. It takes centuries to get to that. People think it sucks to have to spend ten years becoming a legal citizen here, well count yourself lucky that you didn’t have to shed any blood, lose any family members, fight against an oppressive enemy for your rights, or lose your house in a battle for a free country. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look up American history. Count how many battles were fought; how many wars; how many people died; how many Americans became POW’s on our own land during the Civil War. Look how hard it’s been. Look how hard it is now. We never stop fighting for what we want. Freedom takes work. America isn’t some island paradise. It never has been. We all live on the same earth. We all experience hardship. And there’s no amount of money, illegal border crossing, or anything else that can keep us from that harsh reality. In life we’re going to suffer. That’s just how it is. Stop thinking that illegally crossing a border is somehow going to solve all problems. It won’t. The grass isn’t greener on the other side just because. Bloodshed makes that grass green: Sacrifice. Hard, laborious work; and centuries of time.

I feel horrible for people dedicated their lives to becoming US citizen and all the sacrifices they made to just see something like this happen. I feel even worse for what's happening to females on this trip here.... This is wrong on so many levels

Ive been working my ass off to pay for my documents for legality, paid taxes yearly and just comply to whatever is needed for immigration. Now im a US citizen. And this people just think they can just walked in without legal papers pisses me off. Come on people we all have different struggles in life, but we have to do the right thing! Even if youre inside the US you cannot have a decent job and no company is gonna accept you if you dont have legal papers. Therefore you cannot open a bank account and you cannot build your credit and get a place to stay. Theres too many homeless here already. Just do the right thing! The govt cannot save you all.

This doesn't move me with sympathy, it moves anger in me. My family and I were homeless in the U.S. all because I decided to further my education with a school who claimed to be accredited and all this stuff but quickly found out it all was a sham....so in not securing my deposit on a new place or being financially able to fight an eviction were the property basically got paid twice for bs they didn't handle...all because the irs took my income tax which I was depending on being I just started a new job and had 3 weeks before my first paycheck...we were on the street....everywhere I turned was a wait-list and no one I mean no entity would help us..... claiming lack of funding or some proof of homelessness other than papers proving your eviction....just so many ridiculous things....it took us a while to get off the streets and this is kids born on this soil....with a citizen who never been in trouble with the law, 3.8 gpa, educated and motivated and employed.....on the street and although now we have a roof as U.S. CITIZENS still struggling to find our footing....and STILL NO HELP...NOT A FOOD STAMP NOTHING and the lights are out due to the landlord....soooo I'm not sympathetic of these people....I struggled and still struggling in MY OWN COUNTRY WITH NO HELP FROM MY COUNTRY....GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM AND FIGURE IT OUT.....

The last few mass shootings have all been immigrants .. They got here being promised they would not have to work and the us taxpayers will cover their bills.\n\nWell after they are bussed to a state , not of their choosing and dumped they realize it was all a lie . \nNot only is no one helping them but they can't find work or housing bc there is a huge shortage here ..\n\nSo they find themselves much worse off in America then they had it in their own country . It's too many people coming into the United States. Highly overcrowded. The US needs to start taking care of their own citizens first. There's homeless Americans right here that are citizens, there are hungry people right here in the US that are American citizens. They need to start helping their own first. These Americans should not be without anything. And then United States is quick to help other states before they help they own. It's really a shame. And half the people that come here from other countries don't even like Americans. There shouldn't be not one homeless American citizen in America. The country has billions and billions of dollars and they should be able to house their own citizens.

Many people who come to the US get government benefits that US born citizens are denied.

This is what gives them a bad name! We don't even have enough jobs for us citizens. Our disabled can't even get disability or help yet they will come here illegally, get jobs we could use, n get welfare, disability, n anything else they can get for free while real citizens suffer. We should arrest them all n ban everyone who tried to come in illegally from ever being able to enter. We don't need more unruly, beggar pple comi g into this country. They don't want us coming illegally into their country so USA citizens should give them a taste of their own meds. We have far to many problems of our own and allowing illegal aliens that most of them could possibly be criminals and drug dealers as well as drug carriers have been entering our country. The wall will just make them have to come up to the front door and show us who and what they want We can't help it if there country doesn't make them happy. Our country is on the brink of collapse. We don't have the money or resources to help illegal immigrants and our own citizens. We have to make sure that our borders are closed up tight for the next few years until we get our finances back in place.

This is deplorable and it’s going to destroy our country in so many ways. First, our social, educational, and criminal systems cannot absorb this many people all at once. We have enough people immigrating here legally. We don’t need all these illegals flooding over.\nThis is all Joe Biden and the Democrats’ fault, for not doing anything for two-plus years, except inviting these people to come here. These people get benefits, free healthcare, welfare probably, phones, and they shouldn’t. They should be told to go home. They should not be given a court date and then released into the United States! That’s ridiculous. They should be loaded on a C-130 transport, retrofitted with seats and shipped home. The majority of them are not going to show up for their court date. They’re going to disappear into the United States, work under the table, take jobs away from Americans, and send billions of more dollars back to their home country where they have family. I think currently, $250 billion gets sucked out of the US economy every year, due to illegal immigrants all sending $50 each, per month, home to their families in their native country. That money should be being spent here.\nLastly, all these illegals and the “anchor babies” they are going to have here, and the descendants of those babies, are all going to vote Democrat in the future, because of this lawlessness. Then we’ll have one-party rule in this country. That will destroy the country. It’ll be a socialist dictatorship, which is not good. The worst part is, many of these women coming across, are going to have a baby within a year. That baby, who by law is automatically a US citizen, becomes their key to citizenship, because once that baby turns 18, he or she can sponsor his parents to become citizens and also sponsor other family members. It’s not right. That amendment to our Constitution, was meant for descendants of slaves to become citizens, NOT to be used the way it’s being used today.\nAnd if we’re not careful we will all be speaking Spanish in the future.\n\nVOTE REPUBLICAN! I wonder how many of those are US citizens immigrating to Canada

Canada needs more immigrants. A country bigger than the US and has only 35 million people. That is the size of the population of one city in many countries. 80% of the population will be senior citizens within next 10 years. The Canadian government wants younger immigrants to come in and if it was not for the media covering these issues, the government sees Roxam Rd as a blessing.

There is no system in place or functional process. There used to be that you had an employer sponsor a foreign worker and he/ she would get a work permit and later apply for a legal residency status that would later qualify them for a 3 year residency green card that they would renew and after a time they can go for a US citizen status. That stoped when all the US factories left and tech came in. Now many, business, tech, or science and finance educated people get that option. ?

I’m Colombian and it’s sad to see people from my country lying to the authorities to get documentation. \nI know everyone wants a better life and definitely my country is not the best place for low /middle income families; however, we should understand that US or Canada have no obligations to legalize anyone. There are already so many problems to handle in their territories and with their citizens.

If Trump were in office, he'd have 20,000+ troops down there protecting our borders again. Biden just let's it happen, I can't wait for him to be out of office! An important factor as always been for me the different of murders, mugging, rapes, theft, people killed by firearms each year up to 38 000 a year in the US, add other types of weapons, and many more. In Canada we have clean water, lakes everywhere, we have so much more good timber for building, land for farming etc. The cost of health care in the US and schools can easily ruin them, their parents and families. Canada health care is mostly free for everyone, although seemed slow by many, but is it slow or are they worried to see a doctor to realize nothing is wrong with them ?? Going to see a doctor for a cold, a bad night sleep etc are not really worth a doctors time or theirs. The education system in Canada educate their citizens, watching Youtube videos about Americans being asked common questions like : Which 2 countries border the USA?? Sadly most are morons and think it is Europe and France LOL Parents and children's have a way better time when they give birth and spending time with their families ;-) You might get better pay in the US, but then you have to worry about getting shot, robbed or killed, get your car or stolen, house broken into etc. Plus add all the scammers and scams in the USA, that citizens, non citizens and politicians and city officials and even cops do, no thank you.

The fundamental problem with Canada and this also applies to many other advanced economies is that housing costs have been allowed to skyrocket.High immigration in combination with low interest rates and certain tax breaks and buyer incentives have all combined to cause this.What this means is that the average citizen is now paying too much out of their income in either rent or house repayments and this reduces spending in the rest of the economy and is a relatively wasteful use of capital so wealth creation has also declined.Australia,New Zealand the UK and Netherlands and parts of the US have also fallen into this vortex.

As a dual citizen, there are so many things that's incorrect about this video. First of all, to make it an apples to apples comparison, I see no attempt to adjust the comparison by population. There is no point comparing Montreal (where I have lived) vs. Columbus, Ohio. Montreal is roughly 1.7 million people or 4 million metro. The correct comparison would be something like Boston. Similarly, there is no point comparing Montreal vs. LA in terms of geographical spread when LA is more than three times the size. So of course your commute will be different.\n\nComparing Montreal to Boston for example, Boston is very very compact. Yes, Montreal does have better food options than Columbus or your random rural suburbs. It doesn't come even close to similarly sized American cities. It's the same reason for example that one doesn't compare San Francisco for example, against London, Ontario. It's a pointless comparison.\n\nAdditionally, the claim that the worst part of Canada is better than the best part of America is laugahble. There is no truly terrible neighborhoods in Canada compared to American ones (where you can tell if you're in a bad neighborhood), but Canadians can't even imagine the wealth and prestige of the best parts of America, let alone compare with it. The wealthiest don't live in downtown New York (where they maintain their work residence), they live in Montauk. They don't live in downtown Boston, they live in Newton or Weston. The most affluent parts of Canada like Bridle Path/Rosedale (Toronto), Westmount (Montreal) or North Vancouver would look like abject poverty by comparison.\n\nOh, let's not also forget other factors for being in the US. The median household income in Canada is $67,000 Canadian. The median for the US is $69,000 US. The typical American is far wealthier than the typical Canadian. Anybody who tried to buy any goods (or services) in Canada and compared their choices in the US, it's not remotely comparable. Of course, the usual, taxes.

Hmmmm, why has the birthrate been lack luster for so many decades. Why has born and bred Canadians living on the streets, no home. Why are kids failing in schools and college students are brain washed. Why does Canada need so many more immigrants, when the government can not take care of our citizens.
