I was born in USA but this man speaks 100% truth. \n\nI feel afraid, lonely , depressed in California. People are mean, rude, cold, violent. So lonely people don't talk to nobody only to fight. Too much drugs. \n\nI'm visiting my parents in Mexico and I like Mexico better. People are very friendly there is crime but not too much. Nice to see you shed light on this unique issue of the west. I am from India and my parents came to visit me in the U.S and felt that isolation. In India there is a lot of online ordering but because of all the little shops and street food it's fun going out. Then we have so many people so that is another reason we have all sorts of reasons we are out. Yes it really helps to make that human contact. However people can still have depression even in our countries. Thankyou for doing this video.

Not sure how Ontario made it to #4. Here's a realistic description: Unaffordable, ugly, boring, overcrowded, very stressful, you need to work 80 hours a week to afford your $8000.00 mortgage or rent, worst restaurants, clubs, shopping and entertainment, crime is shooting through the roof, a developers dream so little urban or suburban green space. Yes, anything in northern Ontario is nice but it's quickly all becoming a hot mess. People are nasty, really really nasty and only care about their own lives, cars and houses...one huge competition to the finish line here. We just bought our retirement house in NB because we decided there is no way we want to retire in Ontario!

This is my true story of a horrific experience that happened to me on renting apartments in Montreal, i had to look for a new apartment to rent due to having to leave my apartment i was at due to fire damages that was caused by another tentant in apartment complex,anyhow i soon there after found a new apartment,this new apartment was renting for $1100.00 it had just been renovated and really nice and clean,however my horrific experience was just about to get much worse,just at the time the covid19 outbreak came around i was settling into my new apartment and really happy i had found a new place,so i thought...i soon began feeling very sick in this apartment and i kept trying to figure out why i was feeling this way,well to cut my true story short,i found out after 5 months and becoming really sick that there were drug dealers who had set up a meth lab in an apartment agent to my mine and the fumes from cooking there meth drug had been seeping into my apartment getting me very sick, still today i have lingering horriffic symptoms do to this meth poisoning, i have seen doctors and explained to them about my bad experience,i have persistance symptoms of lung problems, sinuses and bad headackes which start in this place,i found out the chemical these drug dealers were using to cook this meth was called Ether which is a mix of sulfuric acid and alcohol along with other very toxic dangerous chemicals,however the Ether chemical mix has a very sweet smell not a bad smell which is very deceiving to the sense of smell leaving you thinking how wounderful the air smells around,if you`ve rented you know there are all kinds of smells around,however it was to late by then ,how i found out it was a meth lab is a long story,i had been poisoned really bad but just as bad as getting sick is that when there is meth contamination that seeps into apartments,everything becomes contaminated,i mean everything,from cloths to furniture,tv bed,the smallest objects everything,i couldn`t take anything with me due to meth residue contamination,meth lab spores are really bad,they will linger in everything for years continue making one sick and very hard to wash or get rid of,i had to dispose of everything i had,thousands of dollars lost,all my belongings,it was horrible so horrible,the land lord had no idea this was going on in his building only later to know,also from what i have found out is that these dangerous meth lab apartments are common,i rent from a friend now and will never again rent from others,i still am sick with long lasting bad symptoms fearing for my health ,so i say Renter beware.

Just fyi, Ontario is the biggest province in terms of population size and not Quebec, and by far. However, Montreal (Quebec biggest city) is indeed one of the best city in Canada because of it's different cultural/shows events that are happening almost all year long, and it's very diverse as well. Also, in the western part of Montreal it wouldn't be a problem for a unilingual anglophone to live there because everyone is bilingual or unilingual English. Quebec city is also the oldest city in North America, a very nice place to visit and only 250 km from Montreal. If one is working in the financial sector however Toronto remains the real option in my opinion, but his way more expensive and so, so boring compared to Montreal.

What was the point of this…\nBOOK?\n\nMy favourite provinces (not ranking) are Ontario, Alberta, BC, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. \n\nOntario for the history, the world records, *(longest street on earth at least at one point, tallest tower in North America, Toronto most multicultural city, etc.)* and the terrain/coolness of Ontario- the big cities, surprisingly safe, the good weather some places, the icy terrain near Hudson Bay, and pretty nice forests.\n\nAlberta for the coolness aswell, the big cities Calgary and Edmonton are pretty great, and the mountains are awesome, the oil is useful, the lakes are great- and yeah the great, safe place to live overall.\n\nBC for the amazing mountains too, the islands, Vancouver is SO amazing just seeing a picture of it, its unique that a big city is spread across so many islands, and the pacific- \n? oh I do like to be beside the sea side ? \nAnd BC has great forests like Ontario. Just- take in mind that it’s the only province with grizzly bears. (Alberta might idk)\n\nQuebec for the history, (all the history is in Quebec City)\nAnd the great terrain, it looks amazing- they have a lot of Great Lakes (wait Ontario has more, in fact all of those) and even just it’s one big city, Montreal. For the biggest province it’s got just one big city but it is _huge._ and Montreal is a great sight to see. Big city- and stuff. (I’ve been writing too much) oh also French…. Stuff.\n\nNOVA SCOTIA IS GOOD BC well Halifax is pretty freakin sweet and the Atlantic is a great sight as well as in Newfoundland and warmest in PEI. Oh and Nova Scotia is cool bc it holds record for find of the worlds largest lobster on its shore. ? \nIt has some nice villages too but I like the seaside the best out of any province there I think.

I immigrated to Canada as a young child with my parents and hold dual citizenship (EU). Personally, the main reason why I still remain in Canada is because of the nature. I really value the vast expanses of untamed forest, the impressive lakes and endless hiking, trekking and canoeing opportunities. You can do all of those things in Europe, of course, but because the population density is so much higher, it's hard to get a beautiful pristine spot all to yourself (unless maybe you're in Scandinavia). And you're never too far off from a town. Whereas in Canada, it can be hundred of kms before you reach a town! If I were more turned on by city life, I'd probably have moved back to Europe a long time ago. There are some nice and aesthetically pleasing portions of certain cities in Canada (i.e Montreal), but overall cities here are not as beautifuland stimulating as their European counterparts. But that's just my opinion :-)

I do not agree because education and health in this province are the worst in Canada! Montreal has streets patched and trust me you don't want to drive a new car when they are in so bad conditions... If you can include some pictures of a dirty metro where some stations have rusted plumbing without being changed for many years that you can see it right in front of your eyes! It is not enough to have some nice freshly painted yellow or white lanes on the roads when they are full of cracks. It's like painting a rusted car to make it look prettier!

Pretty good Adam I'd just mention a few of those things are...I don't want to say inaccurate but way more diverse. For instance French. Yes Quebec is the only French province BUT New Brunswick is the only Bilingual province and basically half and half. This is good for things like federal of provincial services because by law they must provide service in both languages but not so basically everywhere else. The problem with this is you can have an almost completely English town almost nobody speaks French and drive 15 minutes and be in a town where nobody speaks English. Research on this might be hard because a town with a French name may not have any French people in and vise versa. Also this problem is multiplied in the fact that if you Do want a French area we don't speak standard French or Quebecois but instead Le Chiac which is a difficult and confusing mix of old French and english (almost exactly like the Cajun dialect). Second part of this is that Montreal is easy to live in if you don't speak French and is so multicultural you are just apt to hear Swahili as French in public. Last part is be very careful where you move on the prairies as they have may isolated towns some that speak French also. Next is tipping I've never had to tip anyone for a haircut outside of the military and all other forms of tipping here on the east coast are purely optional and wait staff don't get upset if you don't leave a tip unless you were a jerk or left them extra work like making a big mess (I worked as cook for a while after I got out of the army and I rarely ever head staff complain) HOWEVER....tip a waitress well and she might accidentally give you 2 pieces of pie lol and tip a taxi driver well and he will not only get you the cheapest fare he will find ANYTHING you may need no questions asked. Lastly on the nice thing....we are nice for sure especially compared to our southern neighbours BUT there is a lot of passive aggressive nice that happens and this also varies greatly. For instance as a city boy of course you answered the way you did but a guy who have lived all over this country in big and small, French and English places who now has retired to a rural town I can say I find the cities quite snobby and the French and the English can be quite snobby to each other and where I live now if you asked a random stranger for 5$ chances are you would get it also driving down the road people you don't know will just wave at you as if you were the closest friends. Canada is certainly a weird place so many extremes and my advice to anyone wanting to move here is do your research and then visit and travel a bit if possible because even us Canadians can be surprised by thing or two across this gigantic country

Nice summary of the main challenges. Reading some of these comments leads me to believe that if one is motivated solely by money, Canada is not a great choice for you as an immigrant. The number of commenters hoping to move to the US from Canada due to greater opportunities to make money while ignoring the real and substantial disadvantages of living south of the borders just emphasizes this. My family are immigrants from the US and we didn’t face the same challenges as immigrants from countries further afield but I do understand the differences between the two countries very well and can state unequivocally that moving to Canada was the best decision our family made. Lower crime, better health care (yes even with the wait times), a fairer system and a “boring” but sane political system more than compensate for the few extra dollars I would make south of the border. In terms of where better prospects going forward for children and grandchildren, with the looming threat of climate change, Canada wins hands down. Extra income means little if you have to spend all of it on personal security and health care deductibles. So if you are only motivated by top line items like gross annual salary, Canada might not be for you and you would be better off looking elsewhere and leaving that immigration spot open to someone who can appreciate the more balanced offering that a new life and future in Canada can offer.

Really a very needed discussion. Sir! it would be really nice if you can please let us know what if someone is coming from abroad after getting PhD? Does he still need to do odd jobs since that education is recognized and accredited by Canadian Higher Education?? Secondly, one main question is about INTEREST. Since it is prohibited in ISLAM, so what usually one do if he doesn't want to pay the interest on the debts?? Is there any way to get oneself save from this INTEREST things??

My parents and my little sister moved 3 years ago in Quebec, I went there once to visit and it was actually a beautiful place to be. I'm french so we don't really have the same mindset BUT we get used to it. People are kinda nice and there is so much stuff to do ^^ I plan to go back visit them but also to visit Toronto and Vancouver. It'll be fun. I have a query, I just got a message from WES regarding the tentative date for my ECA report and they also told me that they'll send my ECA report to IRCC on their own. I want to ask now they are going to send the ECA report on their own on the tentative date to IRCC but I can apply for my PR process only after receiving the report. So it doesn't make sense if IRCC receives my report before I apply for PR. Kindly help when should I apply for the PR as the date given by WES is 14th May,21. I am unable to find the answer anywhere online.I'd be highly grateful?

Well, you are lucky you can go to the US to drown out all of your problems, in Iraq the healthcare is bad, the education system is bad (especially in public school where kids get hit.) and the people are not nice. The only people who are kind are in Iraqi Kurdistan! Oh, yea I have depression and I am only 11 (my parents think it is not serious.) I used to live in the US, but the Iraq government paid for my dads college, so we had to go back. I am also suicidal, I might commit suicide soon. I am also Muslim. I hope you people live a good life.

I know it won’t be easy but, Toronto has a lot of resources for immigrants and even undocumented immigrants. I worked for a shelter and although it was the only one that takes undocumented families, you learn there are resources out there. \nIt’s about aligning yourself with the right community support Center, finding the people who will fight for you. There are so many people here who welcome and want to help all types of immigrants. No matter your background.\nThe people who work helping these communities they are ruthless in their fight for citizenship, or at least finding you a job and home, they will guide you through the system. Social workers, ones in community resource centres, not government centres, will be your best friend. They know where the red tape is and the resources available to you. \nYou could even go to a specific shelter to t all out your options and where you could go to get help.\nI understand this is not ideal. \nBut, if you want to be here, your best friends are non-profits, finding a center that aligns with your story, your background, because they will fight for you. We have people here from every country and resource centres geared towards your own language, religion etc.\nAnother big way to set yourself up for success. Churches, rich churches to be specific. \nMy mom works in a very rich church and it helps them feel better about themselves helping people, you could be nice enough to alleviate their guilt through their wallets, and connections. Under the table work, shelter, space for your family, set you up, they might even have the lawyers you need pro Bono in those rich churches. Church shopping, do not be above it if you don’t have resources. You don’t just get help, you build a community and support system through a common bond, the church. \nI know these aren’t revolutionary tips, but without specifics of your background it’s hard (for me specifically) to give specific advice online as to what services could be provided for you.\nIt’s kind of like a doctors appointment. You need background info to diagnose the resources for you and how to access that help.

I am a South Asian, living in Toronto for past 20 years. I work in IT industry and I have never felt racism at my work place. All my colleagues and superior were very nice to me and I always felt that Canada is a better place than country of my birth. But I am not black, so I have not had same experience. I think best thing for all minorities is to be a model citizen and be a winner in life. Everybody likes winner.

Don’t bother coming if you don’t have degrees because with such little population jobs are extremely competitive \n2) doctors visits and emergency rooms don’t cost anything upfront but do expect an 8 hour wait or 12 in a big city. Doesn’t matter what your “emergency” is... get in line. We have the longest waits in the world for things like X-rays and MRI’s. True story look it up. \n3) we have the most expense cell phone plans in the world with the shittiest coverage. In all fairness we have a small population and a massive landmass. \n4) if you’re moving to BC, car insurance is government run. So it’s extremely expensive (I think also the most expensive in the world) and it’s awful... so don’t ever get into an accident) other provinces don’t run this way. \n5) gas in BC is also very expansive because of multiple taxes, it’s affordable most places in the prairies though \n6) drinking is 18+ everywhere except BC where it’s 19+ \n\nSo if you want to live somewhere “nice” move to BC. but you’ll be poor as fuck. \nWant to live somewhere affordable, move to the prairies but it’s awful. \nYou can’t move to Quebec if you don’t speak French fluently. Toronto is okay and you won’t fit in anywhere in the eastern islands so don’t even bother. \n\nThe end.

I went to canada with my family when i was 6 years old i thought it was so beautiful the native americans treated us with kindness my dad bought me some moccisens there. A chinese immagrant restaurant owner was nice to us the white people many of them wrent very nice this was in 1969 in the summer but i loved the wilderness and wanted to go back and see the indians. I was a dreamer. Unfortenately and through my own fault after i got out of the military honerably discharged . I got a dui again it was my stupidity but i payed my fine did my jail time and got educated about not drinking and driving. It is not a felony i the US but it is in Canada so canada gets ahold of my driving records maybe they hacked in. And said i could not go into canada. I noticed they let george w. Busch in though oh well i dont think canada even pretends fainess under the law . Any way they are now letting elligals into canada and giving them a hotel room . The duplicity is absurd personally i no longer want to go to canada for anything i think the wall should be put on the northern border. I grew up in Brampton in the 90s. Sure, it's become a lot more crowded. But still I love it here. The people are nice and I get to experience so many cultures. I've even had free lunch many times at the Sikh temples here. For people hating Brampton and saying USA is better, have you ever been to The Bronx NY or Newark NJ? They look like third world countries and you can't go out at night. I don't see any reason for hating Brampton other than racism.

Only skilled resources make good money, but they dont want to put in the same effort in India. I am in Canada too, making good. I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. One thing really pissed me off when I was there that most people expect every brown person to speak Punjabi and when I used to tell them that I don't speak or understand Punjabi, you could see the surprized looks on their face.

Don't go to stores where you do not feel welcomed, you can always shop online\n6. Don't go to restaurants or coffee shops where you do not feel welcomed\n7. When calling into a company for help/support, and you donot feel welcomed, just hang up and call again until you speak with someone nice.\n8. Nobody really cares about your complaints, so dont call into a company to yell and scream, just cancel the service and go with another company\n9. Go with your gut feeling, sometimes you do not feel like leaving the house, just don't.\n10. In general, try to be with friends and go to places where you feel safe.

Before I moved to Brampton, I had no idea HOW MANY Indians actually lived here. I'm of south Asian descent but I grew up here as a Canadian. I still keep my culture but I'm Canadian FIRST. It's true too, some of them don't believe in deodorant, holy shit I literally had to tell a guy who sat beside me on the bus that he smelled. I know it was rude but if someone doesn't tell these people, they will think not wearing deodorant is normal. I miss the Canada I grew up in. My friends were mostly white but there was a nice mix of us: white, black, asian so we all got along. Today, everyone is in their own groups, strangers are the enemy, there is so much more segregation than there has ever been. Not long ago at a Tim Hortons I heard an Indian guy who was clearly new to the country telling his friend he didn't have to learn English because everyone in Brampton speaks Punjabi, it was insulting hearing that.....Listen up Indians and any immigrants coming here: BEFORE you come here, learn English, LEARN the customs and learn the CANADIAN WAY. You owe it to Canada, give something back before you start taking.

I feel bad for his innocent children to have to go through this. You want to live in another country, you need to follow the law like every else. You learn the language, get the same I.D. We all have to have , and be treated the same as if any American were to illegally cross boarders! What we have to go through just to have identification here should be no different for anyone else! You can’t just live off our tax dollars and government ins., food stamps etc.. While we pay for you to live here!! I don’t reap those benefits, yet I’m paying yours!! I can’t feel bad! When I go to a dr. Or dentist and an immigrant or a lazy able bodied parent gets everything done free and I’m struggling to pay with full ins.. I literally walk out so pissed off! These are straight facts!! He had fifteen years to make it right. Instead he took a shot doing it his way to reap the American benefits and the feel bad for me card!If they ever let him come back and he collected any kind of help in those last fifteen years, “if” , he should have to get proper I.D., citizenship, and pay back anything he was given! It’s only fair! He was able to save all that money tax free, hmmm must be nice! I don’t feel bad he had to spend it. That’s real life!I’m tired of watching my citizens no matter race or color, work hard paying taxes and giving their hard earned money away!!If we just let anyone walk right through our boarder than what’s the point of any American needing any I.D.??? Don’t people get why it’s so important to keep track for so many obvious different reasons!! I believe certain citizens with outrageous offenses should be chipped!In every race!I don’t care who the president is any president that doesn’t believe this is the right thing to do sucks! I didn’t vote for a Trump! I think he’s smart and a moron at the same time!

It sounds nice to say “Everyone has a human right to go where they want.” It isn’t so simple. If people come illegally, they affect everyone in the new country and all the people coming legally. If you detain them together with their family, you are incarcerating children, if you take the parents only you break up families. If you send them back with no detention and no appeals, you miss cases with legitimate grounds to have an exception. Bottom line, someone is on the losing end no matter which policies you use—it’s a fiction to say there is a win-win-win. So let’s make hard choices.

The only Blacks allowed to live in Canada are those that are from the Caribbean Islands as part of North America and the Royals as Knights of Canada who are Black Indians as Métis and they are the famous Singers in Toronto and also famous Hollywood Actors. We tried to keep t manipulation of Megan Markle to a minimum but dud include what she was attempting to do off camera to get into Harvard Law to one up Patrick J Adams who she discredited as a Harvard Law Graduate. She was always a problem for the Crown Attorneys in particular him as her target. I was targeted by her as well when studying at UofT and so I know from her behaviour off camera the real nastiness she has as Arab of Dubai toward us as Royals as Canadians. So I'm in a dilemma of whether I should move down to Florida and live with my American girlfriend, or stay up here and support her moving up here in Canada. My main issue is health care. I just hear many people have bad service and poor treatment with insurance down there, but it all depends what insurance your applying with. People are fairly nice, but there are also some douche bags as well so I'm not surprised. With my overall budget, I could likely stay down there for about a few months or so. Here in Canada, taxes are a little higher, but it's worth it (Some idiot said our taxes are lower), health care is paid for, winters are cold but anyone can survive through it. Some say Canada is a socialist (which is Not -_-). Liberal party is ruining Canada as it is in a way. But again, it's better Justin than Trump. (Betting for Scheer). Idk, politics is bad in both countries I say. Idk, I'm likely missing some things here. Should I move down with my girlfriend, or stay up and support her moving up here?

I don't want Islam in my country, not because I hate them but because religions have their own set of moral principles and beliefs, Islam is clearly not compatible to our secular system. I'm not religious myself and I live in the west coast where there are few muslims, but just based from the discussions I've had with transfer students that come to my university I already don't like what I hear. They were nice, kind of, but all of them had backwards ideas. If you need a better reason to be against it, simply read the first few pages from the Quran, it is deplorable, more so then the bible. \n\nIf they want to integrate, their beliefs need to be reformed like Christians have centuries ago.

Nice program.. It seams for some reason the western civilization has been burdened with this problem of Racism, Prejudism and other phobia .. I am a Transgender person. I feel safe in Canada. So should everyone else. BUT Here is the devils advocate in me.. If I went to a different part of the world, would I have the same rights and freedoms as I do here.? Probably not!  Canada is about change. Canadian's accept change, but so should the people who come here. Don't lose your religion, values, or culture. keep them close! but embrace new ones.. Canada is a new world now! We fight hate on all levels!
