Dear Canada, I am an American citizen, and I do not agree with what Trump is doing. I do not agree that Trump is President.

I’m an American in Florida and I didn’t vote for this.I stand with Canada and Ukraine. I am appalled at our government

As an American who opposes - STRONGLY opposes - the Trump administration and everything it stands for, I am sorry for what our country's government is doing to the rest of the world but especially to our oldest, closest allies. \n\nThe MAGA faithful will remain faithful even as the prices of virtually everything goes up and up and our economy tanks. They believe what comes out of Trump's mouth no matter what it is, no matter how obvious reality proves him wrong. Those of us who know what Trump really is have known what he's really about since the beginning. He's about himself and nothing more. His every move, his every word is about further enriching himself and patting himself on the back for his greatness.\n\nHis election to a 2nd term (and maybe more if he decides to ignore our Constitution) will be written about in the history books and it will not be favorable. This is what he wants, though. He wants to be thought of as an influential figure. Well, he is that. But so was a certain little Austrian monster who is remembered with great shame and disgust.

I am an American and I kindly as all world leader to stay on Trump's neck!!! Dont let up! Keep your foot on that man's neck till we can get him out of office. We citizens who didnt vote for this will pay the price. Its a burden that will hit us all... but its our burden to carry now. Dont let up. We dont want this either. We love our allies. And the best thing you can do for us, is fight back. We remain neighbors, friends and allies. Do what you must Canada. As a child, I remember my sister-in-law, who lived under the regime of Hitler, explain to me the horrors that occurred in their country by this tyrant. Now, the USA has a maniac who is taking us Americans through the same things that Hitler took my sister-in-law and her family through. Being an older African American woman, I am not afraid of this President, or what he can do, I grew up with strong black women, and he can't bring me down!! I respect Canada for standing up for themselves. May God ever bless and keep you.

As an American (Independent party), I am personally embarrassed by Trump. I just hope you know that there are many Americans who do not support him and want him removed from office.

I have no idea if Prime Minister Trudeau reads any of these comments or if his team does, but as an American, I am ashamed of our current government. We have a narcissist for a leader who is a bad businessman and a puppet of Putin. How refreshing to see a real LEADER who actually cares about his country and not himself. I support Canada wholeheartedly. I suspect many Americans will be hurt badly by these embargoes and (justified) retaliatory tariffs - but so be it.

I am an American, but my Ancestors were French Canadians who immigrated to Montpelier, Vermont at the turn of the 20th century. Your support in wanting the best for both of our countries makes me so proud of my roots. Charlie Angus as well as Justin Trudeau have integrity and are willing and able to fight for what is right. Please know you are a highly respected nation by most of the people in this country. I have always been so proud of my country, but am now so embarrassed and deeply troubled. It’s really annoying that CNN continues to babble on instead of letting Trudeau finish his press conference and then proceed with their responses.
