Trolls and bots factory have a plan and its on the rise. Not defending the gov, the system is broken, always more and more for the economy that will brake someday, globally.

A Sri Lankan who always gets misidentified as Indian reading the comments here. ? I moved here with the genuine purpose of studying for my LLM, after considering several countries. I was offered a scholarship from my university (a top ranking public university) I know several of my Indian colleagues who came to study & now work in universities & firms. I know educated people who came here from SL, India & other South Asian countries who came to study with the genuine purpose of studying & now pursuing PhDs here & elsewhere. I understand how concerned the whole immigration issue is for Canadians & new commers like us. I’ve always loved to study in Canada & now that I’m here just to see all these negative sides is truly heartbreaking. I was able to secure a decent apartment & decent job (both me & my husband)& so are my friends & colleagues. I love Canada & means no harm. I’d love to use my knowledge & serve developing countries like mine one day. I kindly request anyone reading my comment, please don’t judge. There’re people who came here to study & love to contribute their knowledge & skills to the world. Thank you.

I worked another year for a sewer company, completed my trucking school, and now I have my Class 1. \n\nSome companies even pay for your trucking school, but you have to sign a contract for 1 or 2 years. Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

I would like to add something here to show my gratitude towards Canada. \nI immigrated in Canada and now a Canadian citizen. The best thing Canada has given me are equal opportunities, and system to adopt. \nWhen we immigrated to any country we should respect and obey the rules, culture and values of country. \nIt is hard to say but nowadays some kind of immigrants consultant become greedy and comming students also become blind followers that they are not doing research by themselves. \n\nCanada has very clear and easy to follow immigration rules that any one with basic education can read and understand. There is no place where it is written to give guarantee to PR or extension of the work permit beyond the limit. Usually anyone taking decision to immigrate any another country then obviously need to do some basic and easy home work. \n\nIt is totally not fare and ethically right to protest in the host country to change their clearly defined rules after landing despite of accepting terms while submitting the studen visa. They should adopt our culture! That lady said it all! I’m an immigrant in Canada myself, been here for almost three years. I always tell my wife and kid “we’re the outlanders, we MUST adapt to the local culture and customs!” I put soccer aside and started learning about hockey, I started listening to Canadian rock bands (great, btw), I read two biographies about Terry Fox, Arctic expeditions, geography, etc. Despite my wife still getting along mostly with people from our mother country, I refuse to be part of these clans!

If your intention to study outside India is pure and you do not really want to stay back for more than 5 years and wait for ROI, Canada, UK and Ireland are best options. \n2. Dear Abhi, I am canadian PR. I attest to the facts presented in this video. Students are suffering and it feels bad to see and witness their ordeal. Healthcare is so bad that I have stories of surgery done wrong and person almost died. Colossal level of mis-management is going on in this country. I am professional and at executive level in corporation, still half the time in a year I struggle to keep up with expenses. I am re-considering my decision to stay in this country. If some student is reading this please think 100 times before you come to Canada.

I feel lot of this started as a solution to solve the population crisis, and now immigration has ended up as Canada's addiction. People who run out of visa should leave, sure, but it's basic human instinct to try and stick to the better place. Also, if you don't bring value to the country, you will be the first victim of deportation. If you had a valuable skill or strong academic accolades you would not be kicked out, but because you don't, you are getting kicked out, which is more than fair when a country cannot house you without hurting its own population. Two sides to all coins. \nThat said, I see that while the anonymous hate towards immigrants was always there, this atmosphere has changed the humble and polite Canadians into angry ones in open. I think it is government's fault for bringing people here, so we should point our anger correctly. They could ve stopped it at any point in time, but they didn't, and now people who came here like this good life, and yes it is coming at the expense of Canadians. I agree to that, but again, it's the government who bought them here, and filled their pockets, now as humans, immigrants want to stay at a better place. \nIf your read the whole comment. Canada has a culture they're called, First Nation's, Metis, French and English Canadian. Immigrants should read a history book. We're vast beautiful and bold so learn a little about the country that's allowed you to live here.

I read a statistic somewhere that %60 of Canadians age 18 to 60 live with their parents because they are either unemployed (like me) or can't afford to rent an apartment. I have currently been unemployed in Canada for the last year and I keep applying to jobs but have never gotten so much as an acknowledgement from any of the employers I have applied to. I only need another 10 months of experience with an employer to get my license to work on my own; and I can't do it! I am thinking of moving to the U.S.A. I just don't want to be unemployed anymore.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. I sold a beautiful property in Canada ten acres of maple bush with a home . Just north of Toronto .it was difficult but l read the tea leaves.....would it be worth much more today... obviously...but l was lucky to build a beautiful home on a whitesand beach in Asia.....taxes are $500.00 a year hydro $200.00....insurance and other costs are insignificant.....the big gain is peace of mind and absolute privacy with only a fraction of the sale of my Canadian home..never going back
