North Carolinian American here. I am ashamed of our country pushing our allies away. What I and many others want to let our allies know is that we support them. Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down. History has shown us what happened to our country when we were isolated, and it brought economic devastation throughout the country. I hope that it isn't severe, but I predict that our president, and the Republican Party that controls the legislature and the Supreme Court will definitely cripple the economy, and will find a way to blame the party, where they are not in control.

I hope Con man Chump and his Maga gang will step up and buy all of the CORN ..SOYA BEAN ..WHEAT..AND CHICKEN THAT CHINA PUT TARIFF ON.last time this happens CHINA end up buying all those products from Brazil that leaves American farmers getting hands out from chump..

So sorry Canada I was born there in Quebec Canada and have lived here since childhood in the US you are our neighbors and I can’t believe this is happening and my hopes are that this will all be settled. I just hope president Trump is able to put tariff like penalty on American companies that are outsourcing jobs and leaving American job less. Take a good look at ANY companies career page, and has a software job requirement. 90% of ALL tech jobs are being outsourced to India, it's just getting ridiculous!

As an American, there is nothing I want to see more than countries like Canada who hold their ground and do not allow Donald trump and his government bully them. Hopefully this will end soon and the damage can be minimized

All I can say is I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of my broken country's politicians in Washington, D.C. at present. Trudeau is serving the final moments of his last term, but his approval ratings shot up since the Trump presidency started. Trump genuinely such a crappy leader than other leaders with approval ratings in the dirt are gaining support for going against him. As an American, it’s damn amazing. I hope the next PM of Canada keeps up the same energy and doesn’t concede to the US. Things won’t get better until the world sticks it to us, because the world turning their backs on us is the only thing that’ll get through the thick skulls of anyone who still supports Trump.

As a Ukrainian Canadian, I feel like I've been stabbed in the back twice—first by Russia and now by USA once-close ally. I hope Americans use their democracy wisely and act urgently because if they stay silent, they risk becoming like the Russians who stood by and did nothing to protect their closest neighbors from a dictator.

California here... but my Mom was Canadian and never gave up her citizenship.. wearing my Canada sweatshirt today in solidarity. I hope Canada knows how many Americans are with them and how much we hate what's going on in our country. For the first time in in my life I am deeply ashamed to be an American.

What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.
