Justin Trudeau is a parasite...he caused 86% food inflation, causing millions of Canadians to have to rely on food banks, while Trudeau spent $81k of Canadian taxpayers dollars on groceries for himself this year alone...Trudeau underfunded Canada in relation to NATO, underfunded Canada in relation to NORAD, ticked off Trump by being rude to him in the past so that now Trump launches an economic trade war against Canada cause he just wants to hurt Canada to hurt Trudeau. Yes, Trump is an absolute economic imbecile as this trade war will cause Great Depression 2 in America and Canada (unless he invades which I think he will in some years) but the thing I hate the most about this is that Trump makes Trudeau look like the good guy in all this when Trudeau ruined Canada beforehand...all Trump needed to do was SHUT UP and let the Canadian perpetual liar LEAVE office...now we all pay the price for Trump's hatred of Justin Trudeau :(

I was very disappointed with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. While I have always been pressed by his superior leadership record and skills especially with his spectacular response to the impending tariffs by travelling to UK and Europe and talking about trading with Europe and East Asian countries.\nWhat a disappointment when he called Putin a murderous dictator. Justin, let’s look at the record of your friends in the West. USA has over decades bombed and killed millions of Muslims in Arab countries. Today the murders continue to go one without a peep from you or your western leader friends. In the last week the US has bypassed Congress to ship billions of dollars of bombs to Israel so Israel can with these US bombs cleanse Gaza. So Israel can steal the Palestinian lands so Trump can built a resort and hotels in these stolen Palestinian lands.\nSo what about Ukraine? Same story, different tactic. NATO with your consent poked the Russian bear for decades before Russia, whose warnings about NATO expansion went unheeded. Russia had no choice but to fight a proxy war with Ukraine as US kept on shipping dollars and weapons to Ukraine ‘to weaken Russia’. When you won the election, Justin, I thought that a younger Canadian whose father was one of the most independent thinking leader, that you would take a history lesson and realize that the US foreign policy over decades has been the cause for so much complicity in so many countries around the world. I have not once heard from you that Israel should be called out.

I know a lot of people are tired of JT. And they have their reasons. But as a Canadian, I have to say that he did a good job addressing this issue. He literally came across as a concerned Canadian citizen that doesn't want this trade war. He truly doesn't. Nobody does. I gotta give props to JT on this one. He may have made some mistakes, but he did a good job addressing these terrible tariffs.

I am so happy and proud to be a Canadian when I see our leaders behave like grown ups. America unfortunately has an orange face whackadoo behaving so immaturely. As a Canadian, I have to say that we must get rid of Trudeau ASAP. This man is dangerous. How can he form alliances with Europe when our principal economic partner is the United-States. He's playing a very dangerous game and I don't like it one bit!

As a Canadian, I may not have agreed with everything Trudeau has done in the past 9 years. However he’s handled this American threat with class and dignity and I’m proud of our response. American/Canadian relations will never be the same. After all of this is over, there is a lot of apologies and healing that has to happen before we can even start thinking about rebuilding this relationship.

I’m a Canadian and no fan of Prime Minister Trudeau. It’s unfortunate the best speech he ever gave was after he resigned as Prime Minister. What he has said in this speech is absolutely true, despite the fact, I think Trump is doing some good things for the USA. This Terrif war with your neighbour is stupid. Unfortunately for us in Canada our Prime Minister has not given us the tools and freedom to grow economically and prosper the way we should have. Canadians should be living like Kings, but unfortunately are living paycheque to paycheque because of the stranglehold that our Prime Minister has put on businesses and its citizens. Now Canada has very little leverage, I believe to fight this Terrif war. Canada has become a pure Cradic nightmare, like the previous administration in the United States were overtaxed over regulated and spend money like drunken sailors on stupid things that don’t help us grow and prosper.

Imagine if Trudeau announced that he would be pausing the carbon tax on the Canadian people to help offset some of the costs imposed on us by the United States. Do I respect that he is standing up for Canadians...Yes! Is Donald foolish in creating a trade dispute between his closest friends and Allies...Yes! Who's going to suffer....everyone! I want to move to Canada now. As an American I have never seen anything so stupid than what our president did. I am 1/2 Canadian and shock at what is happening to our friends up north. This was a great speech and I am very impressed with what they will do to help their fellow citizens.

I am very glad our prime minister has stepped up and pushed back hard with what the orange predator down south and his puppet master, Putin, have forced on us. As an American, I am embarrassed by our leadership. Presidents like Trudeau and Zelensky are men to look up to. They may not be perfect, but they remain strong and confident in the face of the tyranny of Trump and Putin. I live an hour from the Canadian border, and they have been nothing but kind and amazing every time I've ever visited. My support is with Canada, Mexico and Ukraine. It is a dark and embarrassing time to be an American.

As a US citizen who didn't vote for the president (Trump) we have who is corrupt, self- serving and would have gone to prison if he had not been voted as president. I too am appalled at what he and his minions have done already. \nI understand what Canada has to do to protect itself. I support Canada.I feel for the Canadian people. I am a Canadian and I love America and the American people. I hope we can put this behind us sooner rather than later there is no need for any tension between us. We always have each other‘s back. With that said, I would like to see Canada step up to certain obligations, including with NATO, but as far as a trade work goes, this is not good.

Prime Minister, I have not voted for you three times. I have not really agreed with your policies since you came to power. I have even thought that you did not know when to make a 'dignified departure. And now today when you have literally five days left before you step off the dais for good, I listen to you and am proud. As a Canadian I've sold off all investments that have US holdings and I hope others do so as well and switch to Canadian, European or Asian companies.

Americans obviously didn’t understand what tariffs are, didn’t get that it’s an import tax which they must pay on goods and products they buy from Canada, a tax which tRump collects from Americans and uses to pay for tax-cuts for the richest citizens. But one more thing Americans don’t get is that before this fateful day an unofficial boycott against ALL US goods has been growing since tRump insulted Canada’s Prime Minister and threatened Canada’s sovereignty—whereas Canada’s official countervails ( which only kicked-in today )only target certain US goods, not ALL of them like ordinary Canadians are doing in growing numbers right now—in fact, the imposition of tRump’s tariffs today has only made the unofficial boycott bigger and more organized. It’s heartening that so many nations have solicited Canada, offering alternative sources for common US exports to Canada —citrus fruits, pharmaceuticals, and other manufactures, to name a few.\n\nI don’t think Canadians even realize how big this unofficial boycott is getting because it’s growing so fast. I’ve never seen a surge in Canadian patriotism like this. Never in my seven decades —which includes the two Referenda on Quebec separation. Now with 20% tariffs on China , the iPhone full import price $700 (sale price). is taxed(tariffs) x 20% = $140. Trump wants 20% corporate rate extended and ultimate 15% corporate rate. Most all the overseas US mfg might come home to moma. \nI would advise Trump to selectively wave tariffs on some items like lumber from Canada and food from mexico. As for oil from Canada I think Trump will let Chevron develop and buy heavy oil from Venezuela. If not might have to wave/reduce tariffs on Canadian diluted bitumen oil.

As a Canadian, I can assure America that, even if or when these tariffs are removed, we will never forgive or forget the base treatment we have received from our former closest friend. The free world is not blind. They can see what America has done to its closest ally. Splendid Isolation will once again be enjoyed by Americans but this time it will be initiated by the free world.

I am an American, but my Ancestors were French Canadians who immigrated to Montpelier, Vermont at the turn of the 20th century. The reason why Canada refuses to join the U.S as a 51’s state is because we would then fall under the U.S Justice System and then the U.S would be shocked to see that Canada is a criminal state.

I don’t think that Trump’s Tariffs have anything to do with Fentanyl. His aim is to isolate USA from their allies, he wants to gather as much money as possible to pay for huge tax cuts to the richest oligarchs. This is all about greed first and the destruction of democracy second. We are so much more vulnerable as a nation at this time. I’m disgusted by Trudeau as soon as he opens his mouth so I can’t listen to him - doesn’t matter if he makes sense (for once). Justin Trudeau is a criminal politician with no mandate. He is an elected dictator who won’t step down to further his personal narcissistic agenda. Even when he “resigns” he fails. Tariffs just make us pay more at the checkout - Trudeau is a lunatic. I have lost all faith in this so called “democracy” in Canada and I’m not completely opposed to a 51st state idea - it would be better once one looks beyond the Canadian pride and patriotism.

As a Canadian, Trudeau is an unserious loser who has no problem preventing key infrastructure projects like pipelines and refineries that would have made us more independent, and taxing us to live through carbon tax. All this is silly performative nonsense geared towards cementing a legacy and will cause more pain to Canadians. If his intellect is so chanllenged it can't go two steps ahead and realize our economy will be crushed and we'll have to capitulate before the US, well I guess that explains the last ten years. He should be tried for treason.

As soon as Trudeau or any other Canadian Liberal MP says, “Let me be crystal clear,” or refer to clarity, you can be sure that there is dishonesty happening! This guy has been working on Canada’s destruction for 9 years. He has given away Billions of taxpayers hard earned dollars to those of his choosing, as though it were his to give. He has been financially running Canada into the ground with the help of his financial advisor, Mark Carney. He has let The Canadian Armed Forces disintegrate for lack of funding, while choosing to refuse payment to NATO and those who help to defend Canada. He and his Government have been involved with billion dollar scandals and have become a major force of “Legalized Crime!” Now he wants to lay the blame for his poor leadership on the US. Unfortunately, many Canadians don’t see the truth! The Canadian News Media support the Government and suppress the truth by backing the Government Propaganda and by twisting the truth into untruth! It’s a childish game being played by an entitled child who doesn’t care about the people he was supposed to be leading. I would imagine, that if their Conservative Party Leader Poilievre wins the upcoming election, he will be able to straighten out many of the troubles that have been caused by the World Economic Forum Puppets and their agenda. I doubt that the Canadian People are in favor of the agenda of having nothing and being happy. What foolishness the elites expect people to believe. I’m sure that our Government will be able to get it all ironed out when Canada gets a leader that really cares about their people and not about those fake Carbon Taxes. As a Canadian - Trumps 'brilliance' has done one thing for sure, it's aligned all of the provinces against our neighbor and former ally the United States. It's done something we ourselves have had difficulty with - gaining support from Quebec. The overwhelming vast majority of Canadians don't trust the US anymore, as the legal justification for the tariffs is absolute bull, and is a pretext for Trumps actions. My family has cancelled all US travel, in my case 2 trips this year worth 15K to the US. I will miss Vegas for my 60th. We used to shop in WA State weekly; last year I spent 11K in WA State, and routinely took in shows in Seattle. No more. \n\nCan anyone please explain why Trump is screwing over Americans? Seriously.
