I love Canada and I love all of the Canadian people as an American I feel really bad for you guys because you’re going through what we went through in the Biden administration. It’s gonna get worse until it gets better but it’s up to all of you Canadians to vote the right way next time you need a real man who has power And can deal with your country and puts it first and the citizens first this guy showed up in a Barbie premiere movie wearing the pink outfit that says enough. Canadian here- I hate Trudeau just as much as most Canadians, and as it seems most Republican Americans do as well. But I fully stand behind him at this hour. He might have shit the bed for most Canadians during his time as PM, but when it mattered he has stood up for Canada. Review the facts and educate yourself on the current situation between CAN and the US. I will be the first to admit, Canada has not done enough in terms of its own security and military, but these failures should not be the decay in our friendship as nations. The US DOES NOT subsidize Canada, it DOES NOT give money to Canada. In simple terms- the larger country, with the largest economy in the world (USA) buys more from its Northern brother, which produces vast amounts of natural resources which the larger southern country requires. As for the booing seen at most recent sports events in Canada, that is directed at the President, not the average American. I myself would never boo a national anthem, an anthem that millions have sacrificed to protect and defend. But I understand the pain and anger that is coming from my country. We have always been allies, friends, and to most even family. I do hope that in the future our relationship can heal and move forward but the current actions being taken by the American admistration are horrendus and upsetting to most of the world outside of the US. I wish us all the best in the future, be nice to one another, and always remember that the US and Canada have fought, spilled blood, and died alongside one another in the fight for democracy and freedom around the world.

As a Canadian, I am more afraid of the people than their healthcare system. And I am chronically ill and would be homeless in America. You seem pretty cool, but living in a place where children have to train for school shootings. I heard they cant even wear light up shoes for their own saftey. Canada has many problems and disadvantages which will need to be determinedly addressed in the coming years. However, we have one key advantage over our friends to the south, and one I hope that over time this will increasingly bear fruit: we are not governed by a fascist-adjacent government. Our only political party with policies resembling the American Republicans is polling in the low single digits.\n\nSetting aside the question of whether American Republicans are 'fascist-adjacent', the truth is that much of the world perceives it as such. As a Texan I came to have distain for the States of New York and California pushing policies and legislation that made no sense and even seemed anti-American. Texas has transformed in many ways for the negative due to the amount of illegal immigration that has taken place over the last 20 years.

I sincerely don't understand why people have an issue with people who came here illegally getting deported. It's not at all racially motivated or discrimination. Whether they are serious criminals or just entered illegally - it is not right for them to be here, or be provided services paid for by tax paying Americans. As an educated American citizen, If I want to move to UK or European countries I have to jump through many hoops, prove I have my own money to support myself, and possibly meet a language requirement. Why is it that we just accommodate anyone who wants entry to USA? It baffles me. I have friends all upset about deportations and it's ridiculous. I can't understand why we bother to have any laws if we don't enforce them? I have 2 family members who immigrated here LEGALLY. That's the only way it should be allowed and we should up the requirements to gain entry as well.

I am Québécois, and things here are quite different from the rest of Canada. For example, we have a law here that clearly forbids wearing religious signs when in a position of authority. Even a teacher, because they are a figure of authority for their students, could not wear the Roman collar, a cassock, a hijab, a niqab or anything else of the sort while in school. In the streets or any other public place, there is no problem at all. Everyone is welcomed to express their difference of culture or religion in the way they dress or in whatever other way. They are treated with the same respect and kindness as anywhere else in Canada. It is only that the separation of religion and state, and religion and authority is paramount here. Everybody is free and can express themsleves freely. But don't use that freedom to impose your views onto others. \nSo, when American judges are chosen for the federal court specifically because of their christian fundamentalist biases, it doesn't resonate well at all for me or the majority of Québécois. When the rights of the LGBTQ+ community are being questioned or jeopardised. Or a previous federal judgement like Roe v Wade is being overturned for religious reasons... it is a definite turn off for all of the Québec people to even remotely consider the United States as a destination to emigrate to (supposing that one would want to leave our beautiful country).\nMore and more, America, that used to be recognized as the land of the free, appears to be retrograde and restrictive and definitely not so free.

Just within the past two weeks FEMA spent over $500 million to provide luxury hotels for illegal immigrants yet a few weeks ago they were still claiming that they didn’t have enough money to help American citizens who suffered catastrophic loss during recent hurricanes and wildfires. The simple fact that Democrats got more upset that Elon Musk bought Twitter than they are, that their own political party in government for the past four years, has literally been holding them at gunpoint and forcing them to pay taxes so that they could steal it or launder it into their own campaigns and pockets is literally disturbing! WTF!!!! If any of those other federal agencies are ran or funded the way U.S. AID were, with the massive corruption, misappropriation, fraud and theft of taxpayer funds, then I hope DODGE goes through an completely audits, every single federal agency in the United States. No wonder the Democrats are freaking out the way they are, if the Republicans got caught this bad with their hand in the taxpayer cookie jar, then you know the Democrats would be screaming a different tune. Nearly all of this group of illegal migrants had entered the US illegally through many South American countries through dangerous jungle corridors. These rich young villagers can imagine these villagers spent 445,000 dollars on a week long vacation.

I have spent quite a bit of time in USA and I always find my experience split. For the most part the people and places are great. As a filmmaker I have shot in NYC, California, Mississippi to name a few. The people were always accommodating and friendly. One time a gentlemen and his wife that allowed us to film in his property would bring us hot chocolate at night, then offered to shoot anyone who got in our way. I was also filming in the desert in 2009 and I almost got shot in the face by a group of police officers that charged in guns out and tempers raging, before realizing that we had film permits and were scheduled to be on site. Only to have the crew say that if I was black they would have shot first and asked questions later. As tensions rise between Canada and USA with Trump's trade war and attempt to ANNEX Canada I think I will do my filming in other parts of the world, if not in Canada. I have plenty of American friends and know a lot of Canadians that live in the US. I just hope things settle between our two nations soon. Where do you live? I’m sorry, but if you can’t see how this is a problem for our country, then you need your head examined. I don't think the average viewer knows why the US is doing this. They're trying to combat illegal immigration and fentanyl as well as Mexican compliance with the drug cartels.\n\nThe reason tariffs are being used is because America is in a very powerful position when it comes to trade. The american economy doesn't rely on trade like Canada (67%), Mexico (73%) and China (37%). American trade accounts for only 24% of its massive GDP. if you removed all trade from america, it would still have larger economical output than china, mexico and canada COMBINED. yes. Combined. \n\nFurthermore, Canadian trade with america account for almost 80% of all trade in canada. A 25% increase would be absolutely devastating to canada. It's not just all the parties supporting Canada's counter tariffs. The Canadian people are in support, across political, cultural, economic and geographical lines. Canada has not been as unified about anything that I can remember (and I'm old). Plus, Canadians are a stubborn people with a more community oriented attitude than the USA and we don't like bullies. If we have to change brands of food, stop drinking bourbon and American beer, pay a bit more, even pay more taxes to cover the costs for people affected... so be it. A lot of us Americans remember learning about the tariff wars in history class that ended up in deciding fair trade was the better route. I fear we’re about to learn the same lesson again…\n\nAs far as the drug trade goes apparently the GOV doesn’t spend enough time on the internet because the cartels are no longer just in Mexico they’re in the USA and in Canada. They have learned the Canadian border is a lot easier to cross and they can get into BC pretty easily due to relaxed immigration policies In Canada.. they probably don’t actually know where the drugs are coming from or where they’re being manufactured entirely. As an American it feels a bit extreme, but all Canada has to do is attempt to fix their border, but your leaders would rather choose war. OK. 75% of Canadian exports go to the US while you only take 12% of ours exports. This will be a bloodbath. If Canada was a state in the USA, it would be the 4th largest economy. I have family that is from Canada, this makes me sad.

As a European living in Canada I noticed right after we got here that quality and even availability of good European product is lacking. All the American backwards product never impressed me. So, you are an illegal immigrants for years, not planning to regulate your situation. Then, despite the lack of certainty on your situation, you decide to have a baby (I say decide as there are too many contraceptive options at hand nowadays so it is literally a decision made) so that that baby becomes an American citizen, yet with a family/parents without a clear and legal pathway. How does that make sense??? To me it doesn't and citizenship should be by conferral in case of any immigrant, even for the respecive descendants of those immigrants. As an American I had great love for Indians while growing up together in school. After we graduated I even travelled twice to India ( Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai) for vacations.\nHowever, my experience in India was unbelievable. \nAs a young American at that time I never believed Indians could have such horrible characters even when my parents and close friends had told me about it earlier.\nAfter my experience in India I decided to pay closer attention to any Indian I came across in the US, and surprisingly i discovered Indians are not only very corny by nature but are also very self centered, greedy and selfish kinds of humans. Although not all Indians, but 8 out of 10% naturally have this character which is disgusting indeed.\nFor a long time most people never noticed that about Indians because they pretend to be quiet and mostly gentle. However behind an Indian soft and gentle appearance lays very corny, crooked, self centered, and double standard fellows.\nAnyone who doubts my observations should also make the research by themselves.\nYes, they are good bad and ugly people in every race and country, but Indians are clearly out of the context as their double standard and corny life styles of extreme pretence are undiscovered danger to any society.

They don’t care about Canada but come here and force us to adapt while we’re in a housing and economic crisis and overpopulated and just finished lockdowns and layoffs and are being a gaslit into thinking we’re racist for seeing only one culture in our own country. it’s quite something especially for us who are still struggling to pay bills and make any money and have any joy in life seeing people come and claim victimhood in a place they just got too on purpose is quite appalling. It’s just Canadian culture is inherently taught to be honest and treat everyone equal when they know this and use it against us so they can lie and only help there own. It’s quite interesting how American politics has gotten young Canadians so confused on self identity and the idea of being racist that were just allowing it and bending over for them. Canadians are lonely and poor and cold and confused and will never own a home but immigrants are coming in and just expecting us to assimilate to there own culture across the world. I hope things change in the media as the media seems to be neglecting real Canadian hardships and sees Canadian citizens as rich privileged people that aren’t being directly fucked by this

You're better off staying in the U.S. I lived in Canada for years. Now in the States. The Canadian dollar is not nearly as strong as the American dollar. You can also forget about ever being a homeowner in Canada especially the major cities like Toronto you're looking at 1 million dollars for starter. Let's not forget the other hair raising cost of living. Healthcare is free in Canada but if you have a life threatening illness forget it. You can die waiting to get care!
