I understand traveling for years outside Canada for the last decade will put you far out of the Candian market. If you followed the traditional work-invest in Canada approach you might feel different. As a baby boomer, I am set and my nieces and nephews who have entered the market early, they all have homes. If you are just coming to Canada now, blame the Trudeau immigration plan that has overwhelmed the system. In 5 to 10 years we may have caught up, I will be gone but the current immigrants will be in good shape. I love Americans. Although that's a general statement and just like Canada, there are jerks there just like here, for the most part I get along great with them. There are pros and cons to living in Canada and the U.S., For the most part, I believe Canada is the superior country. We have a superior healthcare system, superior banking system, superior snacks, and superior safety. However, Trudeau is killing that. He's destroyed our country to the point that one more term, and it may well be expedient to move to the USA. He's destroying our economy, our values, our culture. We have the resources to top the USA in every way, but we've never had leadership to make that happen. The U.S. has a superior economy, retail, and military. Although some may argue that the USA has superior freedoms, I'm not sure I agree with that. I know I don't feel freer when I travel there. I will definitely travel to the U.S. again. I have lots of friends there who I love and would love to see. However, it will take more Trudeau for me to want to move there. Since it looks like he's on the way out, I better just stay put at least for now.

Trudeau brought the international students for money! Each international student had to bring CAD 10,000 and from 2024 it's CAD 20,000 which gets deposited in a Canadian bank. From the stats, in 2022, international students have contributed $30 billion to Canada's economy. If ONE PERSON is to be blamed here, it's Justin Trudeau. Proud dual citizen Canadian here. Love the country, people and culture. However, the Liberal politics of the last 9 years have been a disaster, from high inflation, uncontrolled immigration, lack of pro business investments, homelessness, housing… this is to list just a few issues. The same thing has been happening in the US and Western Europe. Thank you God for helping elect Donald Trump. Many on this forum may not like the guy, but he was before, and will be good for the country, economy, overall people of the US and indirectly Canada. A different angle : Because of mass Ive , huge , flood econimic migrants , forests will be first to go, soil , fish ,( fresh water ) , land fills extended with new ones on horizion, open spaces gone, water spoilage and shortages EXAMPLE California has sunk 2ft.
