I was just forced by my husband to come here in 2010. I never plan to live abroad but I went for the sake of the kids and dont want regret. My husband is mentally ill even before we got married(family took advantage of me when they saw I was an independent widow that time). Upon arriving here, nothing was prepared,no beds no nothing just the social housing and he was already orienting me to get food from food bank and simply convinced me to follow here for the child benefits,free education and healthcare. Let me just mention, the family of my husband is claiming they were rich and prominent in the Philippines. Fast forward....14 years after, he didnt get a house for us....I just ran after him for child support....he didnt finish the divorce process that I ask him to do upon arrival....now, that its time for him to pay tution fee for college, he is mad! He is so desperate that he brainwashed one of his sons to blame me and make me feel like the whole thing is my fault! My son almost killed me last time bec his dad getting sympathy and ranting that he has no money. This is the biggest regret of my life......I believe if my sons are educated and grew up in the Philippines, they are more happy and was able to tap all their talents and intelligence. I am done here! And for people telling me that the money we earn here we dont get in the Philippines....sorry, my peace of mind and dignity has no price tag. I am not materialistic too. Respect to humanity is all we need!

I think if you want to succeed then you will succeed anywhere. I love my country India. But I don’t like the pollution and the rat race children go through . You cannot afford a decent place to stay in big cities if you are not earning really really well. Yes, loneliness is there in Canada but you can make friends , join extracurricular activities. I do hate the health system but also I know that God forbid if I ever have a serious disease , I don’t have to pay for it through my nose like India. This lady is cribbing for nothing at all. I don’t think she wanted to stay. She must have thought here roads are paved with gold. In India also you have to struggle . Go in a packed train to work, come late and cook. You don’t learn any life skills because maid is there.

Theirs no prosperity in Canada anymore as you would think, big businesses,had crushed small businesses, small businesses are destroyed by red tape and high taxes, buying a home is only available to people with significant salaries and high paying job, and internet insurance, all extremely high. As a Canadian, I would leave this country, politicians are crooks, liars, controllers, it’s a beautiful country, but the governments have ruined the life living here. Politicians are such asshole bullshitters it unbelievable.

I'm so glad to finally see people talking about this issue. I'm originally from Africa, but I was raised in the US, so spent most of my life in the country (35+ yrs). And, I felt this deep loneliness even as a child. I would cry whenever we went back home to visit and it was time to go back to the US, and I would be really depressed for quite a while after getting back to the US. I never felt that life was normal, and everytime we met a new immigrant, I remember thinking to myself, even as a child or teenager that they just don't know the trap they are getting themselves into. Kudos to you for speaking up about this.

It’s nonsense! I work remote from downtown Toronto. Life is very affordable if we own our own homes and we do, as we had done well from 2000’s to 2020.

Great video.skilled people should migrate to Australia but never canada..let me add 3 more reasons : canada is a non happy people, due to complex life, it's very hard to meet a Canadian happy. 2. Many sectors in business are dominated by people from a certain country and they will not anyone work in that field. For example, security guard, and warehouse jobs are only for India. Firefighting jobs are only for someone who's father or brother is a Firefighter. School manager is only Canadian of Europe origin...3. Canada is age eating place, meaning you come to canada young, but ur life will run so fast , that you get old and crippled very fast+not happy.

what would save our healthcare system would be charging our immigrants a $5000 non refundable application fee. Citizens have been paying taxes for their whole life when immigrating grandparents that are likely to have ailments are moving here for free healthcare.

He has lots of valid complaints, says life was good and stable back in Nigeria, doesn't recommend Canada to others who have stable situations back home, says we should be building Africa, says quality of life is better in Nigeria, says he faces racial discrimination in Canada, says money goes further in Nigeria, but he's... staying here? \n\nGot it.

The people that are complaining about Canada have some valid points , as do I . But in travelling to other countries you really see how the good extremely out weighs the bad . The main problem in my opinion is allowing massive Immigration without improvement of services across every aspect of living . This leads to the degradation of the quality of life . Government can't have it both ways , Get sufficient housing and services or slow immigration . It's that simple

90% of the population in Canada people are really sick and suffering from different kind of diseases . That talks very bad for Canada that means the life in Canada is very bad ! If in one country if the percentage so high of the people who are suffering from : \nDiabetes, High Blood pressure, Heart disease, Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Heart attacks , Cancers, etc. It means that country is not good to live in it .

According to many, it is not immigrants; it is native Canadians leaving Canada. That's so sad to hear. Because they didn't like some government policies, they decided to leave the country.They don't love their country.Their love is conditional. Good luck to those so-called Canadians. It would be a great experience and a life lesson for them on how to survive and live in another country. They will come back soon as refined humans.

This is crazy. Masses of people who we don't know who they are move as please around the world with no documents. Europe is flooded, Canada and the US. This is crazy those people are a threat to public safety. Imagine there is turmoil in their counties and they try to act from inside.. They are not refugees, they have no right to be in our country. Came to Canada from Kuwait looking for a better future. Big mistake, shouldn't have flapped my gums at work, i had a decent banking job with a career and a future. Now im stuck driving a effin truck with a bachelors degree to make slightly above average with 0 appreciation from the public, and a middle finger to say thank you for my 70 hour work weeks. I see my bed once every 3 days. I sleep next to rats and roaches in truck by the ports. Belittled by port workers and customs agents. Barked at by everyone down to a forklift driver. Looked at as lesser of a human because of the colour of my skin. What a horrible life :( My sister has already left and she was a dentist in Toronto. My mom went back ages ago. My dad is the only one wanting to stay to take care of his elderly patients, many rely on him. All i do is pay taxes and hide my money in the business, what a corrupt and horrible financial system.

Bye! In Canada we practice tolerance for all people including LGBTQ people. So sorry you’re intolerant to these beautiful people. Canada is intolerant of intolerant people. So have a great life elsewhere.

Great video and very helpful indeed for new comers, but my personal experience is, you can do much better in Canada if you burn the boats, you can not give it your 100 % specially when you keep thinking that you can always go back to where you come from. Most of us are not used to live independent hard working life and that’s a bottle neck and culture shock for most immigrants.

if people think that coming canada ur gonna live a comfort life.... maybe u dont know much about canada lol just saying... also keep in mind we have very harsh winter here.. not so comfy eh its like this for 6 months we barely have summer here spring its usually slushy coldness here.. nobody goes out anymore cause everything so expensive so we just stay home... nobody talks to anybody anymore this nation is going down hill... dont expect coming to canada and think ur gonna live the california dream here cause that is just not it.

I think the homicides and violence are closely related to Canada's Xenophia / Racism and Drugs, particularly in Vancouver which has full neighborhoods packed with unemployed Junkies doing nothing.\n\n* Downtown East is where the Cops throw the Junkies if they ever walk around the Tourism area. I didn't like the traffic jams, air pollution, the political goondaas, the rapes and killings of innocent girls, the hypocrisy in the general public and leadership, the government red tape, the Prime Minister of a country coming to power on the basis of Digital economy and the entire population running each and every real estate transaction using black money. The Prime Minister of a country promising 100 developed cities and delivering just 10 cities with uncontrollable air pollution and traffic jams and failed infrastructure, the 1.5 billion people just act like mute spectators, yes I am proud I quit and chose Canada at age 46 from a country that can never come out of its slave mentality and hypocrisy in each and every deal. I am proud of bringing my family to Canada and giving a respectable life to my wife and my 2 daughters, and most importantly breathing pure Oxygen, a rare luxury in my home country...

We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

That's why both of you are kids/student visas upon entry. Lol. That explains it. 30 years ago, only economic professional immigrants or refugees were only allowed to immigrate to Canada, it changes so much now. That's what happens when Liberal government is in charge, the country is destroyed with their immigration policies and quality of life of Canadians.

As an international student from India at a top university with a scholarship, I found it quite odd when I go to the Tim Hortons near McgIll or literally any food shop in Toronto and found talking to the guy/girl taking the order in Hindi. I am like bruh wtf I went from India to mini India, wasnt studying abroad supposed to be a difficult prospect. The senseless immigration that happens through diploma farms, that only increase the population of unskilled immigrants needs to stop. Like Canadian healthcare is on the verge of collapse, cuz u dont have enough doctors yet you want 200,000 more TimHortons workers from Punjab. I do not understand this policy. \n\nI also question the impeccable brain power of the Indians who leave the comfort of their family and home (which imo has massively better healthcare system) to come here and then live a life of hardship due to not having proper education or just not having enough money.

I am from Mumbai India and you cannot for the life of you find traditional slaughter meat, it’s all just halal meat. \n\nBasically Indians are forced to eat halal meat in a non Islamic country

I used to encounter these types of people when I lived in India many years ago. It is the rise of a middle class which maybe for the first time experiment air travel significant better quality of life. They have an entitlement mentality.

There is alot of mental illness in the white anglosaxons canadian population which makes life more stressful also people dont want to live in India.

You want to believe it , to MENY international people , we’re being taking over !their buying up every place and rents are gone up Doubled , I my self , my friends , my family, we have no where to live , I’m took a never brake down be cause I’ve been homeless for 6 months , living with family, because rents have doubled , I’m middle aged ,lived here my whole life ,any many many others like me retired and can’t find a place to live ! What the heck is going to happen, it’s not all students, unless their bring all their generations of families with them ! I was a student I had Indian roommates who hardly spoke English. I don't blame them because they want a better life.
