I'm not a Canadian. The rational question to ask is--how much of the problems noted are new and real; how much is due to immigration; how much is fabricated by self-seeking politicians; how much is due to the wealthy becoming wealthier; and what should we (all nations, not just Canada) do about world-wide inequity. I'm not saying that it is the wealthier nations' responsibility to provide for the less wealthy and the impoverished, but what should we do? Anything? Nor am I saying, we should have less so that others can have a little more. But should we ignore those who have less--far less? And, how much of the problem, real or not, is due to the reasons given in this video? In this video, I do not see any serious statistics or economic analysis. A theme in this video is that growth is essential. But there's a limit to that too. Maybe these are signs that the world of growth across the globe is ultimately doomed. Are we capable of understanding the world with sufficient precision? Or is all our economics ultimately a sham?

One thing never mentioned in the video is that the type of immigrants being brought in now, they are not the same as the old immigrants. Back then, the immigrants were actual skilled workers and builders. Now they are all uber eats guys, or they live off the government. In a nutshell. When the immigrants outnumber Canadians it ceases to be Canada. When more money and support is given to foreigners than Canadians that have paid taxes for their whole lives it's a travesty. Newly landed immigrants have more opportunities than my Canadian born children even though I have paid an insane amount of taxes to Canada my whole life.

Stop saying anti immigration. No one is against immigration as long as it is sustainable. 62% of doctors in Canada are immigrants, some 40% nurses are immigrants, lawyers, engineers, etc. However low skill jobs attracting people to be imported is just soo dumb. I came here as a kid with my highly skilled parents and things were very different back then.

This is what happens when activism takes over government, media, and educational institutions. Responsible behavior gets thrown out the window. It doesn't take a genius to figure out you need to have infrastructure before you add more people, not the other way around. Canada hasn't had a government for 8 years. Back then we dint come to get PR but to improve our skills , there was really only 4 universities we all came to UoT, mcgill, Uof A and BC, to do our postgraduate studies in engineering, medicine and business. We applied only when we got full or partial scolarship….. i now work in a canadian base cmpany as mid level engineering manager. .. the quality of indian students coming in has gone down …kids enrolling in diploma mills and their strategy is to work in tim hortons, because the paid 25 k for tution they are entitled to pr and a job … crazy

I had immigrated to Canada 34 years ago , my Canadian husband had to wait 2 years before immigration granted me visa . Nowadays it is so easy to come to this country as long as you have 20000 dollars and faked student visa , you can work instantly once you arrive. I think Liberal Party is so desperate for vote from new immigrants . I think after they graduated, they have to go back and apply for permanent visa just like the others. This way we will get quality not quantity immigrants.

Many, many, many years ago I recall when they expanded Hwy 401 through Toronto and everyone was saying how much of waste it was to have such a large Hwy. Look at it now. It’s called urban planning and your politicians are directly responsible. There should never be a problem with immigration as long as planning is done appropriately.
