The disrespectful comments are unacceptable and personally I would never stand for it. However I myself have witnessed and experienced myself . There are people targeting others claiming they are raising money for certain people and it’s a lie and a scam. Maybe some sort of registered charity or approval from a local mosque would help.

They are using one address to maintain their residency . Is that a scam ???? Also port of entry maintains the records of entering and exiting . It does matter how many stamps you put on your passport

We all know under this trudua's liberal government whole immigration system run on fake documents and scams:(.it was happening before 2014 secretly and now it is happening openly by Chinese and Indian immigrants and it is quiet visible in cities like Vancouver and Toronto. All of the businesses provide fake job letters to get them work permits and get a permanent residents.hopefully government become a bit strict on immigration and stop all of this mess.

The dude and all his clients are scammers. The real victims are the nation and its honorable immigrants and citizens. \nI applaud how the immigration department handled this case even though I still want to see him behind bars for a few more years and the penalty fines should’ve been higher. As a permanent resident based on merit who worked two years to get it, I feel like my work was worthless because people who simply bought their citizenship and can’t even speak English or have any basic merits to qualify for PR are all too common in Canada. I am actually shocked by people in the comment here. All talked like you knew a lot of things of immigration and citizenship. Loll but many don’t even know the first thing, the difference between permanent residence and citizenship. Immigration jail is referred to PR required living time in Canada. PR don’t have a Canadian passport and only citizens can have it. Once you are a Canadian citizen, you don’t need to live in Canada for a required time. China does not allow dual citizenship and that is why they try to scam the system to make up the living time in Canada.

Also thousands of Chinese underage children are brought here and left with 'fake relatives' all Living together even though not related. They attend Chinese 'schools' that are in office buildings mainly in Scarborough and North York. They come here to attend these 'fake high schools' so they can eventually take the IELTS English test to get into University. This is happening in Australia but we've become a soft target ,try doing the same thing in China and you'd be locked up for life if not executed .Anyone whose visited China will know that scamming is a way of life .You get into a taxi and you receive counterfeit change back , you buy 3Kg of apples and when you get home it only weighs 2.5 kg . And if you happen to get married to a Chines citizen you cannot become one and your visa has to be renewed every 3 years or revoked and you have to leave.

Dude made up to 10 million, probably more. He only had to pay 900,000 as a penalty and only did 2 years in jail. Well worth it in my opinion. Canadian justice system is a joke. Moral of the story is that crime does pay.  Ranks in 10 million, pays a 900K fine, and spends two years in Jail.  If he puts the 9.1 million left in investments while he is in jail and makes about 5% return, and then ends up out of jail with a little over 10 million again and ready to start another scam.

He should be fined for $2 million and given community service to clean public toilets for the duration of time that he spent scamming Canadians! That’s on top of his mandatory 5 year prison sentence. That’s would teach him to scam Canadians.

I've spoken to a few who have been scammed by Canadian immigration lawyers in BC! Fortunately for them nothing illegal actually happened! In fact, nothing happened at all and the lawyers just took the money! Have to be very careful who one trusts.

Canada's Justice system is weak and has no teeth. Better to have sympathy for the Devil than risk offending the bleeding hearts and artists. This guy only got a $900K fine and 2 years for scamming $10M, plus all the social benefits fraud he enabled... Are you kidding me?

Canada's justice was way too nice to him, I don't mean to be xenophobic but he should have been deported with his citizenship revoked, he scammed the CIS for years and still got out with 90% of the stolen money from his clients and only 2 years of jail time.

Why are they living in China but pretending to live in Canada? It seems like it is helpful to Canada if anything.
