What is very concerning is that Canada has fallen from 6th in the world in productivity to 29th! That is going to hurt the economy and the Canadian dollar for a very long time. Trudeau tried to base the Canadian economy on housing and government jobs. It wasn’t sustainable. The Canadian working class has been devastated and it won’t change anytime soon. I wish I could change it as I love Canada.

How can you force a flood of immigrants upon a nation and expect a net gain for that country economically? How does the open door accommodating host culture (Canada) expect to survive meaningfully without irrevocable demographic & cultural change?

Statistics show that half of the new immigrants in the photo op at the end will have voluntarily left Canada within the next 5 -10 years. Many to the US, and most of the rest back to their home countries, as they will find that Canada is not a place to come to to get ahead. Canada is over-hyped for sure. I know, I came to Canada and then left after 10 years to the US, where opportunities are far, far better. Save yourselves a decade of wasted time and come to the US straight away.

This is not a loophole. even if you come on a boat with no visa no passport, you will still be given asylum. You are just inciting general hatred towards immigrants in Canada just because you are dumb enough to not know the difference between asylum and immigration. Just do better.

This has always been the deal with immigration. A Canadian citizen of British roots will come to you in 2024 complaining about immigration that made his life miserable.. forgetting that his ancestors were immigrants themselves 200 yrs ago. I think Manitoba is the cheapest place to live. Atlantic Canada, houses might sound cheap but most of them very old. To get job also is difficult. More tax and less per hour salary in New Brunswick. But good only for seniors, who retired after working in Ontario or BC or other cities.

I get that there is a huge problem in Canada with immigration but this interviewer asks too many leading yes/no questions. Can't really get a clear sense of what the interviewees actually feel and have experienced as opposed to what the interviewer wants to hear.
