We just have to resume use of resources that were shut down by the appropriately initialed Barak Obama, Biden-Harris, and deep state bureaucrats in Washington. President Trump can accomplish this with our support. Shop carefully and please do not buy anything from Canada. Leave all Canadian goods to rot on the shelf. You won’t regret not making it to the Miss Hockey Puck festival in balmy Churchill Manitoba either. Other protective measures should be immediate cancellation of all visas and green cards held by Canadians and their deportation from U.S. territory.

I effectively spent a chunk of my childhood in America with relatives. I treasured these memories, but now all the feelings of wonder and happiness when thinking of my visits to America have faded. As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.

Canadian here: I don’t agree with the WSJ that DJT is a very smart man. I think they are just being diplomatic and putting the emphasis on the actions, rather than speaking ad hominem. I think he is crafty, but not well-informed, or logical. Even if he is smart, he is not wise, and there is a huge difference. If you read Proverbs, you’ll see he has the traits of a nabal, a fool. Plus, he is showing signs of cognitive decline. That’s not his fault, but he should be reassessed, and then those who CAN act, need the courage to do the right thing for the sake of the US and the world.

I have never felt more proud to be a Canadian, it’s a good feeling, I was almost brought to tears earlier thinking about it. Plus, he just stated that he's smart enough to suggest that Trump just put a 25% tax on Canadian goods for Americans but he also thinks that you are dumb enough not to realize that he just put a 25% tax on Canadians for American goods. I could not be prouder of my Canadian ancestors and more ashamed of America now. This is not how you treat your friends and neighbors we will get what we deserve some not me elected a fool and Putin's puppet.
