To anyone who owns a business in Canada that has ever been through an Audit with the CRA, you know these kids have no idea what they are doing and and way too much power. In my case they actually said they wont accept half my receipts because of the format they were saved in. I had two formats, and they said I could only pick 1 format for them to work with- so immediately from the start the AUDIT would be incorrect, I called it out and refused to pay the fake amount and they froze my bank account--with employees not getting paid. It is clearly irresponsible to operate a business in Canada under that kind of behaviour. Keeping a business in Canada is dangerous. I left. Dont even get me started on what my Doctor said about not treating my low functioning kidneys until they fail!

I’m first generation Canadian and went to live abroad in 2015, met my spouse, brought him back to Canada with me once I found a job in 2019but it took me a while and I had to go on welfare. It was tough going for 2 years and my partner only found a decent job that paid him fairly and has benefits after 4 years of working crappy jobs. We bought a house away from the city for cheap in 2020 before things got crazy and we’re very fortunate and happy with the services we have access to in the small towns around us. My only regret is starting our family a bit late but better late than never. Canada is a tough place to live but it was even tougher when I was abroad and I learned to appreciate Canada more. But Trudeau has got to go. We need conservatives in power again.

I am a South Sudanese Canadian who pretty much grew up in Kenya before travelling abroad. Life in Canada is not easy.. especially after Trudeau came to power.\nI make pretty good income in IT, but i pay like 30% in taxes...30% of my money is gone. I dont see it. I know others who pay more than me in taxes. The grocery is also high, as are the other bills. Rent is really high. In my city, an average house costs 800k. Even my cousins in the US are shocked at the prices of homes in Canada. My rent is much higher than the mortgages being paid by my cousins in the US. In places like Toronto or Vancouver, it is worse.\n\nI went back to Africa last time and saw so many opportunities, that i made my decision yo transition slowly back home. \n\nThe problem i find with most Africans is thinking of finding jobs in the government or private sector. If you are a Kenyan, or Ethiopian or South Sudanese, etc, think of creating jobs instead.\n\nThe opportunities for entrepreneurship in Africa are endless because alot of the problems in society have not yet been resolved. You dont have to have alot of capital to start farming for example. So many Africans have access to free ancestral lands that they can farm and make money from. But many want to spend time in the cities instead. A change of mindset is needed.

Bringing all these different cultures together… but if too many from one country show up, they’ll make a community too large that they don’t need to melt with the population. There are Chinatowns and Little Italys and whole Mexican communities, but ultimately everyone has to interact with everyone else. Allowing 300,000 Indians to get green cards every year and only 1,000 Norwegians would lead to the Norwegians merging well with the country, while the Indians would all move to one or two cities and make entire sections of the cities like small versions of their own country. Which is the last thing we want. Once an immigrant community gets enough power to be a voting block, things are scary, but once it has enough power that they start getting their own representatives and passing laws for the rest of us? Laws the look like laws they had back in their own countries… that led them to run from their countries in the first place? It’s a concern. We want people to adapt to the USA and not try to adapt the USA to them. Over time, the US does change due to the growing voting blocs. But that’s after generations of those immigrant populations getting larger, and their children being born and raised in the country they’ve adapted to. When I see a protest of Muslim immigrants burning pride flags, or Chinese and Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigrants who never bothered to learn English, I see problems with our immigration system. But the kids of the Arab immigrants will be more tolerant, and the Hispanic kids will have grown up in American schools. Most Chinese-American kids might speak some Chinese at home with their parents, but they’re worse at it, and their first language is English. It takes second Generation immigrants to really start meshing with America. But if entire school districts are all Indian, and every store, restaurant, and business in a whole town is Indian, then those kids won’t adapt to America. They won’t get bits of their home culture from their time at home and with their neighbors, while also getting bits of American culture from their classmates and other people around them. Nope. They’ll only be exposed to the first Generation who completely took over the area- IF, we allowed for unfettered immigration from the largest countries. It’s a fact that immigrant communities like to stick together. But if not enough people are in that community that you need to reach out to others around you, it helps expose you to the rest of America… Anyway! We see as traditional and hard-to-adapt parents have to deal with kids in the next generation who are more American, don’t follow the same customs and traditions as their parents, and overall just left more of their old culture behind. At the end of the day I think Canada and the US share a lot of common ground in a lot of areas. \nThe major difference in my eyes between Canada and the US is the competitiveness of each economy. The US is far more competitive and innovative than Canada. Canadians are more risk averse and seem to want to work for the government or a big company whereas Americans are more confident in themselves and would prefer to work for themselves and try to start a business for themselves - and importantly - want to have it become a large business. \nAs a Canadian I wish I would have moved down to the States and tried it out when I was younger. I'm too old to move there now... \nCanada still isn't a bad place but it is nowhere near as prosperous for the average person, or I should say the average worker, as it used to be. And Canada's economy seems to be deteriorating rapidly and being usurped by newly developing countries whereas the economic future of the US seems brighter due to the powerful innovation in the US. However the social situation in the US seems to be deteriorating more so than in Canada.

Nations competing for power and status has been what the history of the world has been mostly about. There are those that are obsessed with competition and are willing to die for power and status. This is the strongest motivation for the innovation, production and exchange of goods and services and is also why the best competitors cannot trust each other and feel the need to deceive, fool, cheat, spy and lie to each other and causes them to build weapons that can basically kill most of the life on this planet and damage most of the environment that can sustain life. \n \nMany nations are comfortable with their lower levels of power and status performance and do not think allocating more resources to move up the ladder will be of much benefit. \n \nPresently, if the economy is not growing, it is considered a failure. This type of thinking cannot go on uninterrupted on a finite planet with finite resources. There needs to be flexibility in the system for the economy to expand and contract and for a contraction to be considered normal and not a problem or a failure. The contraction needs to be just as prosperous and productive as the expansion. For this type of thinking to work, there needs to be some new economic theories and models developed along with some new types of money and financial systems based on economic sustainability not on economic growth and money inflation. \n \nI am sure there will be some Nobel prizes awarded to the academics, economists, corporate CEO's and business leaders and of course politicians and government officials that can figure out how to make a sustainable economy work and how not to devalue the nation’s money in the process.\n \nThe way this can begin and improve peace and fairness at the same time is when our business and government leaders along with our brightest and smartest among us including the most wealthy among us can learn to be much more truthful, honest and trustworthy and can start to understand that the wellbeing of others benefits everyone and is the bases for morality.

Canadian tax payers don’t want to pay for drug addicts to get more drugs the Liberal Canadian government have set up “safe injection sites” and “ methadone clinics” that basically give these addicts more drugs that are payed for with our tax dollars again these clinics and safe injection sites didn’t exist when I was a kid and since then the number home homelessness has increased as well as the number in population addicted to drugs. I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. Welcome to Canada.

Just more than a year living here in Canada realizations:\n\n1. So cold. Not everytime you can be so productive because the weather is a big hindrance\n2. As an immigrant, you will start from scratch. There will be great opportunities, sometimes really fast promotions or salary increase but workplaces are always short staffed that the amount of work is not worth it with how much the salary is. \n3. Some people still have preferences and you will really feel discriminated.\n4. People are polite, I am very impressed but so individualistic, it's sad. Growing in a country with a very collective type of community, you will really fee the void once you try living in Canada. you can't fully relate to everyone, be free to talk to them about everything because you rarely have common ground or understanding. I feel bad for the Canadians, its so hard to build relationships here in this country. Some of them might never experienced living that everyone of their schoolmates understand and laughs at the same meme because all of them have the same backgrounds and can relate.\n5. Housing prices are so high, it is so surprising for a country with big land mass but with very few population. Like how can be the house this expensive when winter is long, houses are wood and not stone and groceries, mall and other recreational areas are far?\n\nOverall, it's like a big scam going here in Canada. The biggest thing positive here is how powerful the currency is and the country being part of G7 and neighbor of US. Also it has very well preserved environment, scenic views. Aside those, others you can live without.

im from newfoundland. i can say that the weather is quite bad,but the people here are real nice and our accents are hillarious to other provinces,we have strength but not so much intelligence. we also have one of the few viking settlements in north america,lanse aux meadows. aswell as a supposed viking location known as point rosee. also i should mention that newfoundland is incredibly historical just to list a few things we have:beothuks,viking settlements,4 different anscestors being france england scotland and ireland hints the hillarious accent,we also have lots of prehistoric fossils dating all the way back to 570 million bc,we also were the place that started and was one of the main reasons the french and indian/seven year war was formed,oh and dont even get me started on how much resources we have. in total we have 60 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and so much wind you could probably power all of america using windmills from newfoundland. but i dont advise you live here,its more of a historian/paleontologists dream to visit this place overall on a scale without any biasty i rate nefoundland and labrador a solid 7/10 for its amount of good jobs but its high gas prices,bad premier,bad weather,freezing tempatures,sparse and rugged land,no biodiversity and a it being a good spot for a country to invade if going to war.its not looking good for newfoundland and labrador,ESPECIALLY NEWFOUNDLAND

Ngl I was really tempted by the hype but then I started thinking if the grasses are greener as advertised. Sure Canada is vast with beautiful sceneries and has stronger passport power, but to give up my job, my friends, and my roots and gamble it out there? 10 years ago, sure! Now 28 y/o, I'm starting to get stable into my job in another SEA country, it's unimaginable to start all over again. It's tiring frustrating and lonely.

what should be growing concern is allowing these people to spread in your country and start enforcing their culture and laws on others because mark my words THEY WILL! Ok. This guy had at least $15,000 to waste on lawyers but he left his home country to move where it is more expensive to live. Moron. He could have lived like a king on that much wherever he came from. Fix your own countries if you don't like them. Start a resistance movement and ask a foreign power to help.
