I think maybe the Canadian government is very reckless when it comes to managing crime in Canada. The government labels all Canadians as criminals and so denies most Canadians an education, a job, housing, the ability to travel, etc. With this attitude towards Canadians, it becomes very hard to advance career-wise in Canada. So Canada imports most of its educated people from abroad. This just demoralizes Canadians and investors and makes everyone think Canada is a hostile place to do business. Please don't misunderstand me, I am in favour of stopping criminals in Canada but why are women under 16 years of age profited from getting married? Why can't foreign educated Canadians get a job here in Canada? You get my point. I clicked on this expecting some right-wing Trudeau-bashing, and I was pleased to see it’s actually a fairly objective, non-partisan discussion. \n\nOne thing it doesn’t mention, though, is that conservative provincial governments in Canada are sitting on $70 billion in health care funding supplied by the federal government. They are deliberately allowing their health care systems to deteriorate. They have done the same with federal housing funding, to the point where the federal government is now making deals directly with cities to supply new housing. \n\nAnd, those rising housing prices, for better or worse, have made a lot of Canadian homeowners and landlords very wealthy. THEY certainly don’t want to see housing get more affordable.

Ok....I've lived in Singapore for the last 33 years, graduated from the University of Alberta with an Electrical Engineering degree. Worked 1 year in the arctic in 1989 then was offered a job in Singapore in 1990 and never looked back. There are MASSIVE engineering opportunities in Asia, its nothing like Canada. \nIf you have to deal with the Canadian government from outside the country your quickly realize that Canada is run by....children. I live in Ontario Canada. Generally; I vote Liberal. I voted Trudeau in twice.... now regretting it a little bit. He has done some good for me; but also bad.\nCanada started plummeting after COVID hit; and it has gotten worse. The main errors made by this government are with both the Liberals and Conservatives agreeing to 'grown' big corporates into HUGE monopoly corporates. TO compete with the USA. Due to this; we are now paying food prices through our ears!! Crazy. Also; there seems to be a level of corruption regarding the housing issue. No affordable housing. Not enough homes built. Only the rich can afford homes now. Government gets to tax that; and they love it! The rich class have more clout in voting for a government that aids them in making more and more money that they rob from the POOR house renters. The lower and middle class. As the Middle class in Canada is now becoming poor. The rich get much richer. This government is trying to bring in thousands of immigrants to stimulate the economy. But mostly; the immigrants have taken over all the lower Canadian jobs. We can't get them anymore. Because immigrants work cheap here; and sign onto contract deals with mega-corps that ensure they keep working for 2 years. Job entry level Canadians (are left without). There are also not nearly enough houses for immigrants to live in anyway! This government did not anticipate that we simply do not have enough homes for immigrants, nor Canadians alike!! What a fail. Healthcare is also failing huge... mostly thanks to the Conservatives who love to block almost every good healthcare BIll possible.

As a Canadian citizen (born and raised) those migrants from New York should move overseas (AKA our nextdoor overseas neighbour UK/EU). It's DANG expensive because Canadian dollar is not as strong as the big 4 (USD/UK Pounds/Europe Euros/Japan Yen). The only province that pays little-to-none taxes is the province of Alberta Canada.\n\nAll-in-all I advise migrants that live in US: DO NOT live in Canada because Canada is a sh*t country. Canada is NOT a good country to live in. \nThe last 30+ years between the constant increases in taxation. The criminally high cost of housing, high cost of commodities, i.e. food, clothing, fuel, utilities, and since we are now suffering from the ineptitude of Justin trudeau, more and more canadians are looking to leave the country, myself included, for the sake of our financial wellbeing, our peace of mind, and reprieve from the seemingly endless cycle of hurry up and wait for healthcare needs, personal matters, and dealing with multi tiered, multi layered government regulations for nearly everything. I personally have contacted consulates general of 12 different nations from the EU to the pan Asian region as well as the US, and will not be living in Canada by summers end 2022. Besides, if Canada was to do a complete 180 on its economic and political directions it will take a generation or more to correct what has been systematically dismantled over the course of the last 30 to 40 years.\n\nTo a university educated, well to do successful entrepreneur and skilled multi trades professional, such as myself, its NOT worth waiting for...

This upsets me a great deal! My father was a vet, who served , And Trudeau says no money is avaiable, My dad he died ok, and you can give money to a refugee,and shaft my mother who is a widow. We have homeless folks who suffer from Mental illness are seniors on the streets in Calgary alberta,and are waiting for a place to live .
