Dear CNN, \n The last time Trump went to Ruzzia to 'Negotiate' anything, he curiously left behind his Translation Team, his National Security Team, AND his Intelligence Team and walked into a room with Putin, (who had ALL those things with him). This resulted in D.J. getting pumped for info for around three hours. This 'Info' Putin has managed to use to great effect, as he entered into the Ukraine War, and now Donald wants to 'Negotiate' with Putin AGAIN on behalf of Ukraine?!? Trump doesn't even use the CIA for his geopolitical briefings, he actually uses 'Private Services' for his info, (at Taxpayer Expense) largely I'm sure, because anyone who is close to being Competent at what they do would 'KNOW' things, and would be correcting Trump, constantly, which he hates with a passion. On top of this there's Tulsi Gabbard who the Ruzzians themselves have publicly stated IS an Agent of theirs for the last Decade. It's for these reasons and more that I say D.J. is a Traitor to this Country for the love of money. \n How much more of an illustration does one require for a 'Worst Case' scenario?!? A 'Rogue Actor' taking control of the U.S. Government with full access to it's Nuclear Codes. It truly makes more sense to go Radio Silent with America, (for the time being at least) and co-ordinate with Mr.Zelenskyy as to how you will proceed. I would seriously be 'dragging my heels' on that Royal Invitation as well, as D.J. will completely misinterpret that to mean something entirely else! We in the U.S. are undergoing a COUP, plain and simple. No need to Soft Sell it going forward as Trump and Vance have knowingly delivered us to Ruzzia without so much as a single shot being fired. Real Americans are not self-serving. Real Americans are for serving others and bettering others because it’s the right thing to do. Our government does not know the difference between right and wrong. Those who support our current government, also, do not understand what it’s like to be selfless versus selfish. I’m a veteran, and serving others and treating others with respect and dignity has been engrained in me and I wish everyone could have the same morality. This is a choice in which too many have ignored.

This is exactly what Trump wants to destroy America!!!! to bring on techtocracy or maybe just to make his allies in Russia happy.. I've never understood why anybody thought that he gave a damn about anybody but himself or was capable of doing anything that would benefit the American people. As there is a genocide happening.. but at this point, I have to believe that even amongst the majority of his supporters he is not supported by the majority, major majority of the United States. The republican Congress has shown their true colors of being anti-constitutional . But they are redeemable. Do the right thing if you are in government if you have any power at all, stand up. Many of us stand with our strongest friend and neighbor. This is not what the people of the U.S. desire, it is not what we want either. We’ve never seen anything like this before. Hate to say it, but this could very well be the beginning of the end of what was once a great nation. Everyone thinks that this is Canada standing up, but what this means is that the Canadians with our economy that is 1/10 that of the US will be taxed at 25% on our imports, this is going to hurt canadians way more than the retaliatory terrifs will hurt the americans. This may also lead to an escalated response from the US exacerbating the effect. This guy has been working on Canada’s destruction for 9 years. He has given away Billions of taxpayers hard earned dollars to those of his choosing, as though it were his to give. He has been financially running Canada into the ground with the help of his financial advisor, Mark Carney. He has let The Canadian Armed Forces disintegrate for lack of funding, while choosing to refuse payment to NATO and those who help to defend Canada. He and his Government have been involved with billion dollar scandals and have become a major force of “Legalized Crime!” Now he wants to lay the blame for his poor leadership on the US. Unfortunately, many Canadians don’t see the truth! The Canadian News Media support the Government and suppress the truth by backing the Government Propaganda and by twisting the truth into untruth! It’s a childish game being played by an entitled child who doesn’t care about the people he was supposed to be leading. I would imagine, that if their Conservative Party Leader Poilievre wins the upcoming election, he will be able to straighten out many of the troubles that have been caused by the World Economic Forum Puppets and their agenda. I doubt that the Canadian People are in favor of the agenda of having nothing and being happy. What foolishness the elites expect people to believe. I’m sure that our Government will be able to get it all ironed out when Canada gets a leader that really cares about their people and not about those fake Carbon Taxes. It’s very interesting to watch what’s going on up in Canada! Interesting but sad, because they don’t have the ability to impeach a bad, unethical leader…

It’s a sad times our government are only worried about themselves . They are able to ruin the country and do all of these because the United states is filled with hatred .The people of the United States somehow think that Our president working closely with our enemy ( Russia ) Is some type of alliance with working towards segregation toward other Americans they feel are less superior to other Americans . Some sort of race war or segregation. How far will we as Americans let this go on without stepping up.\nOr is this what the American really want.\nWill we stand up to this nonsense and hatred?

Trudeau is extremely impressive in government actions and in communicating as simply as possible to the people of USA, to explain what is happening and to implore that they pressurise their rotten Trump government. This is an attack on a very friendly government with 25% tariffs on everything but just 10% on China?? This is an attack to try to destabilise Canada to help in taking the country over. It won't work and everyone will suffer or lose.

1/2: Myself and the saner half of the US that read, understood, and voted against Proj 2025 understands why they need to levy retaliatory tariffs especially as a Michigander who's lived less than 4 hours from Canada all her life, who has family in Quebec and Ontario, and is a job-seeking policy professional and international trade nerd who now cannot in good faith seek a job in the federal government. We have been looking and still do look to Canada as a model quite a bit and love Canada and Canadians to pieces. We Michiganders especially in the central and eastern UP and Detroit and Ann Arbor area are friends, coworkers, and family of Canadians. Some are even dual citizens. It is sad that it's come to this. \n\n2/2: I still personally just can't wrap my head around how a trade deal Trump put together himself and called the best (the USMCA in question) is all of a sudden so bad. Logic doesn't work with these types of people... I loved the speech of PM Trudeau- but one thing he kept saying is wrong. Our government did not do this - One man did this via executive orders. He does not care who he hurts. He does not care about the American people. Trump only cares about himself and his relationship with Mother Russia and Putin. TRUMP doesn't want peace. He is thriving on the chaos that he and Musk are initiating. Trump needs to be impeached immediately but our Congresmaen and women, who are supposed to represent their populations are too scared to do anything other than what Trump tells them to do. Our Government is supported to have a Check and Balance function, but none of the branches have the guts to stand up to TRump. I really believe that Trump's American first policy is to end up as America ALONE.

As an American and a Trump supporter, I agree with these tariffs, but only equal to the tariffs other countries charge the United States on our imports. I do not agree with imposing this on our brothers and sisters to the north. I’m speaking of the good people of Canada. I have traveled to Canada and crossing the border was just like crossing into another state. Yes, there was a border gate which there should be, but I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I hope our government can work this out very quickly and stop this foolishness. But to countries like China and Europe the United States should charge a reciprocal tariff as to what you charge us on our import. It’s only fair. Why are we paying an exuberant tariff for our goods entering your country and you expect to pay nothing with your goods entering ours. Most Americans, love Canada and love our Canadian brothers and sisters, we’ve always supported each other in world, wars, and other attacks against our respective countries. I pray this is resolved quickly, and then we can once again live United and in harmony.

Canada has been the preferred access point for criminals and terrorist for the past 4 years. I have a place right on the border and 8 months ago I caught a young East Indian who already had several felony in the states and had been shipped back to India in previous years. How the heck did that man get a student visa to come to Canada. There are 50,000 East Indian Students missing in Canada who simply used the visa to get into Canada and run the border. This is what we’re are dealing with. I live on the border and I’ve never seen this much traffic. Border guards are simply picking their targets and having to ignore others. So I ask u how do u think I feel about my property being used as an illegal highway bcz of your government incompetence. As someone who also works in native communities throughout Canada I’ll also Trudeau words fall like shit from ass. The drugs have ravaged native communities to the tune of 3/4 of the young ppl. This is just a sampling of what happens when you elect an official do the highest office in the land while this individual Donald Trump is Holden s official position as dog catcher is out of his ability. The issue on fentanyl, is a intoxicant that will not and cannot be defeated. This is a total failure on the government's inability to protect its own citizens that is their number one job.. The only solution that I have heard that remotely makes any sense is the Cato institute conclusion that the wisest route to go is completely legalization with age restrictions. While this may not be the desired outcome it's the only one that I see that makes any sense whatsoever it seems that when a solution like this offered so many individuals who have no gravitas in this matter will come back to the same nonsensical bulshit that they're going to stop the flow that is absolutely impossible. However we will continue on that course and we will continue to fail. The Cato Institute was initially funded by the Koch brothers a extremely conservative organization that gets together a group of the brightest and the best in trying to determine what is the best solution.the Koch brothers were the group that invented the tea party I would love for anybody who disagrees with this post. I would like anybody who thinks that this is a far-fetched idea ,all I ask is that if you disagree with the finding that it should be legal with age restrictions if you disagree I would like to hear a solution that you have in mind that you think is better than the Cato Institute finding. I am under the impression that you do not have anything that remotely resembles a solution to this terrible problem. Right off the bat, with uality control, you'll stop hundreds of thousands of deaths. All of the issues that are being dealt with are just so screwed up because we've already been through this before. After making a constitutional amendment to ban the manufacturing of alcohol it was reversed and I hope that the country realize that we cannot win this battle with the same mindset. The only reason why fentanyl is such a dangerous intoxicant is because there's no quality control. Also the cartels are not affected negatively \nBy allowing the government deal with this problem. the end result would be not only do you save lives but you also have put a very negative Spike through their heart of the cartel in the pocketbook. The DEA does not remotely live up to its mission statement and has failed every year since that policy was put in place. Canadian government has made Canadians paralyzed for decades with high tax rates, made worst business decisions emptied citizens pockets to fill outsiders and their own. Wow, articulate strong talk, no lies, no propaganda, no bluster, none of the total and complete unrelenting bullshit we have endure on a daily basis from the sociopathic delusional asshole that currently occupies the White House. It should be no surprise that our leadership chooses to blame all of our problems on someone else, because that's exactly what they do every day. We have a drug problem, it's because of Canada and Mexico. We have an immigration problem, likewise Mexico and Canada. We have a deficit problem, that's because of the EU and NATO. Our problem is our government, specifically Republicans who won't accept the simple truth: you want to solve problems you have be disciplined and smart. You have to spend money to fix your problems instead of blaming some else and trying to get them to pay for it. You pay to solve your problems instead of giving huge tax cuts to people who don't need them. You stop lying to your people. You want to change the trade imbalance? Build products that other countries want at a price that makes sense. The EU has no laws that prevent American car manufacturers from selling their cars in Europe. American car companies make shitty cars. They make cars that are too big, that don't make sense for European where streets can be very small and gas is very expensive. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. US agricultural products are laced with poisonous chemicals that are outlawed in the EU because they kill people. Our governmeent doesn't give a shit about that because to grow healthy food means you have to cut profits, almighty dollars, instead of grow things that the rest of the world will accept. We have an idiot for president who thinks he knows more than anyone else and an idiot party that won't tell him the truth. This is going to cost us big time. We are going into recession, probably a long one because we don't have real leaders and the president on his best day is nothing more than a reality TV personality, and not a very entertaining one at that.

As an American who was born here and live here for over 50 years, I am so ashamed of this government, the republican politicians and some of the democratic politicians. The MAGA cult is overwhelming our everyday lives in combination with Trump, Vance and Musk vast amounts of lies, deceit, disrespect for the low-middle class American families, cozying up to the fascist dictator Putin, turning your back on our best ally Canada by instigating these ridiculous tariffs, and a whole host of other atrocities that have occurred in the past few weeks. Let this sink in... in the past few weeks! What is it going to be like in a few months or by the end of this term? With the way it's going, we're going to be damned lucky that we're going to be here at all, otherwise Trump and Putin can rule over a nuclear decimated scorched earth. We had been saving for a house and making future plans, but now, all of that—especially spending—is on hold. Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. In fact, it's the United States job to keep illegal drugs and immigrants out of the US and they are doing a poor job of it and need someone else to blame. Mexico could retaliate in a way that could flood the US with illegal drugs and immigrants and refuse to repatriate its citizens back into Mexico. The rest of Central and South America could do the same in support of Mexico. He has bankrupted many small businesses by not paying them knowing that they do not have the money to go to court. I can't wait until he screws over the government of Saudi Arabia with one of his shady business deals. Anyone remember what happened to Khashoggi for just authoring a bad article on Saudi's Leaders. What I have loved most about the stupidity of Trump, his government and his supporters is that it has brought Europe and the commonwealth together. It’s made citizens of each country unite together at a time that there was so much division especially in Europe.
