They left Punjab to pursue a better life, but they want to live like are still in Punjab. \n\n- They scam their way in. Banks in India will lend them money to come to Canada, they buy their IELTS results. 99.9% of all the students I dealt with who got caught cheating on their exams were from India.\n\n- The people we are receiving in Canada are members of a separatist movement. They have often blocked roads to protest against India, because they want Punjab to be separated from India, and turned into a new country called Khalistan. I highly doubt they would all move there if that actually happened.\n\n- Going back to the entitlement: They often abuse the human rights nature of Canada. They sued the government for the right to ride bikes without helmets, or to not be forced to used safety equipment in construction sites, and for the right to walk around carrying a dagger, because it’s a “religious item”. Canada also for some dumb reason accepts their arranged marriages as a real one. Any person from anywhere in the world has to undergo an invasive scrutiny of their relationship, being forced to provide private conversations, and witness. Punjab people need none of it, and Punjab fathers are selling their daughters to strange men, so the family can move to Canada together.\n\n- Statistics Canada often talk about how our population is aging: However, they do not disclose how many of these aging population is due to Indian nationals bringing their parents and grandparents with them. If we got a million Indian people in the past years, that would mean around extra 4 million people over 50 years old. That’s 10% of the entire population. \n\n- They are scammers. You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. They are landing in Canada with no money, and buying houses right away, because they have a network of people forging financial documents, and the also have people infiltrated in banks to approve these processes. Not me saying, that was national news. \n\n- They are extremely racist. They will openly tell you they only rent/hire/do business with Punjab people. Now, even the buses are driven by Punjab people, is insane. And you can tell they are new comers, because some of them can barely speak English. But is a well-known fact: Once one of them is in, they will make sure to bring in as many of their countrymen as possible, and only them. The DEI department of my company approved a Punjab manager, and now more than half of the staff is Punjab. English is no longer spoken in the hallways. \n\nSo these are just few of the complaints I have about them. I moved to Canada for a better life, and I have fully adapted to this country, and I’m resentful that this government allowed these people to slowly turn Canada into India. I was sold the idea of diversity, and I fell for it. I’m the minority of the minorities. Despite being a full Canadian now, every single day I think more and more of just going home. According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. We cannot continue with this.....every time one of these places destabilizes they end up on the CBC waiving their Canadian passports demanding the Canadian government do something to get them out. \n The Author of the video is correct. IT isn't about hate or xenophobia...Its about making sure that people who come here want to be here, Are taken care of properly, contribute to Canada and its development, integrate into out society and culture, and do not make life harder for the people - ALL OF THEM - already here.

I’m a 68 yr old female Senior (caregiver) living in my car because my only option after a 3 yr wait was BC Housing near the DTES … these are SLUMS that we are supposed to be Thankful for … most of these buildings answer to no one because they get their funding from a number of sources … the STAFF are allowed to treat the Residents anyway they like, with No Conscience… if Canada can’t supply decent housing to their Citizens then they should STOP IMMIGRATION… most new immigrants are treated better financially then the citizens who live here …. The building I lived in is called PENDERA at Pender St. & Beatty Street in Vancouver… it ALL looks good from the outside so people really want to move in …. That’s when the trouble starts … I lived in a RAT INFESTED APARTMENT FOR 6 yrs!!!

Why is Pierre afraid of the immigrant issue? I think - that they will all be labeled of being racists because they don't want other cultures and more people in the country. That's what it is. OR maybe - Conservatives are trying to figure out a plan to deal with this and aren't showing their cards at the moment. LIberals want the votes and more people to live off the government tit but we need more skills trades, more hands on - more doctors and nurses!! If the immigrants have that background and actually have the education and compassion then bring them in. If not, then sorry, there's no where for you to go. Part-time burger flippers, coffee pourers, cashiers, etc... are excellent jobs for teenagers to learn and earn money and move up from there. Back in the late 70s and 80s into the early 90s, retail jobs were an excellent supplement income for a family and or single person because it was worth it - today, not so much.

I think there is not much to do in Canada apart from snow and forests. I think in the past only prisoners were sent there?\nBut I heard this country pay you very well if you move in there, because they cannot find people that want go there actually. 4:54 That's just it. Canada allows a lot of immigration, because there are a lot of entry-level and service jobs that Canadians don't want, or are in a position that they don't have to take them. As I understand it, it all goes back to the province of Quebec. to get Quebec to join Canada, education was made a provincial thing, not a national thing. This means that there is no national education policy in Canada, unlike a lot of comparable nations. This means it is very difficult to plan, and educate the work force to fulfill anticipated needs. The solution? Put it on the list! Immigration Canada has a list of jobs that Canada needs to fill. If you would like to immigrate to Canada, and you have work history or education for something on the list, you're in! This is much easier that investing in Canadians and planning 5-10 years ahead. If we need more nurses...put it on the list! If we need more engineers...put it on the list! If we have too many already...take it off the list. A lot of immigrants are disappointed when they get here, because from the outside, Canada seems great. Yes, it is a very safe country, and has a lot going for it. But people may be surprised to find that they have been allowed into the country, to fill jobs no one else wants. And it's a lot of work to move here from another country, so immigrants tend to get stuck in a bad situation.

Very kidding same reason still used by Canadian employers for job seekers without local working experience today when moving to Canada more than 20 years ago. Think twice if you want to move to Canada for better life without job. This is not a country for many professionals. They will use same excuses used back to 20 years ago to reject you: no local work experience, no Canadian degree, etc. The truth is no opportunity. When you move to a country you have to adapt to the country's laws. If you don't want to follow it you are free to leave. I have nothing against foreign students, but what catches my attention is that I couldn't do that in India if I wanted to stay longer or move there. I couldn't just start protesting in front of a government building. The students protesting in PEI might or might not be granted what they want, it's really anybody's guess, to say they have a good chance at getting what they want.

I’m Indian and I will be damned if I say I agree with you. This shouldn’t be allowed. Follow the rules. This mob culture has to stop. I work my ass off and I can’t get by. My industry went on a strike for a year and I couldn’t get a survival job. These students can move from one province to another any time they want. How is this possible. Isn’t there any law to prevent them moving from the place they came to “study” in the first place and move to another location just for PR? I waited two years to get my police verification done from all the countries I worked before my immigration application got approved. These days it’s like the immigration ministry is handing over permanent residency like candies. More over if I go to a shop ask for help I get answers in a language I don’t speak or follow. Why are we allowing this? Why can’t these guys speak English or French? Why am forced to learn Punjabi? If these guys want to create a ghetto for themselves why are they doing it here? Who’s allowing all this? What’s happening to those English language tests? I don’t care if they fulfill any of those departments that require eligible workers. I like visiting the US, but don't want to move there. I like the people however cities are not safe. My cousin told me that his small town had 110 murders (WV) . I had just visited Montreal. They have 4.5 million people and had 28 murders that year and were complaining that it's getting crazy. We live longer than Americans and deaths at birth are less. If I had to move to the US, I'd buy a gun. In Canada, to protect my home, I just put on the outside light and lock the door. However, I usually forget to lock the door when I go to bed.

No one called them Palestinians and no one was demanding for there to be their land. \n\nCalling themselves an adapting the term Palestinian was simply a PR move. \n\nFor the Arab Nations to adopt this terminology, is really a testimony to the fact that the Arab Nations don't want this radical brand of Islam in their countries. \n\nThe so-called Arab AKA Palestinians are in fact a more radical branch of Islam that is associated with Iran's version of Islam not the generally accepted practiced Islam amongst the Arab states and their affiliations. \n\nThis is why Egypt doesn't want them, this is why Jordan won't take them back. Because historically speaking most of these Arabs came from Jordan. This is why Saudi Arabia doesn't want them. \n\nThey don't want their extremism to be brought into their culture, into their land and causing problems there.

I just met a couple from Canada. They see the flaws but won't move to the US. It's also expensive to live here but you have to pay for other expenses like health care out of pocket. They don't want to live somewhere that every nut job can have guns, where schools are failing to teach basics and are not safe places for kids. I feel like many Americans will point out the splinter in the eye of other countries, and yet ignore the rafter in America's eye. People from other countries don't fear America because it has the most powerful military, they fear it because insanity continues to grow and common sense continues to die.

@Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. As I hope you know that, in that in Canada a city doesn’t usually choose newcomers directly factors of, ethnocentrism, pricing, etc are.  \n\nIt was or used to be that newcomers in many cases had to move to less populated centres i.e. in Saskatchewan/Manitoba etc, to help make the place more profitable and big as born Canadians usually didn’t want to move there. As your worst nightmare, me Canadian born Indian with a more Canadian accent than yours, yet I speak French yet am from the GTA. You should dig deeper instead of the old squeaky rhetoric repeating, you forget to mention Gurudwaras do have langar known as no charge meal, but you have potential to be known and yet ask people if they or why they are or aren’t willing to integrate. Any colour fair game, aside from asking Ukranian displaced on temporary refugee visa, not bc they are lacking melanin protection, but because their country is unsafe from aggression by a crazy. However, social programs are missing or drug users not willing to take up a program for various reasons. Maybe through proper fact checking, explain how India has over 200 ethnic and linguistic communities and why only one group is province, ethnic/attitude is prominent in Canada.  \n\nAlso do explain that there were many that were here in late 1800’s along with Chinese and Irish making railroads dragged over by British, the same British who invaded lands of established native nations people in Canada. I went for an academic internship in 2004 during my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering to University of Texas Austin. A professor offered me a position in his research lab for master's, so it was more like studying in US free of cost and earning monthly stipend for doing research. \nI never considered this as permanent move but quality of research I did in US, the opportunities and salary I received I could never imagine that in Canada. I am still in touch with my university friends in Canada work at low wages on obsolete tech stuff, with no innovation at work. Many of them want to move to the US, but for 10+ years they worked on outdated stuff, so they cannot compete with the talent pool in US. Even in 2004, I remember healthcare being bad and I keep hearing stories about how worse it has become. In US, I am covered by a good health insurance, I had surgeries for myself and my kids, and we never had any issues. Honestly, I can no longer trust Canadian healthcare with insane wait times for my kids safety.

Is it racist to say that if you want to live with your own ethnicity, move to a place where your preferred ethnicity lives in. If people want to live in places where there are more Europeans or anything else, move to cities that has more Europeans or anything else. Everyone has the freedom to chose to live wherever they want.

I'm not against immigration, but in moderation. My best friend in grade 6 was and Indian girl, that was a long time ago. I have friends of all backgrounds, but we need equality and diversity spread out! We can't have immigrants piled into one area taking it over and having all the other cultures leave. That's not proper immigration or diversity. When my child's school has to recognize Ramadan and other ethnic holidays, it's not right. WE didn't move to India, they came here. THEY must adopt our cultural ways in public. Wear what you want, but don't force my city, my children to adopt your ways.

If we moved to any country you would live by their rules. They move to Canada they do and wear what they want. We have our RCMP that look like India police with turbans. They get to carry their religious knives, they don't have to wear helmets while riding a motorcycle. Then you get women wearing the full garbage bags. I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

Muslims and people of color move to White countries and then they want to take control of your country and call you White Supremist/Racists. Africa would not allow White people to talk about Black politicians or Muslims etc.

Western countries are on a downfall. Both rich and poor alike, but mostly poor, move to Western countries which the infrastructure cannot support for the growing population and diminishing resources. The new First World societies are probably going to be countries that are developing, but not outright destitute or in war. This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I see many homes once occupied by a family go for sale and become an apartment building for students and/or immigrants. So many people going into the homes that traffic increased many times , moving trucks any time of the month (they must rent by day or week?) and they really pack them in. A 4 bedroom home can see 10 people in it, they don't use the driveway, it sits empty in most of the homes that sold for this purpose . They are generally quit and very inconspicuous except for the people in and out all the time with backpacks on. Let me say it, u didn't do ur research before moving abroad, abroad life is not for lazy ppl who don't want to work on their own. Didn't u know how was the life abroad wen u have ur relatives there. And the positions u r saying are voluntary for parents, it's not a job,it's called lunch duty. You didn't try to find how life, society is there. Who asked u to hire a basement, looks like that u weren't financially ok therefore u had to hire a basement. Ppl have nice houses there. Madam, ur qualification was not suitable to get a job in canada if u r in teaching. Ur english has to be iltes level. I have relatives who are in IT and have very good salary, live in big houses.
