Most of what was reported here is true but the housing market and rents have skyrocketed all over the world since the Chinese government F'd everyone with Covid-19. At first there were supply chain issues with all goods so businesses said we have to increase prices. Once supply issues were back to pre-Covid-19 levels businesses did not & will not lower their prices on goods because , we as a society do not take matters into our own hands and boycott products\\company's etc. Now obviously we cannot boycott all goods & services but the majority we could and that is the only thing that would cause action among companies to lower bank fees, fast food prices, grocery prices, cell plan costs etc.\n\nWith that said, you picked two of the highest and most sought after city's in CAN to rent & or try to buy a home. Although rent & home prices have really jumped all over the world in the past 3-4 years, more affordable (still not cheap) housing, compared to Toronto, Vancouver, can be found all across CAN. My sister & brother in law found an apartment to rent in Winnipeg without any difficulty or waiting. \nThey are immigrants and entered on her student Visa & he is a computer programmer. They are not struggling to eat but they have to follow a tight budget since she cannot work but 20 hours a week as a student and they have 1 kid, a car payment,utilities, cell plan, etc. They have filed for their PR and I suspect they will be approved since his job is in demand and she will graduate from College there in 4 months or so.\n\nOne thing I noticed, when my wife & I went up to get them settled in, is that the government (national & local) taxes you all pay out of the wazzoo on everything! I think the only thing that wasn't taxed was air. ? I know most of this is due to the healthcare system, because the money has to come from somewhere. Don't misunderstand, I like the CAN healthcare system better than the US's, because the insurance companies stick it to us as well, but both have their pluses and minuses.\n\nCAN does have a much easier system for immigration. If my sister & bro in law could have come here we would have been glad for them to stay with us and help them get started but the backlog is just so long to wait (10 + years). I also LOVE CAN because you uphold your laws and DEPORT illegal immigrants instead of letting them pour into the Country, by the millions each year, and the majority eventually trickle into the population illegally, who get jobs & pay no taxes (other than sales tax) no driver's licenses or vehicle insurance and get 100% free medical and hospital care anytime while legal US citizen's pay high premiums, into social security and their income taxes each year.

I'm a truck driver, my old workplace was about 80% Indian. The break room smelled like fish everyday it was horrible!!! Jokes aside there's a lot of Chad Indians, they come here to work and that's ALL they do. Literally nothing else, just work, pray and sleep. Nothing wrong with that but companies have started to expect you to work for nothing and work like 65 hour weeks because they have an endless stream low-income workers from India to do it. I don't blame them for the lack of good gigs but I do blame companies for exploiting newcomers to Canada and modelling their business on the fact they can hire temporary workers

The real reason is not a race problem it's that the majority of these people have a religion that is cursed, God blessed Canada and the USA because we were considered a Christian nation, well thanks to the liberals this country has become predominantly secular and these people have millions of gods their religion and beliefs and they bring their cursed temples and wicked practices here that bring demonic activity. Jesus is king and all other religions and beliefs have ruined what God had blessed and has become a curse because we don't fight it most people reject the truth of the Bible well it's written all throughout the old testament of what happens when people reject God he allows curses on them and ultimately it brings curses on a nation. So Canada by choosing your liberal government to endorse your sin has been your ruin. Repent and come to Christ before judgement starts.

As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. I don't mind that though we are used to it. I don't hate him but can he make a video for other countries as well ? how Many Chinese students who didn't even past the language test come to Canada to study and drives expensive cars even without working a single day ? how you bring a immigrant under refugees status from any country to match labor shortage, but who also has 5-7 kids which means you get 1 guy benefiting Canada with 5-7 person who will take benefit from Canada?.....

Their sole objective was seeking to get hold of the perpetrator, and exact their revenge upon him for this atrocity. \n \nWhilst being detained by churchgoers shortly after the attack, the 16-year-old assailant can be distinctly heard saying on a video clip that he had stabbed the bishop, because he’d “insulted my prophet”. Therefore, those few words, indisputably designate that this assault was premeditated: and, therefore an act of terrorism. Yet, in spite of him saying these words, the usual suspects have emerged in the past few days downplaying affairs. Some of them (all Muslims) are querying how authorities had been so quick, and eager to call this an act of terrorism.\n \nNeedless to say, it’s an absolute certainty that in the coming weeks that the ‘system’ will surreptitiously maneuver, and manipulate circumstances to cast this goon as being a mere aberration within Australia’s Islamic community. Rather, than him being reflective of a significant component of the Muslims here. To garner the reality that there’s no shortage of Muslims in Australia whose prime allegiance is to Islam, merely requires perusing photos, and video clips appearing in media coverages depicting Muslims congregating outside Mosques. Most of them will be clad in some form of traditional attire, praying to Allah. What this all amounts to is to prove there are no shortage of Muslims here in Australia (and, indeed, Britain, France, and Belgium/Holland, or Canada, and the US), who consider themselves answerable to the teachings of the Quran, before the society they’re in. \nIn the near future, we will be constantly bombarded with the line that this 16-year-old terrorist is not representative of Muslims, which of course is correct. However, the most ominous concern is that, there needs only to be a couple of hundred fundamentalist Muslims in the country who hold extreme views to wreak havoc. \n \nTragically, mass intakes of people from a bevy of non-Anglo/European cradles over the past 30-35 years has radically transmogrified Australia’s two largest metropolises of Sydney, and Melbourne. So much so that, within the short space of a bit more than three decades (1990), Anglo/Europeans have been reduced from being 94 percent of these cities’ populations, to now becoming the ‘collective’ minorities: at around 47 percent. \nTo ascertain this glaring reality, merely requires travelling on any train, at any part of the day that runs through the corridor of 20 stations between Burwood/Strathfield, Granville and down to Liverpool. By doing so, you will quickly realise that people of non-Anglo/European extractions will account for at least, 80 percent of all those people you will observe, either standing on platforms or travelling in carriages. \n \nFor the record, of the 400,000 net-increase of Sydney’s population in the decade up until February 2024, 280,000 of them have been immigrants (either permanent or temporary) who are sourced from non-AE, and non-Christian societies. And, moreover, with these immigrants forming culturally-insular enclaves/colonies.\n \nSo, it now comes to pass all these years after Enoch Powell, and Jean Raspail, warned us of would eventuate with dismantling borders, concludes with scores of acts of vile terrorism from 2004, being perpetrated by rabid Islamic fundamentalists. But, in spite of it being patently obvious to any halfwit that, mass-non-discriminatory immigration programs have destroyed the cultures of the host-societies, politicians in Britain, Canada, NZ, and of course, Australia, are totally committed to perpetuating large scale immigration intakes.

LOL Cause people get here and they're like WTF? It's cold, and expensive! Why'd we come here? The only reason why I haven't left is because I can't afford to :P I left my 1 bedroom in Surrey of all places in 2022 that cost $1550/mth and they listed it at $2100 the day I gave notice.

I'm not a huge fan of massive immigration but I honestly think the reason some of the white Canadians are homeless is because they don't want to work. Indians who come here all support each other and they're willing to do anything to make money; pizza delivery, 7/11 clerk, etc...they live in small spaces...many of them together and within a few years of hardship they save enough money to buy homes. This is not the case with some of the Canadians or Quebecors for that matter. They make fun of immigrants but are unwilling to do dirty jobs and would prefer to live off welfare....once I told a white bum who seemed in good health to go and find work, he got very aggressive. Anyway, everything is relevant!!!

I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Crime is having a runaway effect because of the environment they come from, fights break out at intersections, parking lots, backyards, front yards, etc. This is reckless and embarrassing for all Indians, especially us Punjabis. This goes unreported because of how vindictive these people are because of whichever town/city they came from. There are also rumours that these female students are home wreckers so there’s another layer. \n\nMy solution: \n1) Stop immigration, these people are giving our entire community a bad rep when we’ve worked so hard to get to where we are in this country. Return to skills based immigration, not WEF-based. \n2) Cap the international student populations tied to the census - this opens up opportunities for international students from ALL countries and walks of life. \n3) International students cannot be allowed to work - Canadian students First, Canada First. \n4) After graduation, give students 1 year to find a job in their field of study. If they can’t find one, send them back and learn skills and then that’s their only back to Canada. \n5) if they do make it to immigration, we need a better system than just a simple memorization test - have them demonstrate their command of the English language, look at their value added and potential for the future. \n6) Conservatives need to be a part of the solution. A lot of the comments are just complaints and complaining will get these folks voting red vs voting blue each and every time. That guy commenting about no temples in Timmins will just push these people to the liberals and this is what JT is counting on. We need to show these folks what being Canadian is about so that they leave Brampton and assimilate. I’ve introduced countless folks to Pierre and have changed their outlooks, y’all need to do the same. Show them that they’re being used by the liberals and that’ll get them going, cause no one wants to be used. \n\nAs always, TNC reports it as it is and that’s what I’m here for. Thank you!

I'm all for immigration to help a country grow however, what Canada has done is first, bring in too many at once and not INTEGRATED the new comers. \n\nFact is, if you want to go to a country because of their freedom and job opportunity then don't come and try to change the country into what you just fled from!!\n\nAnd this is what has happened. Canada has allowed our laws and even speech change to cater to a foreign culture and political idea. Canada became great for what it was and ways it was not for socialism and other country politics. We've got road sign in Pakistan and some in Mandarin and some in blah blah blah. Too many languages creates divide and this is the other issue. Our own country, a country that designates french or English has signs and communities designated in foreign languages. This is not acceptable and is a cause creating divide. You come, you learn the language and INTEGRATE! We loved our country, you wanted to come for what our country has so don't try to turn it into the country you fled! And stop alienating the people who were here before you. \n\nSo, these are the two BIG ISSUES Canadians complain about. Rightfully so. \n\nI myself don't live in Ontario but find Alberta has become a foreign country and I feel like I am in danger now in my own lands. Integration is so important, and Trudeau bringing in millions in a short time line did not integrate but now caused a great deal of violence and many new comers confused and hateful to Canadians when they simply don't understand that what they have done is not integrate but are overtaking and we feel at war with them.

And what the most I hate when Punjabis truck drivers don't obey the laws of traffic. They have this nature of not respecting the laws back their home country and when they come here they do the same here. That is why I hate Liberal government because they brought all the garbage of third world countries here. The government should put a cap on Indians now because the ratio of Indians to other races are 2 to 10. I like to see people from all the races come here equally. Punjabis have power in this country because they are in all levels of government and use their powers to bring more and more Punjabis. Just wait and see more and more will come.

Harrison, you should have driven around some of the neighbourhoods. Since Trudope opened the gates - all the beautiful middle-class neighbourhoods have filled in with international students. Indians have bought up all the houses across the country and then rent them out to students. Rentals with 5-8 cars and garbage overflowing. Of course, a lot of students are nice people but the big problem is young guys who are just trying to get a PR card - they drop out of school or get jobs trucking etc - they have 10 of their friends in one rental and they all drive jeeps, jettas and chargers. The amount of racing around and noises mufflers can drive you crazy. And I’m indian - but because I’m female and not Punjabi - they don’t even want to look at my face when I talk to some of them. Some are so disrespectful. How dare you come here and treat Canadians like they are beneath you! I’m sick of this situation but it’s hopeless, we are FUBAR’d!! All cause of Trudope!!!!

In my city (Windsor, Ontario) we have a college and university that have literally set up “recruitment” centres IN INDIA. I don’t blame the foreigners for coming here, they do it legally and honestly a bunch that I have talked to are struggling themselves.. I’m talking like, 12 guys to a small shared living space (which also negatively effects rent prices.. especially where I live) They expect to come here for a better life but they’re just thrown in the mix with those of us who are already drowning. \n\nThe government just stopped caring about its citizens and it’s really scary. They take the immigrants money and our taxes and they’re content.\nA friend was asked to leave a job fair because it was over capacity.. getting even a minimum wage job is damn near impossible now. \n\nAlso, question, I heard the reason that all minimum wage jobs (fast food restaurants, Walmart etc.) are only hiring Indians is because the government reimburses the employer half of their wage. I tried to do some research on this but couldn’t find anything.. is this true and being kept hush-hush? If it is, we need more people to speak out on this.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. It’s not the screw goes right back to Trudeau. All the cared about was making money and that is it charging immigrants so much you know what I mean and getting money from the government but it’s not going I believe to the migrants it’s not even going to the Canadian citizens. Mr. Trudo does not care. He only cares about himself and how to make a quick buck in the hell with anybody else. They should’ve been clear when you made a commercial and made it look beautiful on how you can kill yourself if you’re suffering depression. There was a young girl in her 20s, that’s a kid and because she had depression and why did she have depression? She was homeless and she had diabetes. She had no money to buy the diabetes medication so she killed her self with the assistant help of Canada. They were murdering people and then inviting immigrants in, how does that make sense?. And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. Oh my God warm nice beautiful countries, I’m not country is sorry states you’ll probably be best for you to transfer over to somewhere there cause it’s just so many beautiful, warmer climate, and if people are used to coming from a warmer climate, it would just make more sense to me just an idea. I’m half of Canadians. I’m embarrassed of what is happening to the Canadian people under Trudeau and I’m embarrassed of what’s happening to the immigrants under Trudeau. Mr. Trudo needs a nonconfidence vote and sodas, the NDP, the broken laws both of them so both of them need to go make some very clear that a certain laws are broke doesn’t matter if he joins with an NDP throat people need to know the rights of Canada please Canadians look them up look up your rights, read them if you don’t understand them maybe it’s time we start having private groups and not on Facebook because Facebook rats. Trying to find a job here in Canada is insane. i dont live near a big city by any means, but all low skill, fast food/grocery store jobs are now filled with punjabs. i see the job postings and i apply every time, but I'm constantly overlooked because i am not Punjabi. It is illegal to discriminate against job seekers but they do it so blatantly!\nive lived here my whole life, and now trying to get a job that requires no qualifications is one of the hardest things to do. i think immigrants can be beneficial to our society, but not when they come in swarms from the same country, unskilled, and are butting heads against the lower class people already living here for housing and jobs. just, no.

I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

And all lining up for National Cheque Day, which seems to somewhat of a monthly holiday in Canada! Where is my cheque, dammit? I am entitled to it! Make it a Global Holiday! Canada needs a national Get To Work Day! Too many jailhouse junky. One side of the bars, jailhouse. Outside of the bars, junkie. And the cycle seems to repeat itself. The benefits of a free healthcare system paid by welfare and social assistance. And toppled by a wave of migrants from third world countries searching for benefits and cheques themselves, making this country more third world by per capita as well. Where is National Cheque Day? You do not provide any gdp. Nor service. How is the almighty Canadian dollar worth anything? You didn’t like Nazis? What was that strong German work ethic? The slightly more educated and hard working enough to grow food for their families until groups of marauders start coming in to steal it all? Why did those genocides happen in Africa except for and only because those exact same reasons. You gotta work in life. That is an unfortunate requirement. Because of way too many people eating hard working efforts like they did with the Nazis trying to preserve their crops for their children. You come here to work. To build sustainable life. And compliments of a free healthcare system and government that gives you drug money to test their drugs. An exact cause of the drug epidemic. Thinking like on Endore, they even began eating Ewoks! I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. This is very true. I am an Austrian citizen that tried to immigrate into Canada from 2021-2023, I worked my ass off, working 2 jobs for most of my stay and living as cheaply as possible. I still burned through all my savings and a significant amount of money my family sent me to help out. I had an accident and waited for hours for an ambulance to show up, they transported me to a different city because in this town none of the two hospitals had a fucking X-Ray machine. Then the next morning the hospital in the other city kicked me out again, with a fucked up back, because there were no beds available. Had to call my neighbours to come pick me up again (thank you Tracy, love you) because I couldn't get home anymore. Lost one of my jobs thanks to this and started a different one, couldn't afford live in BC anymore and moved to Winnipeg because I heard live there is cheaper. It is, but not significantly so, but you pay for this by living in terrible conditions. Rent was still high, salary was shit, the public transport system is.... Existent but not reliable and the city is so incredibly dirty. There's garbage everywhere. Between my apartment and the nearest dollar store was one garbage can and that was a 20-30 minute walk, here in Vienna there's garbage cans everywhere and thanks to them the city is cleaner. \n\nAnyways, I gave up on moving to Canada and came home. Still dealing with my fucked up back (though it's getting better thanks to Physio and a good doctor) and the debt I accrued in the last few years. But my apartment costs less than half for the same size, my job earns me significantly more money, my phone plan is better and costs less than half and the food is both much much cheaper and much much better. \n\nI am happy with life now. I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.

My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

The reason why we can't build enough housing has nothing to do with local governments and property values. It has to do with lack of labor. This education system, for some unbeknowned reason, is absolutely terrible, and provides basically no skills, training or education for the vast majority of high school students such that when they graduate high school, their forced to go to university or college. Since they have absolutely no training. In most parts of the world you finish high school and you have a trade, or you have some skill to begin working, the kids here know nothing. Nothing. Other than emotional safety, intersectional language, and wokeism. On top of that, the government has brought in every kind of environmental restriction and regulation on account of incredibly loud, but actually small minority of enviro lunatics, who most of the time use these environmentalism as a cover precisely for protecting their high property values in very luxurious and special places around the country, and they oppose logging and all sorts of resource extraction under the guise of environmentalism. But it's actually to preserve their special privileged position often in some wilderness or island, where they might be the only one or a handful of families who got lucky to somehow own a property. Property and so they oppose everything on account of environmental reasons. But it's just to keep people out and preserve their own privileged place. This country also as most others suffers from the illness of dishonesty and lack of integrity brought about by a culture of marketers where nothing is the way it is said to be. Everything is a fine print. And we have gotten used to this as normal. We've gotten used to having credit cards, charges, 25% interest, we've gotten used to being ripped off constantly by all the corporations for everything, and nobody complains and they just borrow more and they just bottle it in and now it's finally coming out. They're fed up of people who complain and bitch one moment about the pipeline and then complain and bitch the next moment about the high cost of gasoline when the pipeline is temporarily shut down for servicing. I immigrated to Canada in 2010, and here are my experiences inside and outside Canada. I am grateful for a good education; having a Canadian passport opened up many opportunities in other countries to build a higher-level career. However, if I had known the amount of stress, health, and financial damage that I had to endure, I wouldn't have chosen to come to Canada. I would have remained in the US or EU countries where I could achieve even more without suffering to the level I did here. \n\nMisleading immigration promotion: The government-sponsored Canadian immigration program oversells what Canada can offer. It withholds information on the cost of living, chicken-and-egg problems like Canadian work experience is required to get a job at the same level as you are in, Canadian credit history is required to rent a proper apartment, Canadian education is required to secure a high-level job, etc. \n\nHiring process: I knew the Canadian system was not ideal for immigrants over a decade ago, but it got so bad now that even the born citizens are unable to survive. The Canadian government and employers lack a basic understanding that ambitious, high-achieving people immigrate to other countries for high-level positions using proper channels. It's ridiculous to see that Canada uses a point-based system to choose highly qualified personnel to enter their country yet expects them to pursue low-paying entry-level or labor jobs just because they have brown/black skin. At first, I thought having a Canadian degree and experience might help me get high-level jobs, and I didn't think how I spoke or looked would matter when I had high credentials to show off. So, I got my masters & Ph.D. from the Univesity of Toronto, which consistently ranks #1 in Canada. I have a bachelor's from a prestigious university in Asia and had a high-competitive, well-paid federal government job in another country. Still, none of that was recognized in Canada, and I had to volunteer for over 6 months, 10 to 12 hours/day, in a research lab that led to a funded PhD program. I worked even harder during my Ph.D. with many accomplishments, like 40+ research and leadership awards, internationally recognized scientific discoveries, and innovative technologies. I checked all the above and beyond in various domains (research, teaching, leadership, business, engineering consulting, collaborations, etc.). Yet, employers couldn't see past my race, gender, age, etc., and refused to give me the opportunity at the level of my qualifications. Luckily, I managed to secure short-term work in the UK & the US, and it changed even how I see myself. I was highly respected for my credentials, given higher positions than I applied for, and paid 3-4 times more salary and benefits. Of course, bias is an integral part of every society, but my race, gender, age, etc., were not as big of an issue to begin my career at the mid-career stage in these countries as opposed to Canada. \n\nHealthcare: Access to healthcare was another big challenge for me. When I moved to Canada in 2010, due to extremely low temperatures, I developed hives all over my body, my eyes got red, and I coughed for many months. The doctor said there was nothing wrong with me and refused to give me any medication. It took us years to get a family doctor, and we got one through my personal network. In 2015/2016, I developed an autoimmune disease, and my eyeballs popped out. As of today, I did not get to see an eye specialist as they have only 1 specialist in the area, and the waiting time is for years for the first consultation. Every time the family doctor told me that I had iron deficiency, even when I insisted that they should run additional tests and they cleared, they were flagged. The doctor never diagnosed my autoimmune condition. Luckily, during my short-term work in the UK, I saw competent interns who completed my care. NHS is poorer than the medical system in Canada... they are understaffed, don't have hospital beds after surgery, or don't have stock of paper gowns, yet the staff are highly competent and caring. Within 1-2 years, they did complete diagnosis by sending me to various specialists, completed eye surgery, and even found a lifelong condition that was preventing me from realizing my full potential. Following, in the US, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis of all the conditions within 1-2 months and put me on two small pills for life. It has dramatically changed my life, and I have even more admiration for the medical profession. While in Canada, I suffered for over a decade, and every time, I was treated as a hypochondriac and never given a single prescription. \n\nQuality of life: Big cities like Toronto are mainly affected by high crime rates, overpopulation, cost of living, low employment, low salaries, etc. A few months back, there was a huge auto theft, and one of my contacts lost their Lexus car within minutes of parking. Despite being a scientist, I have no faith in politicians or individuals fixing these problems. The salaries are not increasing, but the taxes and cost of living are on the exponential growth curve. The ridiculous part is that Canada expects you to pay taxes even when you are not employed or living in Canada! I lived in London and Boston, and they offer a much higher quality of life and pay. \n\nGrowth potential: No wonder Canada, being a G7 country, falls at the bottom of the list in innovation, equal opportunities, economic growth, etc. It has a decent education system but, due to its inherent bias in the hiring process and monopoly of certain businesses, loses talented immigrants and highly qualified Canadians to the US, the UK, and EU markets. Unless there is a dramatic shift in policies, Canadians, especially new immigrants, cannot expect any positive experience in Canada except for being discriminated against and losing valuable time and money by being there.

We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. Only drawback in our country is the traffic and infrastructure, which will also become better, but will take time, because of our country's population.\nIn fact you will find servants and watchmen all coming to work in a bikes or scooters, which was unthinkable some years back. Their life has changed for the better, they live in rented flats/or on lease, their children study in good schools and so on, and they dress also so well, that you cannot differentiate between them and the people they work for.\nMany of the so called advanced countries do not have many well educated people like our country, the children there are not as knowledgeabe like Indian kids, their knowledge is limited to the town they live in, they don't know anything about the world outside.\nAnd now with the Khalistani terrorist living freely there it is all the more dangerous. And on top of it, it is a country ruled by a dumb Prime Minister, who has to give asylums to all good for nothing, ( and all only for votes) uneducated people whose only job is to sell drugs to kids and indulge in terrorism and threaten people.\nGood thing, you have come back, for there is nothing like sweet home.

I live in a small rural Northern community, East Indian immigrants have bought out or taken over nearly every business in the community, our car wash, both grocery stores, both Hardware stores, subway, pizza place, two of the three restaurants, only motel, nearly all the rental properties, and they are shifting their investment now to homes, as we can still buy homes up here for reasonable prices, they are buying them, doing some cheap renovations, and trying to flip them for large amounts. All these local small businesses in the community used to employ young people from the community, they used to be places of employment for summer jobs for students and for the elderly people who retire here to have jobs to keep busy. Since the influx of people from India, all of the jobs in these stores that have been bought out by them are now done by Indian people, nearly everyone who used to work these jobs in my community has lost the opportunity to do so because since the businesses were bought out by Indians they only hire their own kind as employees. I know at least 10 people directly that have lost their jobs due to this, and there are certainly more. We allow foreign investment in our business and real estate market, and these people come in, completely take over and dominate these small communities, and fill them with their young people from India and take away all the jobs from the local people living here. Its horrible. My wife and I are planning on moving to Eastern Europe, Canada in another few decades will be nothing more than a province of India.

I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

Truth is that the immigration system has been a source of income and financial gain for the system but gives little back. Sadly many Canadians think the opposite is true. They think because refugees are given shelter while waiting for processing that means they receive support more than the locals. Truth is immigrants come here mostly on loans, spend years working and spending to support families back home, it takes years to understand the taxing, credit, wealth, education and many other resources that drives the Canadian community. This put immigrants in a position where they work more than the local just to meet the bare minimum life standards. If many of the immigrants knew the ins and outs of the system, then they would really take over and appreciate being in canada. \n\nCanadians and canada as a whole are welcoming. You might meet a few who have little knowledge of the global system and standard against immigrants, something that their countries economic system depends on. Remember your countries have never lived without immigration. From the day the first white personal stepped onto this lane, immigrants have continued to come in more different colours. It’s our duty to focus on making life better not on how we can make life harder for others. Wanting to live in canada with your own specific community and wanting others to stay away from a land that has been shared for decades is just a selfish stand. We all love canada because we all find peace here.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. Economy literally zero, school system - other than real education they teach you everything which is of useless in life, medical care - people have been waiting to see doctor for over 2 years, income tax is 50% which is you’ll never get anything as take home. There are way too many society issues that she’s not able to cover because of the limited time she lived here. There’s no social structure, festivals, support, mentally everyone’s weak, almost all food is GMO which will make you patient forever. Every family who came here post covid is struggling. Hey there, you fine American... Just to let you understand, our system is FAR from perfect, but it's still easy access and quick service IF you don't need a rare specialist or a not so rare one). The thing is, it's ALL priority based, so if you wait, it's because someone needs your resources even MORE than you do. Sometimes, it ends up in a tragedy, but MOST times, it allows for the neediest to get it first. \nAs far as having children here, we have a NEGATIVE birthrate, so our government PAYS us to have children. My son grew up in Quebec, and they have a double everything. Double taxes (not that bad after the tax deductions and credits), but they also Double the safety net and services, compared to the rest of Canada. Not only was childbirth free, so were the pre-natal courses and everything else, AND we got around 1000$/mo in childcare benefits, until he turned 18, with full of tax credits per kid. Plus, daycare was 5$/day back then, it's 7$/day almost 20 years later.. Pretty citizen friendly. \nThings MIGHT be changing though. Our conservatives are taking their talking points from the US GOP since COVID, and they are all-in to please their Oil lobby overlords and donators out in our prairies region. 1. Canada's immigration is primarily skilled labour. Non- skilled labour is imported mostly from the Carribean countries especially Jamaica and you have to leave every year and come back in the next. So, that can be disruptive, but I've met Jamaican's who've been on those programs and done well as well as those who haven't.\n2. If you come to Canada illegally utakipata. Be prepared to hustle for long.\n3. Since Covid everything has become very expensive especially housing. \n4. The videos you've shown of people sleeping outside is because of an increase in the influx of refugees wanting to come to Canada. Refugee shelters are allocated money in the budget for what the Govt estimates will be the number of refugees they'll take in, but there's been an influx lately.\n- A point to note though, ALL refugees Canada received from Ukraine had jobs within 2 months. Why? very skilled labour.\n- Canada's refugee policy is much more lenient than in the US and thus most refugees have been coming to Canada even from the US. The US ones have since been blocked by an agreement signed by both countries.\n5. Are there jobs in Canada? YES, but they require certain skills. The good thing is that once you get one, its the beggining of good fortunes.\n6. If you have skilled qualifications, be prepared to start at a lower level than you are used to and claw your way up. Just don't expect to start where you left off. A Nigerian friend of mine who had performed several surgeries in Nigeria could not be hired until he went back to get certified here in Canada. He has since joined the medical field after going back to school.\n\nAll in all, research, research, research before you make any move.
