Canada should plan better. You need housing and resources.\nCan't depend on people to make housing available for rent.\nIt is not the immigrants' fault that there is a crisis.\nIt is the government policies that only care for the money coming in with the immigrants.\nThe same with students.\nInternational students bring their money. They pay triple tuition. There should be more done to ensure they don't become homeless or dependent on food banks after coming here.\n\nIf that is happening, the Canadian government needs to put in more measures to check students' funds.

I'm an immigrant from Latin America myself and i have to agree but it's deeper than that.\nI try my best to assimilate the culture but clearly not every immigrant does the same. \nOne of the reasons i left Toronto a couple years ago was precisely because of the housing crisis. Rent prices was on the roof.\nBesides that there's too many foreigners, half the city is trying to learn English and consequently the city's identity is lost. \nBut i guess this lost of identity is happening everywhere in Canada. It's sad to see.

I feel the same way about my hometown of Halifax. It's impossible to live here, now. It's impossible to live anywhere in Nova Scotia. Nova Scotians are poor. We are a poor province. We cannot afford 1M+ dollars for a three bedroom house. Common Nova Scotians just don't have that kind of money. Regular folks cannot afford a 5K/month mortgage. I live with my family in an apartment, with a leaky roof and cockroaches, in a decent neighbourhood, and it's 2160.00/month and I know this is a good deal in this city. Crime is rising here, as well, because jobs are disappearing and wages aren't increasing. I think this is country wide. We have a huge homeless problem in Halifax, and it is not following the past statistics. Most of the people living in tents have full-time jobs and families. But, there are literally thousands of empty houses. New appartments and condos get built, and there are no vacancies before the building is open. And not a single person is living in them. They get bought by out of province and out of country investors to fortify their investment portfolios. This is ridiculous. What is happening?

I’m in Canada and I would say that’s misinformation. That’s happening in only two provinces Toronto and Vancouver as cost of living has risen. The rest of provinces are affordable and jobs are readily available. High skill requirements is kinda true and lie at the same time. Not all jobs here require high skills. Some jobs just require basic skills and those are the highest jobs available. New immigrants all they need is to get the immigration papers straight and move to affordable provinces to start a life. You don’t have to start a life in Toronto or Vancouver the most expensive provinces. People will always need to immigrate. I can assure you many people that have migrated are more successful than these few mishaps that happens everywhere even back home. Moving to Canada from Kenya is the best decision I have ever made in my life. Canada is one of the best countries you should ever move in.

Life has become very expensive worldwide. Whether in Kenya or in Canada, the cost of living hits you hard. I have lived in the US for the last more than twenty years. When I first came here $50 would be enough to buy food for a whole month. Today $50 cannot buy you food for even a week. A gallon of petrol today is over $5. The same thing is happening in Kenya, I believe. There are a number of problems when you land in Canada as a visitor. One: To covert a visitor's visor to a work permit is a process. Two; where do you want to land in Canada? If you land in Toronto, Ontario, you get stranded because everybody is landing there. People dont want to go to the north. All those pictures you are seeing are in Toronto. Because of the influx of people arriving there, the government has spent the budget for visitors and refugees. Three; the choice of jobs. When somebody promises you a job in Canada and helps to get a visitor's visa, think twice before you leave home. If somebody promises you a job in Canada, let him help you to get a work permit before you leave home. That way you are surered of a job. There are so many things to consider before you leave home.

The vast majority of these immigrants are not high skilled labour. People need to realise that the only reason Canada is doing this is because its birth rate is so low, they’ve said it many times. The fact that you could go to a pawn shop and just...browse the guns there is so alien to me. Every country that has tighter gun control has fewer school shootings, and shootings in general. Like, shootings still happen here, but not to the same extent they do in America. American gun culture enables them because they both make guns so readily available, and have a culture that celebrates gun ownership in a way other cultures, like my Canadian culture, do not. I think our last school mass shooting was in the eighties? So, if I lived in the US, I don't think I'd be afraid to send my kid to school, but it would be way more of a concern than it is here, where I don't even consider the possibility of that happening at all.

As a Canadian, the feelings I get watching the what is happening in the US now, is the same feelings people get watching TLC shows. It makes us feel better about ourselves. We may not be perfect, and may have our flaws, but at least we aren't as bad as them.

I'm sure there are places in the USA where I could be happy. You need to consider though that as an foreign worker, the opportunities are in the large centers. You'd have to tough it out in a big city for a while until you could get established, then you could move somewhere more desirable. I had an opportunity a long time ago to work in silicon valley. The pay raise was unthinkable and I was certainly tempted. Then I did the math, it is an extremely expensive place to live, or at least it was at the time. When it was all said and done I would have about the same quality of life (however in a desert, no snow, yay!). I would be thousands of miles from my family and have pretty serious job insecurity. Without citizenship, it could get bad real fast. So it just wouldn't be worth it. Now I'm older and there just no way... Not happening.

This has been happening on mexicos southern border for months now. Mexicos president is wayyyy too nice to kick them out like the US is. And most of these people are stealing homes, kicking locals out of their homes and taking over small cities in Mexico. It's not usa problem neither Mexicos problem. Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? Latin America is like living in the worst state in U.S multiply by 1000 and happening the same thing every day, riots or protest are imposible there because you know the police will never go the peaceful way, what this people are doing is wrong but they just want to live, it even surprise how much people hate their president here when in Latin America there hasn’t been any good president in decades. Corporate America turns a blind eye to this because they want cheap labor. That’s why you’ll never see the immigration issue resolved until there’s full blown violence. The same thing is happening across the developed world. In a country like Canada, where the labor pool is coming from India, the social programs would fail if not for the taxes and fees collected from these migrant low wage earners. But it’s fuelling the housing crisis and other social problems. Complex business folks.

My parents came to this country in the 70s from a small country in SAmerica. they brought me 3 years later and my handicap brother 2 years later. The USA embassy made my parents sign a paper stating that my brother will not used any government assistance ( he had polio when he was little so he has to walk with scratches) and that's what my parents did until my brother got a job. He worked for 40 years in the same job until he retired 6 years ago. With the exception of the mass rehab center for job training, my brother never used government assistance. \nI remember my mother and I we used to wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning to shovel the snow from the driveway so it would be safe for him to walk to his car to go to work at 5 am. I am very proud of my brother. \nSome people think that receiving government assistance is smart, but we think is not bc it makes you a dependent, you loose your sovereignty as an individual. And these people don't realize that. Personally I think these people are getting paid to do this bc this is not normal. \nIn the other hand, the USA government in the quest to protect its interests ( mainly the corporate interests) support candidates that will go along with what the US says. \nI would like to point out that in this country, there's plenty of corruption, do u do anything about it? ! Jan 6 is the only time that I see it happening ( for me, Jan 6 will forever be a very important holiday)

This is happening EVERYWHERE in Western countries. They want to break our communities. You can’t blame the men and women leaving Venezuela or other countries looking for a better, safer life. We’ve got to stop hating one another. If the governments in all countries did their jobs properly and looked after their people, they’d not want to leave. America broke Venezuela, same as they try and destroy anyone who doesn’t do what they say. Learn some Spanish, make some new friends. The world is going through the same migrant shift at the same time. The same is happening in the UK immigrants coming to the UK expecting to reap all benefits just becasue. Meanwhile homelessness and lack of jobs for those who have lived here all their lives and the bottom of the list for basic housing. Adults with children living with parents not entitled to the government finding yet these people enter and are helped/ housed. It's no longer about race but principals. This world is annoying me!

The exact same thing is happening to the UK. Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants (economic migrants) from Africa, the Middle-East, and eastern Europe are crossing the English Channel in small boats to illegally claim asylum in the UK. 200,000 criminals masquerading as refugees have crossed the English Channel so far, only for our worthless government to accommodate them in four star hotels at taxpayers expense instead of detaining and deporting them back to their country of birth.

Canada is what you would call an enabler when it comes to druggies and crazy people. You can have Canada and their liberal and policed country. At one time is was a great country. I lived there once and went back and forth for 30 years and watched the government get worse and worse. The people are great but the government is not. I watched it deteriorate over 30 some years and now the liberals got a strangle hold on it and they are chocking it to death. Beautiful country but the woke liberals have destroyed it. It is no longer the Canada people once knew. So sad, but now I am watching the very same thing happening to the U.S. but I hope we are able to stop it before it gets too far. The woke liberals are actually dead in every sense of the word, brain dead and soul dead.

Quebec banning the hijab was literally ending racism. Catholic habits had been banned for decades. They finally said that if one religion isn't allowed, neither will the other one be allowed. That's called equality, not racism. I have no love for Quebec, but the one thing they do get right, is they treat different people groups (aside from French/English division) more or less the same. Using Quebec as an example shows how little you know about what's happening in Canada, and how easily you are controlled by our propaganda arm known as Canadian media.

The more new people come, the larger the homeless community will get. The same things are happening in the US. The world is headed for the worse recession we have ever seen.

Islamophobia is common sense! In any democratic nation's constituency, the moment they cross 30% electorate they'll actup, impose Sharia laws. Ofcourse, if they cross 50% they'll soon kill others, convert forcibly. And eventually, when they start ruling, then there is the reign of terror - non-muslims are economically boycotted (halal/haram rules), killed (jihad), taxed till they either die in poverty or convert (jaziya)... all of that will happen. There is enough precedence in the world to validate that... we saw how Persian culture was destroyed, Egyptian culture was destroyed including destroying the ancient Sphynx, how afghanistan changed from buddism to a radical nation including the destruction of the ancient Bhamiyan buddha, how lebanon changed from christian majority to muslim nation recently... the same transition is happening in Sweden, Norway, France, UK, India... it wont be long before we see that in USA. Christians and Jews living in democracies will soon be wiped out by Islam because political parties will endlessly appease them to the point that it becomes suicidal! I repeat, Islamophobia is common sense!!

This video seems to really capture the reality of a typical America and the narration really crystalizes it. Even though it depicts a less urban setting, the same stillness can be found in cities and suburbs. It’s not what you see on Netflix or in Hollywood where there’s a story to be told and you do see a lot of human interaction from scene to scene. In real life America so many lead an isolated life indoors except for when one has to go to work or school. One explanation for this, however, is that community in America and many societies is not geographically determined. It’s structured around work, school, church, one’s immediate family if there is anyone and other kinds of civic associations. Loneliness really comes in when one does not belong to any of these “communities”. One’s geographical community (in a society like America’s) simply does not or cannot provide a sense of belonging. It provides physical and material comforts but not emotional or social sustenance, which has to come from those other types of associations. And I sense this is not just a Western world phenomenon. I think it’s happening everywhere and simply a fact of life wherever the vast majority of people living in any space have no family ties with one another. In a village or neighborhood setting in a place like India or Africa, you’ll have such liveliness on the streets and among neighbors because a lot of the people there are simply relatives of each other.
