Civil war is very likely as many republicans now see that America is isolating themselves to create a dictatorship. Us vs the world mentality. Politics has never been more entertaining. China is set to be the new world leader, I can’t see it any other way. The timeline has moved forward beyond belief.

I'm American, I'm cheering for Canada. Our government has broken its word to yours. I do not believe that Trump's actions represent the wishes of most Americans but many of them DID vote for him (and the utterly spineless Congressional Republicanswho enable him) and all of us are going to pay the price, quite literally.

I'm Danish - we have a big movement in Denmark to boycot American goods. The US has failed in so many ways. They will learn - perhaps to late - what the price is. In the mean time I urge people around the world who supports Ukraine, Mexico, Canada and Europe - who supports the right to freedom - to buy goods from each other. Lets join together with Japan, Australia, South Korea etc - let's show the US that YES, they were important - yes they WERE the leaders of the free world - but they lost the right to that title the moment they selected Trump for president again. Let's show them what real bravery is and what real freedom is!

I think these words mean nothing, one shoudl look at actual data. There have been a tremendous imbalance between the US and most of the world. US produces so much, have so many resourcers but could not compete. Instead, they were forced to open operations in foreign countries, which does not benefit US taxpayers. I just thought about something that many of us forget. There are thousands of Americans that go to Canada for cheaper medicine because they can’t afford it here. They will likely be hurt by all this BS.

It's not just products that we MUTUALLY benefit from selling to each other, the US generates significant profits from its many operations in Canada, and those $Billions of dollars in profits that go back to American Investors is not included in the 'Trade Imbalance' that is a justification for the tariffs. With those profits included, I'd bet Canada is the nation with the imbalance not in its favor...

As a 60 years old french Canadian I have all the reason to not love Trudeau, because he remind me how his father treated us, never vote for him, but today I saw a men (finally) standing up and take the lead for our country. Trudeau is speaking and acting like the statesman he is! His way of speaking on this matter is truly polite and great. He is defending his country and its values! Hopefully there's many more leaders of other countries that will step up and take action against the person that ignorant americans voted into the White House! This is how a leader should speak. He speaks with sincerity and with clarity. He doesnt speak broadly just to an entire audience. He speaks to each group of people that this is concerning to, and making sure we understand the magnitude of this situation. He adjusts how he speak to each group, and also to our sad president. Thats the vibe of the message he was giving me. Many different types of languages and emotions are spoken at the same time.\n\nI love our country, but I do not agree with how our currents presidents policies, changes, and tear down of our government/agencies in just 2 months. I cant imagine the months to come. He has taken hundreds of billions of dollars from the US and has no plan for peace in his nation…Pres Trump says enough is enough, and he is trying to not only end the war, but recoup massive amounts of money we wrongly gave through a deal for natural resources. Pull the camera back and look at the big picture. The US has been divided sharply down the middle of the political spectrum. Canada has been crumbling under stupid political and economic decisions. This trade war is uniting the common people both American and Canadian and supportive allies around the world. Corruption has bubbled to the surface and many things that conspiracy theorists have been mocked for is now commonly known as truth. The people will unite while the Oligarchs mutter “let them eat cake” and there will be a reckoning. Donald might be making stupid choices, but perhaps that is what we needed to finally wake up and unite.
