As an Indian Immigrant who left recently, here are few tips for Canadians:\n\n1. Not every brown person is Indian, I knew people from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka identifying themselves as Indians.\n\n2. Its not entire India but two major states, Punjab and Gujarat, with majority of aggressive actions coming from IMMIGRANTS from Punjab and not native Punjabis who are born and brought up here.\n\n3. Immigrants can’t vote, so majorly its not your fault and so is not immigrants fault but the Government that the CITIZENS elected brought immigrants for boosting their dead economy.\n\n4. Controversial but I will say it, Canada is a FRENCH country with English as its second major language. No others language is as prominent, So if you are sure that a brown person is an IMMIGRANT and they can’t even speak ENGLISH properly let alone French, 99% chance he/she is a problem in your country and does labour work.

Palkhi as much as I like watching your news your views here need to address real issues. I am a proud Indian who has lived in the UK for over 50 years. However I have to say whilst there are a lot of highly skilled Indian immigrants on work visas who contribute immensely to this country. however we now have a huge community of Indians those who have come over on illegal documents or on holiday visas and then never go back. They end up working in menial jobs or not working at all and perhaps this is an issue India needs to address. Sadly these immigrants will never be an economically contributing asset to this country or any other country and I am not surprised that the visa rate rejection is so high.

Indian news, and particularly your commentaries, are just nationalistic rants. You need to speak the truth and explain the real reasons why Indians have a hard time getting visas for Western and developed countries. The largest number of illegal immigrants in the US, Canada and Western Europe are Indians. Many Indians have no intention of returning to India. Indian Government should voluntarily help countries to deport illegal Indian immigrants. Though majority of Indians travel abroad for holidaying , around 25% of them try to illegally settle in host countries . This is not just problem of Indians, even Pakistanis & Bangladeshis also has same mentality. Hence GOI should bring in strict rules and mechanism to stop illegal migration from India . This will boost confidence on Indian passport .

It is about demand/supply, per capita income, general level of education/behavior, and past experience with visitors - especially the risk of undocumented immigrants. Indians are too keen to visit other countries - but those countries do not view this as a good thing in terms of cost/benefit. 5th largest economy holds much less water than a mid-level per capita income - when we are talking about individual citizens.

Palki, the reason is see the percentage of illegal immigrants. Indians have a huge disproportionate high share of this. You need to start looking at the issues in a dispassionate manner. Unnecessary nationalism will not fetch you any brownie points.

I think the Canadian government needs to be a little more careful with the type of immigrants that enter the country. I don't see it as a problem to have Chinese, Japanese, Indians and other people immigrating to Canada. But I think it is also necessary to attract more people from Europe to live in the country. Canada is a country with a white majority and, if they are not careful, the country's demographics could change a lot over the years. European ancestry needs to remain alive in the country. Especially British and French. That is Canada's identity.

Indians! Not immigrants

I don't care what anyone says, but Indian people, particularly (Punjabs) don't like to mixed with other cultures at all. They don't integrate with the Canadian lifestyle. They don't worked very hard, they are rude, they have no respect for other nationalities, racist as fuck, and the list goes on. I missed Canadians! I don't have an issue with immigrants at all; as I am an immigrant myself from the Carribean. However, I have always respected Canadian culture and their laws. I'm sorry, India is the number one hated Country on the planet as we speak. England, Australia, & many other countries are not allowing Indian students to enter anymore. The proof is in the pudding! They are just bringing all their bad habits wherever they go. So it's not only Canada that's fed up, there are lots of Countries that cannot stand their attitude and erratic behavior. They have very low standards if you ask me.\n\nI can't wait for the day to see Canadians working the fast food &service industry again. No offense, but I rather be served by Canadians than Indians. I don't have to put up with their rudeness lack of communication skills. We all have have our opinions, but facts and numbers don't lie. Deport! Deport! Deport! I am also fed up with what they have done to this once, beautiful Country! Thank you Mr. Trudeau! The number one hated person in Canada and the worse Prime Minister is the history of Canadian politics! Indeed sad and depressing to say the least!

I was born in Canada and my family was from the Caribbean and were brown. Learned Canadian history from our first PM John a McDonald, Wilfred Laurier, learned French. We were hoping Quebec did not separate from Canada. Our whole family is loyal to one country and that is Canada only. The small minority of Indians have destroyed what made us Canada. Playing Punjabi music downtown at Yonge Dundas that never happened. These punjabis are deliberately travelling from Brampton to dance at Yonge Dundas to shove their music in our face. Can you break down the west coast cause holy moly, i feel like i live in india not Canada!!! My apt building is filling up with immigrants, all the whites are moving out as the landlord is letting our building turn into a slum, whenever i call, he is in India, he has not fixed a damn thing and as white people move out, he does not clean the apt between people, he let's them move in with other people's garbage, he did that to me and when i complained he asked for the keys back, he is also doubling the rent of the new immigrants. Canada is very welcoming country, but if you guys bring all of your bad attitude, you are not welcome here. By the way I am immigrant Canadian. 4:27 - This is incorrect. Indian immigrants of the past 3 years have shown clear signs that they have NO INTENTION of integrating and assimilating into Canadian culture and values whatsoever. In Canada now Canadians are so angry at Indians coming here on fraudulent papers, conducting themselves like savages without any morals or standards. There will be a lot of murders over the next few years in Canada. People are desperate and only trying to survive in their own native country.

The problem is not with immigration but not having balanced immigration because you know there's huge corruption in the system when high percentage of immigrants are cheap labour with international students and temp foreign workers program from mostly India. \n\nIt's disgusting that it's displacing Canadians and having blatant discrimination by hiring only Indians at almost every corner. These businesses and the government need to be taken to court for enabling such racist discrimination against Canadians.

Are these not criminal acts by Indians who enter fraudulently a foreign country without a valid Visa. Yes, many people do it but not on this huge scale as done by India. These Indians should be deported back to India as they are not refugees and their country India is not in civil war or in crisis so they are a economical immigrants and they should stay in their country, otherwise Canada and US should deal with them accordingly.

Those Indians crossing the borders & entering the USA ??, illegally are not poor. They are just greedy and do not respect any laws, either in India, or in the countries they migrate. Canadian whites also have their homes in Europe. If they don't like Canada, they are free to go back. Indian or any other ethnicity has not invaded the country. I'm also an immigrant, been in Canada for 16 years, came here initially for uni. It's funny that I have no negative feelings towards immigrants from any other countries but India. And I didn't have any negative feeling toward them before I came to Canada, if anything, I only remember something positive my grandma telling me about Indian people being beautiful, that they have big beautiful eyes. After I came to Canada, over the years, based on countless personal experiences dealing with them, sadly my conclusion is 99% of them are bad, 1% are the exception. They are aggressive, rude, stinky, unhygienic, dishonest, always trying to take financial advantage of people or situations to save a few more bucks by being super annoying or cheating, extremely disrespectful and aggressive towards women!! Really nothing is appealing about them. And at a job position, 1 Indian will bring 10 Indians, 10 will bring 100, they are slowly encroaching the environment and taking over everything. Other races try to assimilate into the local culture, while the Indians are imposing theirs onto the local and other cultures. Canada feels like it's turning into a second India. It's lost its politeness, manner, rules etc. I no longer want to live here, I plan to move back to my country after a few years. And I don't really go to Tim Hortons anymore cuz the Indians are taking over all the franchises and lowered the standards of Hygiene and friendliness. I don't think I'm being racist, cuz I'm not having all these negative feelings based on their skin colour or origin. It's purely based on real life experiences in dealing with them.

Canada is a massive country with only 40 million people, there is enough space here for immigrants that will come here legally and search for a better life. Do not forget that Canada is a free country and that all of us here are immigrants, the land belonged to native Indians.

I am guessing 5 million Indians will march towards Canada and it is safe to presume that Immigration India formerly known as Immigration Canada is gearing up to accept all these as permanent residents namely the ones with diapers over their heads and I presume Transit companies, municipalities, hospitals, schools, banks, etc.. across Canada are gearing up to hire them right on the spot. All the government has to do is give these pricks a 3 months grace period after which anyone overstays gets added to a Black list which means no permanent residency even if they spend the rest of their lives here and any child born to these pricks does not qualify for automatic citizenship plus fines for every day of overstaying with no maximum limit and denial of acceptance even if they leave at a later time and apply from overseas including family reunions. Conservatives will assemble a legal committee to revoke the status of anyone who switched from visitor, fake student etc... to permanent resident and order them deported. Trump is not joking and he will kick out millions in just 1 year because he has robust means and eager sheriffs to round them like chicken and ship them out.

Who is not an immigrant in USA? You found native Indians and colonized their country yet you have the audacity to say you will send immigrants back to origin. Including most of you go back to Ireland, etc.

The only people in the United States who are not immigrants or descendants of immigrants are Native American Indians. So it's the height of hypocrisy and arrogance for these people to whine against immigrants. We also have a law that justly provides safe harbor for immigrants seeking refugee protection because they are fleeing their country of origin due to persecution, violence, victimization, etc. It is morally correct to receive them here without any mistreatment or demonization. It is prejudicial, inhumane, and unlawful to turn them away or deport them. Is the administrative system and process inefficient or faulty? YES, obviously. That's not an excuse to be derelict in our duty. Our obligation is to fix whatever is lacking or broken in our system, so that it functions properly, fairly, and rapidly, for anyone seeking either asylum, or ordinary immigration processing and approval.

As a Canadian, while I don't necessarily care if you're having issues speaking English...\n I do have an issue with people in customer service, being of an Indian background, and actively not attempting to speak English... that is not customer service, especially inan Anglo-Saxon world... Why do Indians prefer to live anywhere but India. If you think about it…it’s really sad. Imagine not wanting to live in or contribute to your own country. I’m referring to the talented immigrants. Tim Hortons, Uber delivery, Uber Cabs, Petrol pumps I mean what is going on.\n\nRight now its getting to Canadians, and you need to understand that Canadians need these low skilled jobs for themselves too but employers are finding extremely cheap labour from other places to replace Canadians.\n\nSo if you ask me this move is good, it will surely hurt the skilled labour class too but its needed. Imagine have a million immigrants coming in with a country that has a population of 40 million.\n\nThe infrastructure comes to a stand still, housing is ruined, food inflation begins. \n\nHonestly thanks to Diploma mills, Asylum seekers and gangs from Punjab, its honestly gotten bad from the Indian perspective. Now add to this others coming in from Africa and South East Asia and you can see this country get worse honestly.\n\nThis isn't hate against anyone, its just facts.

I also came to Canada in 2006 as an immigrant with my 2 bags and started my new life with empty handed which almost all Indians had started on their time. Yes it’s very hard to adopt other cultures 100% for first generation. But have you think how this new immigrants have their own house and good jobs or business. Why their kids achieved higher education without any loan because their parents worked 7 days without looking around so called culture. They believe in work hard and focus on their family and kids and in extra time visit temple or Gurudwara just to keep live their believes. Do you know how many places where you find 3 times free hot food for everyone in Brampton at Gurudwara and Temple without looking at his originality. \nDon’t think the immigrants are coming here are poor in their country or helpless like refugees. Most of are millionaires in India but in Indian culture the stupid thoughts is to earn for next 7 generations so because of that greediness they work here 7 days and that’s why they are not homeless. As they have some values of their Indian culture they have not drug addictions.\nNot 100% Indian are good and loyal or honest. There are few which you can find in any culture or religion.\nSo in bottom line immigrants are here because of govt policies and invitations. They are not came as refugees. You can’t forced anyone where they have to stay and in how many percentage. Many people don’t live in GTA or ran away from GTA because they can’t afford house and can’t stand in competitive market. Government should skilled own citizen or make more powerful before invite highly skilled immigrants from other countries otherwise new immigrants will take jobs from original and that will be continued with us too.

This guy is right for the most part. A gov't telling the world to come in and not integrate or learn English is a big part of the problem. Then there are Indians who exploit Indians overseas. The thing too is the bad people coming now get so much free stuff. The rest of the immigrants who built this country had no programs yet have to pay for the newcomers who are changing the country. So some things aren't the Indians fault. The rest of us who came and adapted now face discrimination from newcomers and our own people who say Canada has no culture. I come from a time when foreigners got along for the most part. Now so many groups that all hate each other. I heard on my visit to Canada earlier this year for vacation the same thing, BUT you talked to Canadians who were obviously unemployed/with no skills and homeless (at least it seemed like that, my apologies if that was not the case. All immigrants should respect the local law and do not impose their culture in adopted land. I believe that Indians come to Brampton because they find their own kind of people there and feel that they will not feel any racism, mind you it happens everywhere. Racism in parts of Canada is very much there. \nI stayed in Toronto with a friend and noticed almost 99% of tenants there were chinese, and no one was speaking English. And Canadians are MAD, because you have allowed for people from countries with HIGH RATES of pro-sexually violent cultural views, and low standards of hygiene and politeness into our country. And you let them come here as students and take up first world spots for first world Canadians. Many immigrants from India are not only causing problems for Khalistanis, but also they are taking the jobs of many Canadian-born IT specialists. The IT market is saturated with cheap and useless unexperienced Indians which means experienced (highly paid) Canadian-borns are out of jobs claiming EI (or other provincial unemployment benefits).\nExcellent move by Treudu! This is a total failure of the Trudeau government.
