See you are a respectful and good citizen who we would have no problem welcoming to Canada. It's the others who are ignorant and who do not respect our countries culture. If you plan to immigrate you must respect our culture and act as nice or nicer than the reputation us Canadians have. The reason we are upset with some Indians is they have no respect. Some of them throw their garbage everywhere on the streets on the beaches on our walkways. I get in India the culture there may allow you to throw garbage in the streets and lakes and rivers. We do not do that here. Either way something has to change the government needs to fix this problem they created. Also why did they allow so many Indians what about Immigrants from other countries? It seems like all they did was mass import people from India. They can hardly even speak English. No disrespect I am just saying from someone who was born in Canada and whose parents grandparents and great grandparents and beyond were all born in Canada how we feel the way our country is being disrespected. It does not make us happy. But let me stress that I know there are kind respectable people from India who come here and are helping Canada. It's the ones who are disrespectful and are not respecting OUR culture.

I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. They also have a superiority attitude. \nThis is a plan honest list of observations. I hope they learn to integrate with Canadian culture, improve their language skills and learn proper hygiene. Part of the problem is our politicians becoming so corrupt working With your countrymen getting your kickbacks from a temporary foreign worker program. a temp work a program that's been going on for over 30 years so I hardly think it's temporary don't you? they don't realize how pissed off their constituents are. You know it's time we get our house in order in the Anglosphere is actually for reestablishing the British Empire or maybe an angle Empire of sorts with America Australia Canada New Zealand and all the rest of the gang and actually put some order back into this world that actually makes sense. we should have never abandoned our Empires and colonies we should actually kept them even stronger. Time to lock down our intellectual property again and not share any of future developments anymore. No more sharing such valuable with such ingrates. Lock down and do as much innovation as we can in the coming decades so that we can make centuries of progress in a few decades and then maybe get the advantage back again and then tell these people were never actually letting our guard ever again. let's make it a capital offense to share any intellectual property or technologies from the West to these assholes from now. Isn't it very curious that you won't talk embracing globalization free trade how quickly the West loss control over everything that I had and it's awesome under its aegis. How quickly companies like Nortel were totally destroyed and then we have a weird quickest tendency of something like Huawei. With obviously knock off the products that took a hell a lot of research and development for companies like Nortel who actually did the work to make. Let's see how well they're actually able to innovate when they actually no longer have access to the cookie jar. It pisses me off like we've done so much on this planet to actually push Humanity forward into a much more modern era where would be nice to travel to the Stars mind you like Country like we are nothing but Scoundrels and we had nothing but yeah. When you guys need the next revolutionary processor or whatever don't come with running to us because yeah I think we're about done in the West

I grew up in Canada and I'm white. When I went to high school everyone who I met grew up in the country so it was very easy to socialize and make friends. When I went to college it was a very big culture shock because everyone traveled to Canada from another country mostly India, Korea, China and the Philippines. Most indians/immigrants ive interacted with are insanely smart people. In high school all the native Canadians were a lot less intelligent vaping is a huge issue but everyone was highly social so I was able to fit in easily even though im a pretty unlikeable person. The problem is that in college I couldn't really make any friends because of the cultural differences and since native Canadians are very rare where I was studying the culture was also kinda different. So it kinda makes me feel like im an alien in my own country. But honestly everyone kept to them selves a lot more. There are a bunch of other factors like people hyper focusing on studying but I wish people would just socialize more instead of just doing their own thing.\n\nI still remember back in high school when people used to know about everything that happened if there was something that happened everyone would know about it because everyone would talk about it there were group chats with tons of people in it where people would organize things or share memes. I think people should take inspiration from this and probobly do this more often but now its honestly just very lonely.

I feel seen and heard after watching this video. Honestly, now I just want to move to the Netherlands ?\n What bothers me the most the lack of incentive to learn the language and the simultaneous judgement from people when you don't know the language. I'm disappointed by all those other problems that were pointed out but the language barrier is the biggest hurdle for me. I work for a multinational company, which means English is the language of choice there, and learning German means dedicating a lot of extra time to it, which I don't always have. \n\nExpats are expected to insert themselves in the culture, not be welcomed into it. And it's not just learning German, it's also not forgetting what you learned. You need to make extra effort to keep yourself in contact with the language and that is a bit tough as well. Do I watch Stromberg or The Office?

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. There was a polling conducted and most Canadians want less immigration from India . Canada is not as big like America . Having so ma y people come in just puts a strain on housing, who would think that people from a hot country would want to go to a cold country…. Just go to a wormer country . Many Indians aren’t even thinking about coming to Canada anymore look for other countries. Or better yet stay in India ??. If you have money you can live a really good life in India . Taxes , are high , homes are crazy expensive , car insurance is high , people’s are getting there cars stolen don’t see the benefit really coming to Canada . And most Indians already own there own house in India so way come to Canada and in India you pay very small taxes as well .?‍♂️ and at the end of the day white people are so racist towards Indians know they look at you like you are the reason there life is messed up ? make India. Great ????. America only has its military going for it it’s such a racist place to live as well . Canada talks about how great their health care is but when you see the wait times and how they have less doctors not so great . Canada and America are only great if you are already rich but if you are poor or middle class life is a struggle. I came to Canada in 2016 worked in IT until I had enough money saved up moved back to India and bought land and built a house just started buying more land and when I had enough moved back to India . Us Indians can be successful anywhere so way not be successful in our country. Hold out politicians accountable to make our country great ……… if someone wants to still come go right ahead it’s your life . But I don’t see the point t really ???‍♂️. India. And Japan is the most technology advanced country more than America even . America and Canada are just is just over hyped…… and there people are so racist to our people so way would I want to stay in there country ?‍♂️. And people that will say they want to bring there parents to Canada most of t he time it is cold and they will be inside so it’s better for your parents to live in india. Personally. I have my parents they live in GOA with me they can’t be happier.

Re: career opportunities. I am a Canadian citizen. I worked as a land surveyor assistant from 2017 to 2019 in Alberta. I had very few career opportunities. My supervisor didn't bother to teach me the trade. I was just assigned to be a pack mule/hole digger. I had a geomatics diploma and intended to become a surveyor after working as an assistant for 1 year. I waited 3 years and didn't make any progress. I was so frustrated I moved to France. France has way more opportunities for me. The salaries are lower. But the cost of living is lower too, and the hours are around 35h/week (vs 80+ in Canada). Yeah, it's legal for tradesmen in Canada to work 24/4 day shifts with 12 hour days. This doesn't take into account the 1~2 hours of unpaid work every night to write field notes and charge the batteries/cleanup the equipment. It doesn't help that the salaries are hourly too. So in the slow months you better have money saved up, or you'll be begging for food.

I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. As you said I will always be grateful for what I made but working hard for two jobs in the last 20 years I would make that somewhere else too. Canada has changed too much since I came that's for sure. What triggers me the most fake approach when ppl say I make 100k wow then you didn't get that, that is only on the pay stub. how much did you get 50k that is the real money then you need to add deductions house tax this tax, sewage, water it comes less and less and then you realize that in reality you make more but you spend so much more with less quality of life. who cares how much you make the question is how do you live with the amount that you make.?

After reading a few of these comments, the main take aways are, there are a lot of immigrants, things cost more, healthcare is a mess and inflation.\nI am sorry that things are hard, the costs of everything are up everywhere in the world so good luck in gentrifying other nations and making your problems their problems.\nIt pains me to no ends that after things get tough in Canada many are ready to jump ship for better softer areas where they will trash the place with their incomes creating inequality there as well and then blaming the mess that they will create on the indigenous people that they will abandon for better pastures.\n\nAs a Canadian of native ancestry I never had it anywhere as good as many of the people here complaining about their middle class woes.\n\nMaybe if you fought for a change, like more housing to bring down the prices and fought corporate greedflation and gouging, realizing that much of this problem, the attack on the healthcare services, much of it being done by the conservative governments, then perhaps you would not be so annoyed with Trudeau.\n\nHe is not helping the housing problem by not building the 2 million new homes that he said he would but NIMBY people are making this difficult. They want the charm of a nice middle class feel to their neighborhoods but when it comes to housing, they don't want to build affordable near them and then they complain with their rents are too expensive or the costs of things too high. \n\nI can't say I feel much pity or empathy with most of the people complaining about their lots in life because as far as I can tell, many natives would love to have your problems but the best that many of them can do is to live in their own lands, homeless, even on their own reserves because there is just not enough housing. Yet when the prices of housing was going up, many homeowners loved it, even though it meant that the poor, the actual poor and not you lot, were stacked like firewood into smaller and smaller rooms with no AC so it was hot in the summer and freezing in the winter and the slum lords are having a hey day. \nThe actual first nations people are homeless and being killed daily and are arrested for being poor daily but you lot think you have it bad. \n\nSorry, when non first nations people say that they will leave Canada because its not how they remember it when they were kids and its worse now so they will jump ship to gentrify other nations, I just shake my head and hold open the door as you leave the nation and wonder at your arrogance and egoism.

I'm Canadian born and raised. My grandparents came from England after WW2 for a better life and sadly the Canada that they immigrated to is long dead. \n\nThe lack of opportunity and the insane policies of the federal government has severely decimated the quality of life in Canada. I wanted to start a family and own a home, nothing huge or extravagant, just something to call my own and all of that seemed impossibly out of reach to me. I had a somewhat well-paying job and lived within my means and I could not seem to get ahead. I didn't own a large or new vehicle, rarely ate out and would always try to buy used. Still, I could barely save or invest anything. \n\nNot wanting to live in a place that just wants me to be poor, lonely and unhealthy I pulled the trigger and left for Eastern Europe. I have no regrets and while it has been a difficult and stressful process, it has been well worth it.

I think that what you are describing is the case in most western traditionally European countries. I also think that is on purpose. I live in the US and have my entire life, I'm in my 50's (let's just leave that there!). the same can be said for many places in this country. I've lived in newengland my whole life. it used to be considered the benchmark when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's , as far as cost of living , cost to buy a home , wages and job opportunities , quality of life, safety. its not the case now. I did recently move to extreme northern new England this year as southern New England where I grew up and my family is , too crowed, too expensive etc. I am within 1-5 miles of Canadian border where I am now, but still in US! I do have a current passport, just renewed it and plan to visit NB and Quebec City and hopefully PEI . I do live in a very rural area with low population currently. farming and timber are main industries here. not a lot going on, but at my age I really enjoy it. reminds me of how things used to be when I was growing up 40 years ago! people and even young people are polite and decent here, no traffic. its a bubble, but we are 500 miles from the chaos to the south. Canada is really still not that bad of a place to live. I am 38 years old suffer with epilepsy own my own house, I am married. My job is Medicore paying and very hard work. Me and my wife have plenty of disposable income at the end of the month to do what we want with or save it. A lot of people need to learn how to budget money. Stay away from credit cards, personal loans , expensive cars basically useless shit. Yes canada is expensive but there ways around it. Example stop living in expensive cities. Find skill sets around your job if you want extra money trust me there many of them. I make more money just on my hobbies then I do working, guess what tax free. Health care not the best but it is still really not that bad yet. Point being if I can handle Canada you can to trust me I am nobody special. I just live within my means and have hustles on the side with just high school education.

From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). I am a Filipino nurse and i am single. I've been working here since 2017. It's like i am not having that much or should i say enough. I am spending almost half of my salary just for monthly rent and common necessities. The living cost here are high and the wages are low and not mentioning the number of taxes that will drain you. But what i don't undertsand most is Germany currently rank as 3rd largest economy but it's not even included in Top 10 nations with highest salary for nurses. Now i recently passed the NCLEX exam for the US, and i know it's not just me there's a lot of us who's in the same boat and YES,..maybe it is time to leave Germany soon..

I wished to move to Canada 12 years ago. I am American. I was told that I needed a job and that job NEEDED to be filled. This would allow me to move there. I didn't move. Now with the migration crisis, too many immigrants at one time will overload the system and overpopulate a country. I fear with the climate crisis constantly reshaping our futures, that immigration will be an ongoing problem for the entire world. I believe countries must plan for even more immigration waves due to climate change. The Earth is changing...people will be moving to save their lives, to have a future. As human beings we must adapt to these pressures and changes in our planet. Make it livable, or else face the consequences of seeing millions of people die because you were unwilling to open your borders. There is room, just get rid of the greed. This planet , its peoples,must find ways to live together. Education, to keep the planet healthy, stop overpopulation, keep the air and water clean...stop the greed are the goals we must strive to follow.

For me. If you are going to be a landlord. The unit you have must be already paid, if its mortgage dont be a landlord. Because if its already fully paid, whatever happens at the end of the day its still your unit, and the landlord can still sell it the future for the higher price. I am still in favor of the law for the tenant, because this landlords, they tend to put higher price whenever they want, specially those under the table, what ever the trend they can increase the price, or depends on their mortgage interest. It happens to us before, our rent is 800, then next year they are asking for 1,100. So we just moved out, then they rent the place for 1200 for the next renter, now we rent in a legit apartment who follows the percentage each year of rent increase, so we pay on time.

I'll admit I could be more educated on this but also why is running to America the solution. Watch our news. They use this for political gain. Year after year this happens and it's always that they changed a law somewhere. I don't know. I'm not trying to sound ignorant but unless they pretend to turn them a way but actually let everyone in, it just doesn't make sense to me to run through an American boarder. It sucks and obviously this is their better choice when they didn't have a choice maybe but still. If what we get to see and hear about what happens to them once they're here is true how much better is the choice to come here lately. I don't know but I couldn't imagine and I don't pretend to understand their hardship. I can only hope they find a place somewhere in this world. Boarders only exist on maps when it's life or death.

As a Canadian, we want to leave! This isn’t the same country our parents and grandparents grew up in. Bringing in 1 million ppl who haven’t contributed to our socialist system yet giving them full benefits is destroying us! If just my husband didn’t get taxed we could afford for me to stay home but instead my mat leave has ended and we can’t find child care! We are in serious talks about selling the house and moving to Thailand or some other country where our dollar is actually worth something. \nTaking suggestions on English speaking countries to move to!\n\nAnd what other country could u move to and tell them to change? Cuz that’s what happening here. Ppl aren’t assimilating to our Canadian way. We are expected to accept (bend over and take it) and include in the name of “inclusion”. Let me get this straight.... I am an Indian, and we are simply sick of Canada immigration policy !! It's so dumb !! Seriously, make it harder ... I was born in Canada in the 80s. My parents are from India. So call me racist if it gets you off. My ass is browner than yours probably. \nMy parents, and my uncles and aunts who came here in the late 1970s had to work their asses off to prove they were worthy of even ENTERING Canada, let alone to live in the country. ALL of my older male relatives who came to Canada at that time had a PhD in a science related field or was a medical doctor. EVEN then, they had to go through years of re-training in Canadian schools in order to have a shot at PR. And they persevered and did it, and did well. \nNow, anyone and their dog is allowed in, and it's kind of an insult to all my relatives had to accomplish in order to build a life here. They had to earn doctorates and medical degrees TWICE (once in India and again in Canada).\nWell, that generation did well, and now we're the kids who are grateful and enjoying the sacrifice they put in. What will the kids of illiterate, minimum wage workers be like? Probably not so good.\nCanada's probably done. But does the average Canadian have any desire to do anything. Nope. As a Canadian whose grandparents were born here, trust me, its not our fault. Its our corrupt leadership. Or, its WEF influence. Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

Let me tell you something about life in America for an average person not a rich person not a person with privileges. Just an average guy can’t afford to live here. The cost of living is out of control. Have you seen the cost of rents in California, have you seen the cost of The price of a house have you seen gas prices? Have you seen food prices but yet our wonderful governor Gavin Newsom insisted on a raise to $20 an hour for fast food workers and pizza delivery drivers so what did Pizza Hut do? They fired all their Pizza delivery drivers. I just put that in there because nothing makes sense, this is the only thing that makes any sense. You either have money or you don’t have money.\nSee you later that’s it. Bring them to California. They’ll fit right in. There’s nothing but immigrants here now anyway.

I live in Quebec and love winter, but I do sometimes dream of living somewhere like Hawaii or California where I could eat ripe avocados and grow so much food all year round. I could build a tiny home (less regulations - so much red tape here - and cheaper bc less need of insulation and heating) and go swimming every day. This is pretty idealistic though, and could probably do these things in non-american countries. Would I consider moving to the United States? Sure I would consider it. Would I though? Probably not. Why? Similar reasons to many folks in this country:\n- lack of women's rights (still growth to do here too)\n- lgbtqia+ discrimination (here as well, but definitely to a lesser extent)\n- racism (we have this here too though... just maybe less nazis?)\n- guns (this terrifies me... anyone I know who has a gun here has it only for hunting and it's locked up in a gun case, which I think is required, when not in use)\n- healthcare (though I'm not in love with our system... I'm currently on a huge waiting list for an mri, the waiting lists to get a doctor are obscene, and can't access dental or mental health support... some of our hospitals are in such poor shape...)\n- politics and MAGA (terrifying that so many people think like that... though our political parties are pretty fucked up too... just not to the same extent)\n- school systems that teach kids the world is as old as the Bible says\n- police and prison industrial complex (seems less personal and terrifying from the outside)

I was really lucky to visit Toronto in 2000-2002 and practice some Portuguese and Italian. The first time, I came by train from Chicago and arrived at 1 AM. I was scared as I waited for the trolley on Dundas St. But to my surprise there was a young lady enjoying the late night and she even talked to me (something that wouldn't happen in Southern CA). I discovered that if was safe to walk until 2 AM in Toronto. It was really pleasant to explore Little Portugal, Chinatown and other neighborhoods. I remember that it hit the 30s with some humidity, but the reward was taking a bus to Niagara Falls at 50% off for being a student. However, I was sad to discover that the old transportation is gone, and prices have skyrocketed (food and hotels). It's not just Covid-19, but the corruption of thousands of politicians in NorthAmerica that have started wars and the flow of drugs and people. I would never think that Canada could change so drastically. But I still think that Toronto could be enjoyable ( what I really didn't like was the subway, since the stations are far away from important sites as opposed to Montréal that is so convenient). I still remember how Pearson airport was enjoyable to walk. But to see encampments like LA, SD or SF in Toronto is really sad. Hopefully, in the near future it gets cleaned up. You can't destroy what took decades to build and admire in a few years. Safety is always a concern in 2024, but Toronto is much better than CA.

Banks in India will lend them money to come to Canada, they buy their IELTS results. 99.9% of all the students I dealt with who got caught cheating on their exams were from India.\n\n- The people we are receiving in Canada are members of a separatist movement. According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

And it's also causing people that don't need to seek asylum to come here and still seek it because they know they get a free pass.\n I've literally met a guy. His name is da woud He's from Lebanon, he's not an asylum seeker.He is extremely wealthy And he was before he came here.He thought because we are both immigrants Me being Second generation him.Being first that I would just be okay with him.Doing what he did?He's worth millions of dollars in his home country and came here and is collecting money from the government under the guise of him.Being an asylum seeker and sends a lot of that money back to his home country , which has allowed his family to move to other countries where he then invests in more businesses Using his family as proxies. Like this isn't a guy that was struggling Or in any immediate danger This is a guy who is worth millions of dollars who can't hear under the guise of being in danger And now owns multiple properties in canada which he overcharges for

OK, I just watched the same video but about Ireland. I get it. There's a housing crisis, I guess, everywhere? I know there's one in the US, even in formerly unpopular areas like New England. Can someone explain this to me like I'm a small child or a golden retriever? AFAIK, there wasn't a population boom in the last 50 years. There WAS for the baby boom. So, is the issue that the boomers own too much and haven't died fast enough? Did every country have a baby boom? I don't think so. I really want to understand this. TIA.

This immigrants are mostly from one indian state ie Punjab. In Punjab every young person just have to dream i.e. to move to Canada. Even Indians from other indian state dint want to live in Brampton anymore, Let me tell u most indians dont want to leave in isolated community but want to leave in mixed community with local people and adopting their culture. But ur Canadian govt policies and support towards khalistaani movement make many punjabi people to move to canada. Im not saying anything about immigration like it is good or bad but one thing is clear its all ur Canadian govt policies which are responsible for this scale of immigration.

Racism has no place in Islam. However, stereotype is permitted in Islam. I’ve had my AZ license for 7.5 years. Believe, you, me, almost every safety class I took, whether it was with small trucking companies or big ones like Canada Cartage, I saw the male Indian students taking the class in a non-serious manner. They didn’t act like they cared. They were simply sitting there, cracking jokes, screwing around, saying stuff like \n\n“Who cares about this safety class? Just get the load, drop it off and that’s it.”\n\nBut when they get into accidents, they’re sitting their with their jaws dropped and pants down\n\nAnd I’m.
