I live in nyc getting on the bus and subway is horrible seeing these illegal people dress better than working people sending thier money back to thier countries they get more help than those who live here I worked in a homeless shelter caught a horrible parasite infection which I'm still fighting I can't work welfare refused to help me with rent electric they denied me immediate help gave me 71 dollars every 2 weeks in cash and 290 in foodstamps I can't pay electric with that let alone rent phone internet other bills etc meanwhile these people get iPhones new sneakers clothes thousands in cash upon arriving thousands in foodstamps health insurance etc free rent free everything but I can't get help I had a broken ankle they wouldn't even move to let elderly or disabled sit on busses and subway they disrespect the rules workers people in stores I witnessed for myself

I am born and raised in NYC. In Queens many businesses are now suffering with lack of staff and the owners or their family members are now doing the work they’ve been paying immigrants that don’t have their paperwork together to do. It is sad so many people trying to start over and get treated poorly! As a community member it is also annoying having to wait much longer for food or the quality of atmosphere lacking now etc I know something needed to be done in regards to the immigration issue but at the same time it sucks to realize just how many people were being taken advantage of in ALL the local businesses smh. It is definitely a catch 22!

I would assume the increased legal consequences would skew the new illegal border crossings from migrants looking for work so they can raise their kids in a country with more economic oppurtunities to a higher percentage of criminals mixed in. I've had some completely institutionalized friends in Baltimore and can say that the bouncing in and out of prison/ have most exciting/chaotic situations/ brag to your friends while you pass the time locked up/ all around adrenaline rush is going to make that crowd see the conseqences as a nuicense and an exclusive challenge. Sort of the same reason that before consumer space travel, some people that grew up absurdly wealthy would do really foolish things to brag about, like climb MT Everest.

I hauled furniture from Mississippi to New York City every week for about five years so I feel like I have a connection with New York City. While I don't approve of giving low tips or being rude, a problem is we have an over immigration problem here with the same number of Indian immigrants coming here as in the U.S despite 10x less people and tens of thousands of less towns. So it's getting hard for Canadians who were born or grew up here to find jobs and many are upset and some will take it out in inappropriate ways. It's best for government to limit immigration so that Canadians can have these jobs. Sometimes you have to put up with jerks in retail. You can always not work there

I mean that’s wrong to say everybody’s fit to serve. It’s just when you’re going through surgeries like that and you’re taking hormones that are injections that are not naturally produced in your body then yeah it makes a lot of sense. I watched your report on London Ontario's problem with drug distribution centers... I thought that you give it a good effort and it was really worth my time to watch it, it presented some real truths that inspire me to grow more truths within my mind about the situation, and that is what is needed for people to create solutions. You did a service by presenting that report. However you really missed the mark on this report about Brampton... in many many ways. You need to do more research, you can't 'lead' your interviewee's, and you have to provide information, facts. There were all kinds of directions you could have gone with the comment provided by the people you spoke to, there were all kinds of facts that you could have brought to the table. There IS perhaps a story there, but you didn't find one worth telling. It looks like you're really dedicated to this pursuit of reporting, and it it looks like you're a one man team... this work is hard to do, you should consider getting some help 'putting dots together' and creating your presentations.

What I don’t get is America isn’t against immigrants coming to America (the legal way) but people want to protest coming here illegally and are upset people are getting deported because they didn’t come the legal way. I work with a ton of guys that came to America the legal way and are all for deporting the illegals back to where they came from. The legal immigrants work hard and pay taxes and illegals don’t pay taxes they get benefits and haven’t paid their dues like the legal immigrants had to do to get in. Taking care of illegals takes away from Americans getting the help they need and we have to pay taxes. They protest and wave the Mexico flag holding signs saying “Immigrants built America” and $hit on the things America has done for them. If they built America and are so proud to be from Mexico then why don’t you build Mexico up like you say you did in America. If it’s so great why are you coming to America illegally and running from your country. Do you think protesting and blocking streets and highways is going to get you anywhere with Trump and do you think your going to win the American people over by pissing them off doing stupid things like blocking highways and Streets. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I work with people getting them housing and I can tell you that the major focus is housing illegals besides that rent is too expensive. We do have problem with housing people, besides that there are too many buildings. There is not enough money to pay rent forever for illegals and they are the majority to be house.

I work in construction and can confirm a lot of the big companies have been exploiting this system to cut costs because they get hand outs from the government to offset the wages of these foreign workers. \n1. There are some good people who are foreign workers who do good work and want to integrate into our culture, but there are many who do not respect our customs/culture and do shoddy work.\n2. Youths who would otherwise be interested in getting into construction are apathetic, lazy and have no ambition because it's so hard to make ends meet from the ground level.\n3. Why would employers take a lazy apathetic youth over a hard working immigrant, even if they suck at their job and are hard to communicate with?

Every generation will have a very different life if they grew up in any metropolitan place. My grandfather came to Vancouver 1896. His family of five lived in garages while he built houses. No communication with the outside world. My father went to war in 1940's and experience things many will never see. He worked in Vancouver his whole life. My generation saw the first home computer, cell phone and color TV. and the internet was born. I was always taught hystory in school. My kids tell me , they don't know how people lived the last 100 years other than first nations people, and historical figures. Its not taught. They have no idea how people struggled to survive. My kids and their friends are fascinated by the pictures I have from the past 120 years in Vancouver. People now want everything. They are not willing to sacrifice life style. Even my own kids feel this way. Luckily i taught good values and work ethics to my 3 daughters , so they are very successful.

My dude you just said that health care is never discussed in american politics. \n\nAlso, all these people saying that health care in Canada takes years and years for things that take weeks in the US are typically full of it. Some provinces that shall remain nameless like to break contracts with health care professionals, resulting in shortages of certain types of workers. \n\nI live in remote northish parts of my province (not NWT, Yukon, or Nunavut), and 6 years ago I was diagnosed w/ lymphoma. They had me set up to do chemotherapy treatment within 2 weeks. They wanted me to start that weekend, but I needed the time to put my work in order for me to be gone for an extended period, get applications set up for EI/Healthcare claims, and figure out who in my family I wanted to share the information with. \n\nIn Canada you end up waiting for elective surgeries and treatments, because they aren't critical by virtue of being elective. That's about it. If you need an elective and have 10K in your pocket not doing anything, go ahead and go to the states.

I find it hard to believe that Africa cannot create jobs for their people. With all those natural resources, they could work forever.

I wish the Dems would realize that illegal entry cannot stand. Trump needs to make a decree that makes it impossible to get anything from any level of government. That would stop the flow immediately. Most of these aren't people working toward a goal, they just want to escape their impoverished country. Stay in your own countries, stop voting in Socialists, and make your governments responsive to the common good. You can have what America represents to you with some work.

I had supported the deportation of undocumented people with criminals records back to them own country, but Mr T is deporting undocumented people who are working in industries that many Americans will never work, and treating them as criminals, placing them in airplane chained and hand cuffed. I don't understand why India has to be so reliant on foreign countries. Especially with so many young and talented kids joining the workforce. Indians are smart people, and are bright and talented, and should focus on making work/life conditions better in their own country and focus on the growth of their own country. It's not like we lack intelligence, or culture, or values. I don't like this constant feeling of rejection if visa gets denied to move to a foreign country. Oh we can quadruple our income in a foreign country and send money home. Make changes in India to facilitate that, and not have to feel reliant on a foreign country to make that happen. Controversial but I will say it, Canada is a FRENCH country with English as its second major language. No others language is as prominent, So if you are sure that a brown person is an IMMIGRANT and they can’t even speak ENGLISH properly let alone French, 99% chance he/she is a problem in your country and does labour work.

I worked in India for 6 years and then shifted abroad for a Masters, and now I am pursuing a fully funded PhD. In the UK, what I have observed is that the crop of students arriving from India are by the day lesser inclined towards studies and more in pursuit of the quick buck. Yes, getting a ‘UK based work experience’ is necessary to build the edge to compete against the wider international students post graduation and I have myself worked part-time in profiles which complimented my course in parallel to prioritising studies. However, the increasing trend amongst the masses (I do not want to generalise but yes this is unfortunately true and especially from certain states, the case is magnified: Read Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana) remains getting that student visa to earn quick buck to support themselves financially, chiefly, save up to dole out to so called ‘assignment writers’ which helps them pass the course to further graduate and transfer to a grad visa (again comes at a cost) which allows them 2 years worth of stay with no working hour stipulation post graduation. Thereon, work full time in laborious jobs with again not focussing on applying to full time opportunities in the field of study. Thus, what remains at the end of the day is lost time and opportunity and since I am only talking of people who come here on a Student VISA so primarily, the opportunity cost lost to upskill and further horizons. For the country’s perspective, getting cheap, skilled labour for an unskilled job is obviously an advantage but then there are cases of students not respecting their working hour restrictions, vandalising, bickering loudly, joining hands with the already operating extremist forces which instigate violence and hatred etc. In all, I think the resistance to not becoming bicultural which is a product of serious mental and physical toil and wasting time in frivolity is the main cause of the anti-immigration wave.

Its simple. Indians are disrespectful, get into positions where they can hire and only hire there own. They hate western people but will be nice to your face. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when you first came back to Canada making these videos, you seemed unhappy that things cost more in Canada than in a developing country, I think it was Vietnam? If a person is lucky enough to be able to work around the world online and maintain the same wages of course developing countries will be cheaper. For people who live in Vietnam, the average monthly wage is $424 Canadian. The average wage in Canada is $5,607 so developing countries are cheaper if you are making North American style wages. Best of luck finding a place with lower crime, lower poverty, and a quality of life you enjoy.

I have been in a lot of places working around the world, worked with south asian people. IMO, majority of them ( Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshi, Shri lankans, Nepalese) specially Indians, lacks good manners and right conduct, they don't care about safety at work, don't care about proper health hygiene, unsanitary food preparation, cooking and serving (as we saw on a lot of videos here at YT and other social media platform). It looks like they really don't have any health concerns in regards to food bacterial contamination and safety. If these behaviours maintained and acted on places they go and lived, who you thought would be happy and delighted? Just a common sense...if these people does not and could not do the GMRC (Good manners and right conduct), that a lot of civilized world does, they don't belong and had to leaved.
