Im currently 15 years old. And i wanted to go to Canada for education. I never wanted to live in America, cause every day i heard about a pretty bad police and Health care and obviously people. \nNiether go to Australia cause there are a lot of dangerous plants and animals (Im not going to lose an eye to a bird, or life to a spider). \nAnd i honestly praying that to the time i get 18-19, Canada became better. Cause i do believe that this insane crisis Canada is right now, isn't permanent. \nAll countries were in a crisis, and most pf them got out of it. Like England, France, America, Belgium and etc.

Unfortunately, the racism is what you will find throughout North America, not just in Canada, but especially in the US. I must admit that Canada is not Canada I knew growing up. So much has changed and some not for the better. But if you are looking for a better life, than I wish you both the best of luck for you and your children. Sad thing is the people who voted Trudeau into power is the ageing, retiree population. They get all the benefits now at the expense of the hard-working new generation. I'm a truck driver, my old workplace was about 80% Indian. The break room smelled like fish everyday it was horrible!!! Jokes aside there's a lot of Chad Indians, they come here to work and that's ALL they do. Literally nothing else, just work, pray and sleep. Nothing wrong with that but companies have started to expect you to work for nothing and work like 65 hour weeks because they have an endless stream low-income workers from India to do it. I don't blame them for the lack of good gigs but I do blame companies for exploiting newcomers to Canada and modelling their business on the fact they can hire temporary workers

Being an immigrant myself I have to say that what one might see happening in Brampton happens to another cities as the result of sexual revolution, abortion and the destruction of the family that came to be in Canada since the 70s. I’m a Canadian citizen and married to a Canadian born citizen and we have talked about this many times. In order to recover this country families need to have more autonomy on raising children but also parents have to be more involved. It’s true there’s a lot of Indians everywhere and guess what they tend to keep their values. Here in Canada as per my understanding people used to pray the Our Father in public schools and children used to get bibles, families used to go to church and now? \nThere needs to be a very big swift in policies and others but the biggest swift needs to come from families within.

I can confirm if your kid gets really sick in ottawa, canada’s capitol, it takes 3 days just to get triaged and no walk in clinic will treat children under 3. So your options are drive an hour plus to another city praying to find someone or pretty much allow your child to die. I wish i was exaggerating.

Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. \n \nDuring the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this).

I am in Canada for 17 years and I love this country. It literally saved my life. Although I have to admit that it is a matter of surviving nowadays. My husband is a senior piping designer and he can't find a job for more than a year and was on and off the job for last 6 years. I am an internationally trained doctor and I can't find anything for myself. I can't afford pursuing my profession as it's too expensive and takes years with no certainty thag you will even get into industry. So I'm looking for all other jobs. But I'm either overqualified or don't have Canadian experience. So we have money just for a few months to survive... With 2 kids it's even more stressful... We barely can afford our rent... And we can't go back home as we left it so many years ago, no connections for job there too. So we really just pray everyday...

Let's keep Canada a secular country! \nMuslims are doing their best to change Canada into an Islamic caliphate praying in the middle of busy streets blocking traffic so people can't get to long waited for doctor's appointments or business appointments. I have been living in Canada for over 20 years now, staying in Mississauga & not sure about the druggies everywhere statement, may be true about downtown TO. We also have a strong muslim community around us, ofc azaan five times a day and access to pray easily I do understand is missing here as in any non muslim country of the world. There are a lot of halal food options here now..esp in the past few years. Regardless of where you stay, it is my belief that you carry your deen with you, its a way of life and can be practised & taught to children in any part of the world. I do get the point about winters, but then summers are harsh in alot of countries like the Middle East & ppl stay mostly indoors. To each their own & I wish you the best in your decision! ❤

i have never been to Canada but i do have plenty of friends who are tried of living in Canada. I live in Malaysia and I do love in here and things are very easy going. The best part is the accessibility to halal food everywhere you go you can easily find Halal food and people in general are very friendly and also helpful too. I have been living in Malaysia for the past 20yrs and I enjoy in here. I was born and brought up in the UAE but I love Malaysia as my home. The cost of living in here is on the raise but it is not so bad as in many other countries so far. The Malaysian government is doing the best possible to keep a control of the inflation. We hope and pray to see 2024 as a better year to come

I live in USA, wears hijab in the proper way i work in a health care facility, never had any problems with my hijab. I met all kinds of people never had any problem and pray on time. I am Canadian bro, can't agree on your points. Canada is best place to live, I am also Muslim AH, never face any sort of discrimination. i moved from Dubai, and the place where i live i can see more hijabi womens than Dubai. Even my kids pray in public schools no one stop them. This is one of the best diverse country, where everybody respect their religion. Can't agree on inflation part either, just came from US from vacation, i must say we have better Halal options and prices, all things are way too much compare with Canada. Regarding your weather point, that's the story in most of the countries, Middle east is so hot(UAE, KSA, Kwait etc), you can't do any outdoor activities over there, except shopping in indoor malls, same like winter here. Even in US also there are only few states where you can find some ideal weather, apart from that all states are extremely cold or hot....

We've made hijarah a couple of times. Currently in the UAE. Its ok, the masjids are a bit 'meh' in terms of spirituality and community.
