Hi Canadian friends! As an Italian used to live in a country ruled by many incapable politicians (truth is we stopped to have the most valuable ones between the second half of the 1970s and the first half of the 1980s) I have to say your prime minister Trudeau has always been seen like a good one from Europe and this speech is no exception. So, why will he soon leave his office? What' s there that we don' t know or understand?

I have been reading lots of comments on here and I want to say a big thank you to all the other countries that are standing with Canada ?? \nWe really appreciate it so much

as a european i can say we are equally sick of the USA. \nwe all see this around the world. \nand donald is pushing alot of different countries and talking smack about alot of supposedly allied countries. \nsoon the USA wont have many friends. and once we start doing deals with eachother instead and outside of the USA. \nand once we stop using US Dollar as primary trade currency between countries what gonna happen to the average americans economy or wealth saved up?

his comments about working positively with Russia and appeasing putin are opinions not facts. The fact is WE ARE BROKE. We you me cant afford to be spending money on Ukraine as much as it pains me to say. We are going to go bankrupt and then we wont be able to help ourselves. We cannot continue to spend BORROWED MONEY. Are you willing to have the value of your hard earned dollar to fight a never ending battle. The truth is not a pretty one. Everytime we borrow money the quality of your life and your families diminishes. Not Ok with that. its a fucking struggle out here. and i know it is for you too. I am a Republican leaning American who did not vote for Trump (never voted for him), and I urge every country to stand up to bullying tactics of Trump. I am relatively rich, so this fluctuating market or rising egg prices will not affect me; poorer people than me will be affected greatly. And ironically, these poorer people voted for Trump. I just don't understand it because if I am a poor American, I would have voted for Bernie Sanders because at least the guy has some integrity unlike most politicians. And I am sorry to say I would have voted for Kamala Harris if she were not so dumb. Even though I lean Republican in that my values align more with Republican ideals, I consider whether a candidate has strong integrity and found none in Trump and Kamala Harris.

I’m a dual citizen of the USA and the UK and have been so disgusted by Trump, he projects evil, he’s smarmy and egotistical. I just don’t understand how many of my American friends act like he’s right up there with God, I just can’t fathom their thinking. It’s all about taking ownership of anything he wants and he bullies until he gets what he wants. I’m sick of people saying Pres Zelenskyy needs to apology to Trump, Zelenskyy did nothing wrong, he was calm and polite. Vance and Trump immediately went in on the attack, both bullies! Then to moan about Zelenskyy offending the Oval Office by not wearing a suit. Have they looked at Musk lately? Don’t know what he’s wearing but it ain’t no suit. During war times leaders often wear combat clothes to show they are with their country and soldiers. I must say I wouldn’t be upset if anyone popped him off! He does need to go.

As a U.S. citizen... I say.. fuck the U.S. Trade with Europe. Trade with Mexico. Pool your resorces and help each other survive. Let us have consequences. We elected this vermicious kinid. Support Ukraine. Let us think soley about our own interest like the tangerine todler we elected. Let us see how that works. I want to be proud of my country but we obviously need a lesson in humility.

Trump and Maga are like any crazy regime, absolutely full of magical thinking and not based in reality. So 2+2 = 6 and if you don’t agree, you hate America. Average Americans are expected to believe that a bunch of billionaires and companies that have been robbing them blind for 40 years will now have their backs because they are actually in government instead of just pulling the strings from the sides. Or because they trigger the right people on the Internet. . I also hate how every leader in the world has to pay some kind of false reverence to Trump even though they all know he’s nuts out of some kind of decorum. Just want somebody with balls to get up and say fuck him and fuck his lunacy. And shove your decorum up your arse because Trump doesn’t have any. It’s about time you realise what you’re dealing with and pull the gloves off. Playing nice and nice and reasonable is only playing into his hands.

I am a 72 years of female who lives in Canada with very strong American roots as I came here when I was 46 years of age. I have to say that what is happening between the United States of America and Canada breaks my heart. I have always known that Canada and United States of America worked and got along with each other all my life. Yes, my heart is broken for the Americans and the Canadiens who will suffer because of this trade war that President Trump started. Prayers for both countries.

You know I’ve been killing myself working non stop for like a decade trying to hold it all together because of all the increased prices of everything. As a result I have not been paying attention. I know the tariff thing was happening, but didn’t know why this was a thing. \n\nShame on me for not being more up to date. \n\nI also know nothing about Trudeau or his political stance on literally anything aside from what he talked about in this video. \n\nI must say this was of speaking is EXACTLY what I expect from a world leader. Everything was delivered very well and without personal emotions. He’s not going off the cuff and saying whatever pops into his head. THIS is the exact style of communication we need from world leaders. I don’t see how it helps anyone, anywhere in the world to have people in control of nuclear armed nations to be shooting from the hip with communication.

He sounds very manipulative. And like he's having a temper tantrum. He can miss me with trying to play on people's emotion and act like Canada cares for Americans. Canada doesn't even want this man. All you trump haters and those who don't do research and believe the media are desperately trying so hard to see light and positivity where it done exist. What can anyone take away that America doesn't have right now. 70% of the population is damn near homeless and the avg job pays 14$ a hr. We already can't afford food way before trump got elected if our president thinks this is best then trust him\nWe want to much quick solutions. It's going to take a fight to make America great again ❤ time is everything. You can't expect no one to wave a magic wand and undo 12 yrs of democratic chaos. Not a big fan of Trudeau but i have to say, lately he's doing a good job to hold his own against the VICE PRESIDENT Trump the orange felon!

I would NEVER, I repeat NEVER put any value in what Trudeau has to say about anything! Isn’t he the pot calling the kettle black. I believe when truckers had something to say was it not Trudeau who instead of listening to his citizens did he not freeze truckers personal bank accounts. Doesn’t he alway have his hand in the cookie jar. He gets an A for effort but to wage war financially or physically with America will be the single worst knee jerk reaction anyone has made. America isn’t trying to wage a war. Our purpose is to get as many countries off of our nipple as possible. We pay so much as citizens. Hopefully Trudeau changes his thought process.

All of us who are sane Americans are absolutely sickened by the way FOTUS (F for FELON) is treating our allies. I am pissed off and I’m embarrassed that he was voted in. I am proud to say I have NEVER supported or voted for that ignorant fool! Hopefully, we can get rid of him soon and begin to repair our relationships with our allies and begin to rebuild our reputation in the world.

Canada, will you annex Minnesota please? I am embarrassed, disgusted, and ashamed of my fellow Americans that allowed this despicable human to enter the office that we hope would be a leader and an inspiration to the rest of the world. If we have any say about it, he/it wont be there for long.

If we are going to be an authoritarian, antidemocratic, fascist dictatorship, we have to shed our old friends who would get all judgy about the the human rights abuses. So, step one, destroy relationships with friends. Meanwhile, we need a president and I can only say F-no to Vance and I don't know how many other dictator butt goblins in the line of succession, so, since Trudeau is going to be looking for work, lets make and exception and hire him for president. I'd much rather have one with a pro-Canada bias than one one who seems to think he is Putin's Elon Musk.

Trump is not really an American. He wants to be king. He has said it aloud. No real American would seek to be king. It is contrary to our national ethos. Trump will lie, do, and say anything to achieve this goal. What Americans don’t get is that kings need to have serfs. That is our role, in Trump’s eyes, as American citizens. He wants us jobless, penniless and totally dependent on the king. You think I am kidding- Trump is a malignant narcissist given to delusions of grandeur and, you voters have given Trump power to make his insanity a reality. Everyone is now bowing down.

All I can say as an American is that the giant majority of us do not want this at all. Donald does not speak for us and Canada and Mexico are our friends, especially in trade and culture. Our election system is so antiquated that tons of young people sat out and the swing states have all the power here. Plus, I don't think Mexico, Canada, France, Ukraine or any of you guys need to be apologetic, the US is what it is now

I'm Canadian and have never seen our society so united. Donald is picking a BS fight. I have heard from dozens of people in my life alone say they will not buy American or visit the US for the next 4 years. It will hit US business hard to lose a consumer base with the population the size of California. Not to mention I'm sure Mexicans will do the same.

Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. This is God's world not yours and not ours. I'm really disappointed to see American people and Canadians hurting because of whatever the point of all of this means. But Canada is strong and we will stand up for our country. The American people are strong and they were strong before you became the President. Working together, we can take care of each other for our families and our country.

I have been all over Canada, and i will say they are polite, kind, funny, great people. I'm from Montana, and we have always had so much in common. Americans ARE NOT in favor of the way our president, vice president, and the figure cloaked in darkness, ARE BEHAVING. PLEASE KNOW, not all Americans are in favor of our governmental policies, and some of us, quite frankly, are afraid. A lot of the American people are still the same. We want to send aid to Ukraine, we want to have a government that does its job, and we want to be friends with those on our borders. We're still here. We're not all like those on Pennsylvania Avenue.

I have never felt more proud to be a Canadian, it’s a good feeling, I was almost brought to tears earlier thinking about it. And it’s interesting to note that it is overriding the fear of the consequences of Donald’s actions. Here’s where I can’t help but think of you, our fellow North Americans. The good people of the USA, I hold you in my heart. For you don’t have that boost that comes from feeling proud of your country. I can’t say I’ve ever known what that is like. It seems it would leave you gutted, and lost. Can you even describe the feeling, the experience? It has to be one of those things that you can’t know until you experience it. The pride in my country is keeping me going. My heart is crushed thinking that you do not have that. But you need to do everything you can to keep it. It’s what the Donald and his cronies are counting on. Unfortunately, he does not care about you. He wants to crush you. He does not care about America and what it stands for. He only cares about himself. If you do not have the fight that comes from being proud of your country, you guys are gonna be easy pickings. Do everything you can to find pride in your country. Yall are sheep. \nEvery country needs imports. But America relies on so many other countries to keep itself going is more than unhealthy. If China and the US went to war, yes, China would suffer. But look around your house, I bet most of it says - Made In China. That can NOT happen to the extent it is. \n\nFun Fact- when Russia, Ukraine war started, Russia couldn’t get Coke ( Soda ) now Russia has many knock offs that they say taste just like ours. Point is, Russia started making their own. Yes, the US will always need imports. But did you know over a dozen + countries already have & had tariffs on the US for a LONG time, some are even our “ Allies “. Do you know why they do it? To protect their economy. To protect domestic goods. The short term is always the hardest. But it’s been proven that the long run, tariffs actually help a country’s economy. Also, the US gets shafted when it comes down to a lot of trade deals. Yeah, okay, imports are great… ( If you are getting a good deal )

So all the Trumpers are on here acting tough and telling everyone they should leave the US if they don't support the takeover of the US Government by a Russian supporter, convicted felon and sex offender. They have nothing better to say, no real or active solutions and no cares for what this will do to all involved. I don’t know, but when I come to USA from car or plane, I have to pass US Customs at the borders or airports, so how can US authorities can say that the Canadians let pass drugs or other illégale substances when its the US border are the ones that control what’s going in the US.

U.S. here....first, I and most Americans stand with Canada and Ukraine. Second, yes tRUMP made a dumb mistake. But everyone must realize that he really isn't very smart. His own cabinet members from his first term have said so. He doesn't understand things and he doesn't read. I feel pretty sure that his daddy paid for him to get into business school and paid for his degree, just as he paid a doctor to say he had bone spurs. He just isn't very bright.
