I'm born in Canada I had five children and they all had to find work and they all had to go to school and they all still have to find work and they still have to survive now each one of them has had one child only

My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. The people don't serve the Government nor any Corporation or Public/Private Partnership. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Now all generational wealth, freedom, prosperity and hope is all but completely stolen. We don't need more regulations. We don't need more benefits. We don't need more Government. We need less, we need it all to go away because I know for a fact, you give people the freedom to go about their lives, the society or community they form, always tends towards peaceful, prosperous organization. You give people the freedom to build and produce and they'll get after it immediately and that opens the door for all other manner of trades and skills that just fill any hole in a community or society. And that's a fact about the organizational tendencies of human beings. There's nothing stopping us from providing for ourselves but a cartel Government in the business of extortion and human enslavement. They foment chaos and division in order to justify the revoking of more freedoms to enslave more people. People themselves, they look to get along, get to work, raise families and, as best they can, enjoy life. Once we start expecting a Government to take care of us we've institutionalized prisoners who have lost all human dignity. When you "buy in" to all the rhetoric of so called autonomy, ask yourself, how autonomous are you without a family? Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.

Immigration has skyrocketed the cost of living. Our young canadians cant find jobs because lots of illegal and temporary immigrants work laws have changed and allow them to work.

We are paying for hotels, food, housing and a percentage of their paycheque through our taxes, Federal, Provincial and Municipal. Canadians cannot find jobs because they hire the illegals. The problem with Canada, white millionaire and billionaires who only run the university and the colleges them in Canada bring lots of foreign student charge them $ 15,000 to 40,000 Canadian for one student so where is the billionaire them who running the college and the university in Canada let's find out what color they are. Someone can do that. What color are the people who you running the university and colleges in Canada?

Trump is working hard to become the most hated president in U.S, history. He is a textbook example of the combination of ignorance and arrogance. While increasing trade import and export with another country we already do business with, making them very happy in the process and still making huge savings in the process. American here. My take? This is not about protectionism this is about isolationism. \nWhy would Trump want this? This is about becoming the first American dictator of the Western Hemisphere. \nHyperbolic? Nope. Trump controls the Senate, House, Doge, Project 2025 is in the White House, all the branches of the Defense Department, the Attorney General and his offices, six of the nine seats on the Supreme Court, and assigned over 250 Federal judgeships to the Federal courts which are a lifetime appointment. The ONLY thing that is standing in the way of Trump are the Federel judges that actually understand the constitution and do not want to destroy this nation. The fly in the ointment? Courts can issue an order based on the constitution or our laws, but does not have any way to enforce them if Trump should just disregard their order. That is how close we are to a dictatorship.\nWake Up America.?\n P.S. Sorry Canada! Coalesce, find new trade partners, and leave the United States behind. We are no longer worthy of your friendship.

I almost completely support everything he says. My problem comes with his comments on Fentanyl. Please, this medication is a game changer for so many suffering daily in agony with chronic pain or deadly conditions. For those who need it medically, it is strictly controlled and monitored. Fentanyl is “eaten” by pain, so for those who need it there is no high, just relief.\nThose on it legally already have to deal with a great amount of prejudice, being treated as addicts and dealers when they are just trying to find a way to survive immense pain everyday. This medication allows them to get out of bed, to attend school or work, to have a life. It gives them hope and relief. \nThe opioid crisis is real, but those on a prescription are not the cause. Canada already has some of the strictest protocols in the world for this medication, leaving many people in agony as they loose access to it. \nDon’t take away something that is saving them. The drug is not wrong, those selling it illegally are in the wrong.

I think any person Who makes efforts to find the Best for its country should be considered as a patriot. Defend a Nation ist not a easy issue but the Canadian are free to choose the Best. For them. Good look, God bless you all.

I don't care what side of the fence you sit on. I did not need to hear this man speak to already know Canada was, but may yet be, our greatest ally and trading partner. I have no idea what possessed Mr. Trump to decide to stab our allies in the back, but it was not something good. 27.5% of voting age adults voted for him. How many of them were serenaded by hollow promises and a good slogan. Perhaps all of the mud slinging and Russian media interference helped? If you add in our more studious teenagers, truly reformed felons, and immigrants who actually deserve a gold card, that number plummets to less than 25%. I won't ask people to wake up, if you are reading this you are already more than capable of finding out that I speak only the hard truth. This means less than a quarter of america wanted this. This means your vote and opinions DO count. I know it is incredibly difficult to reach for and find answers in a world where your president or primary candidate throws 'fake news' in your face on a regular basis. He is actually telling the truth. When he is not telling you is that he is a primary enabler of 'fake news'. To him, only his word is law, only his opinion matters, only he deserves to be on top, and he deserves authority over all of your lives. Do the right thing, we all have a civil duty to understand our candidates to the very best of our ability. When a man has been convicted of dozens of felonies, and we tell you that this is only what we were willing to expose. You may want start believing us. The genuine facts of his past are unilaterally corrupting to our children and good people alike. Do not let the american people repeat their mistakes, force Mr. Trump to atone for his mistakes. No not empower him to sweep them under the rug for the sake of his own arrogance, because that is exactly what he is doing by trying to dismantle the CIA and FBI. These two institutions are shining examples of America's pursuit of freedom and justice. Freedom to keep billionaires from corrupting the morals of our children. Freedom to know that the rule of law is immutable, our constitution is not just a paper with fancy traditional sentiment. Even if the law may sometimes be bent for the sake of decency, forgiveness, and the pursuit of 'united we stand', our constitution cannot. Amendments require the FULL support of nearly all Americans, not 27.5% of unrestricted adults.

The war on drugs started with Nixon it isn't something you can win by closing the land borders, they will always find a way to get drugs to people that want to use them which includes setting up drug labs in America. Portugal and The Netherlands have pretty comprehensive drug policies but America either won't take note or doesn't want to. Maybe it is about filling for profit prisons among other things.

Our safety is at serious risk, but we can still get the train back on track, if Congress can ALL agree to put America before any other internal disagreement. If The SCOTUS and the Judicial System will do the same. It isn't too late, YET. It's time to right the ship and our allies will support us, if our people will stand up, against the harm that this Administration is doing to ALL of us, as a whole. I find myself (United States Citizen) cheering for any country imposing tariffs on the United States. Put the largest shit stain (excuse my language) on Trump's presidency. It is the only way his brainwashed followers will understand. Make things expensive and make them think twice about who they voted for. I would absolutely love for them to be able to watch this and understand, but they have been brainwashed since 2016. The only thing that will be real to them, is the impact on their finances. If you do that, the 2026 midterms will be an absolute wave of republican seats flipping Democrats.

As an American, I am totally appalled that Donald Trump is our elected president putting himself & his selfish agenda ahead of the American people. Allowing people like Elon Musk, who is not a government employee to run amok in this country doing what he pleases when he pleases under the guise of ridding our country of wasteful spending, without any type of oversight. I am appalled at the GOP that refuses to stand up to Trump for the people they swore an oath to serve faithfully because they are so afraid of what Trump will do to them if they don't bow down and do his bidding. This isn't some tv reality show, and we all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Ok I need some help understanding this. If it’s a dumb idea for the US then why isn’t it a dumb idea for Canada too? As I understand it, the US tariffs mean things imported from Canada get a few slapped on top and that is paid by Americans, to discourage them from buying Canadians things. Why wouldn’t Canada continue importing US things as before and not put extra fees on top, so they don’t have to find new suppliers and cause disruption? Then it is just America punching itself in the face not both of them.

So following Trumps Logic, he wants to be like Putin, and get america to embrace that along with Russia. To do so, he is picking firghts with all of america's allies and then using their responsses to demonise them to get USA to embrace Russia, aka, bring down americas walls - so to speak and embrace dictators. North Carolinian American here. I am ashamed of our country pushing our allies away. What I and many others want to let our allies know is that we support them. Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down. History has shown us what happened to our country when we were isolated, and it brought economic devastation throughout the country. I hope that it isn't severe, but I predict that our president, and the Republican Party that controls the legislature and the Supreme Court will definitely cripple the economy, and will find a way to blame the party, where they are not in control.

The American people don't want it either, the current admin is not OUR gov't. I can not criticize your reactions. As a matter of fact, I find them completely reasonable.

This proves you can not believe what career politicians say and have to go by what they do, or don’t do, instead. Yet now, they confidently declare that Canada will never become the 51st state. Our best defence is to not play into their hands. A much better plan needs to be developed by minds who see the big picture for creative solutions, and it does not seem to be those in office now

I have to I’m happy to see him actual find his federal spine!!! This speech was clear, constructive, professional and one that I can back! As a Canadian my personal politics may not always be in line with other citizens of the world, however I can respectfully agree to disagree, allowing more dialogue and discussion to continue in order to reach an agreeable compromise to find the best winning formula for all concerned. \nI have watched and listened to many American politicians from John F Kennedy to Joe Bidden, to leaders like Marin Luther King, Malcolm X, Bernie Saunders, all have something in common, respect, decorum, world knowledge, integrity, truth, honesty, honour, and heart. \nStrength is when you are able to reach out to lift someone up not to knock them down. Even the greatest professional boxers know the difference of being humble and kind when there advisory is in trouble. \nFor the first time in the history of your country you have a bully, narcissist and pathological liar, who is vulgar and unpolished as a man, father and as the President of your nation.\nI have seen our own Canadian leaders, make mistakes, stumble and fail, however they displayed grace and admitted to their shortcomings.\nI have never seen a world leader be obsessed with things such as plastic straws, pennies, flushing toilets, Hannibal Lecter, Arnold Palmer's manhood, a leader who's completely obsessed with selling souvenir and bubbles while his citizens are homeless, hungry, jobless, with runaway inflation so that something as simple as a dozen eggs are now a luxury item. \n\nYou have a president who spends millions of dollars so that he can play golf at one of his own properties, meanwhile his country is neglected. \nA brief look at his past record the pandemic under his watchful eye would have you drink bleach as a cure as many died and billionaires increased their combined wealth by trillions of dollars while the middle class and poor suffered. \nThe opioid crisis was settled under his watch which let Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family avoid jail time for committing the death and destruction of millions of lives in America. Is it because they are billionaires and potential cronies of his?\nRather than be completely obsessed with tariffs and creating the next disaster with his Trump Gaza Holocaust Resort, Your leader could be looking at fixing the country's infrastructure of roads, brides, tunnels, ensuring a healthy supply of drinking water, rail, housing for the homeless, affordable health care, affordable education, etc.\n\nDonald Trump is surrounded by his clowns is not just making a mockery of your country but is leading you into a very dark hole. \nThe shame and humiliation that Donald Trump has brought to your country since his inauguration will take years to correct if he is stopped now. I see a LOT of emotions here in the comments from people who like to tout where they're from for some really weird reason. I imagine to represent the soap box they stand upon. I find it ironic people are giving underhanded insults to Donald Trump by comparing how Trudeau speaks, yet I can almost guarantee those same people brag about how they refuse to listen to a word Donald Trump says. So its a really silly way to try to insult someone. Also just checked some of my stocks daily returns. Up over 2%. So he was wrong within the first 10 minutes. I suspect the market will become more bullish as some of the companies that have made deals to create factories in the US complete them and start churning out products made locally.

If you do it has to be accompanied by a lot of diplomacy so that the other country is not overreacting, but Trump has been super combative prompting our neighbors to respond in kind to save face. While past deals may not have been great for US, this is not the way to handle our differences.
