The only thing Trudeau got wrong on his speech was to say that Trump is a smart man. Any attempted appeasement of Trump is simply not worth it.

Trudeau dumped on his people during Covid. He acted as a dictator, freezing bank accounts, ect.\nZelensky acted a fool in the oval office. The deal was agreed upon, and Zelensky backed out like a flippant child. \nBTW, JUSTIN, if you want to be serious and address the president of America, try saying PRESIDENT TRUMP.

Trudeau is a sniveling little turd! He desperately wants to make the tariffs sound like they aren't 100% fair. Canada already taxes US imports at an average of 25%, so these US tariffs only balance the playing field. All that said, like Zelensky, Trudeau seems to forget that Canada needs the US, but the US doesn't need Canada. He says that it is going to be tough in Canada; true. On the other hand, the average American probably won't even notice a difference. But the neverending, desperate anti-Trump narrative twisting is all CNN knows.

I see all these other comments saying how polite and eloquent he is compared to Trump, but you can seem polite and screw people over at the same time. As a Canadian, I share the opinion of about 80% of our country. Trudeau is a clown, and after 10 years of him destroying our country, we can't wait for him to be gone. The stuff he is saying about the flow of drugs is not accurate. Just like everything he does, the moves he has made to fight the drug trade are just theatre, with very little results. I don't like Trump, but he is correct about the drug issues we have up here.

It's worth noting that Trudeau did not say that Trump was smart, he was citing the Wall Street Journal. I'd bet that Trudeau's estimation is a little more restrained.
