I work for a Canadian company where ten percent of the employees are Canadian, and the rest are mostly Indians and refugees (from Syria, Laos, Vietnam, etc.). I think that when people don't want to accept the laws and want to live outside the law, they choose refugee status, doing whatever they want and trying to cheat the system. Canadian employers then find an opportunity to line their pockets with cheap labor, harming Canadians themselves. My view of Canada is like living on a pirate ship in the 21st century...bye, bye Canada... God help the Canadians.

The West has lost it's way and religion isn't the solution but a culture not so decadent would be a good start.

I have such mixed feelings watching this video and the following is just my opinion. I am an immigrant from India too and I love my country's values and culture but I also realize its drawbacks. When I came here, my immediate instinct was not to change everything to how it was back home...It was rather to learn the culture and values of Canada too (which I know is in and itself a mixture of multiple cultures). If you are reading this my fellow Indians, It is truly my most humble request to remember that you don't have have to quit your culture, but that does not mean that you make no effort or take part in involving yourself in other cultures or mock them. I am an Indian immigrant living on GTA. If I was forced to live in Brampton, I would rather go back to India than live in Brampton. The problem with Brampton is a subset of Indians that are easily recognizable and do not assimilate. Most of these specific subset come here as students and through family sponsorship ( not regular immigration stream). The students get false documents for their language and educational credentials. The politicians are also to blame for pondering for their votes. If there is one ethnic group that has the capacity to destroy Canada further in the future to a point of no return, it is this subset. I am from India came to Canada legally (gone through 7 months of processing and waiting , submitted countless documents , photos , chat history to prove relation status and professional experience, literally submitted all my life story) to obtain PR and come to Canada just to realize that people without any of these come from different parts of the world especially India bypassing the system and living better life working cash jobs and doing random stuff. When i went to take driving license first time, An Indian origin guy rejected my application saying that my Indian License wasn't looking original enough , where I have seen people who couldn't even speak basic English were applying to get license to drive trucks. I'm no expert, but it's obvious that mass immigration is detrimental to any country. Years ago, Canada seemed like a dream country, but in the last few years, it looks like the homelessness, crime etc. has increased and the housing prices are insane. I have a Sikh friend who lived there for about 5 years but moved back to India due to the high cost of living and quality of life there going downhill. He has a much better, low stress life back home. I think there should be stricter measures to immigration. For example: Let doctors, nurses, engineers, lawyers in more easily, but those that are coming as students and going to work as cashiers, should be limited.

In their mind, the migration is an existential threat to the punjabi identity and community. But those hypocrites don't think like that when they move to abroad.

Instead of relying on immigration, Canada should focus on innovation — create robots, invest in R&D, and encourage its own population to have more children. Solving the labour shortage domestically is a long-term solution. Bringing in large numbers of people from 3rd world countries won’t fix the real issues — it may even harm the system over time. Speaking as an Indian, I can say that many of our people don’t adapt to the host country’s culture or values; instead, they often bring the same mindset that created problems back home. Look at India — poor infrastructure, declining quality of life, and a government more focused on propaganda than progress. Importing that mentality, even among the so-called “educated,” won’t benefit Canada. Core values and a willingness to evolve matter far more than degrees. Your govt should also stop permit or spending public money on building temples, mosques, or any religious structures. Why do we even need them? Faith is a personal matter — keep your beliefs and celebrations at home. Things starts with these things only.

All the recent Indian immigrants interviewed seem to be very kind, hardworking people who are just trying to create a better life for their families. Then I read the comment section and it's just a bunch of people spewing vitriol towards Indian immigrants. "Canada isn't supposed to look like India". What the hell is Canada supposed to look like, to me it just looks like America, what "Canadian national identity" do you really have?

It is so unfair. I strived for about 10 years saving, learning English, investigating, studying something relevant. Achieved to arrive in Canada from Mexico in 2022. Watching from Kolkata, India. In my city and surrounding areas, we have illegal immigrants who are mostly Muslim Bangladeshi. They dont assimilate, hate Hindus or non muslims in general, do illegal stuff and busy in converting and reproducing so that demographic change can happen and it has happened in many districts. The government is helping them to gain vote banks. I completely understand them. Even in India we know the people that went to Canada were shady even in India. Many of them sit in Canada and issue threats to Indians and India. This is all well known.

Punjabis are just about 2% of Indian population and almost 90% of immigration to UK, Canada and Australia. They have built a whole system on how to migrate to western countries, there are corporations, syndicates who find all possible loop holes and even defraud immigration rules and exploit it. Whole villages are emptying in India and moving to suburbs in the west.. One who see Indians in the west might think Sikhs are India, but they are a miniscule minority of about 2% concentrated in Punjab region..

Why come to Canada to go to community colleges. Because most of the schools they are attending are in strip malls. Those people should not be here. If they are not smart enough for a university entry, they are not the brain power we want. Those schools should be closed and a head count mandatory. We don't need the truck drivers or waitstaff at restaurants. The businesses that are only employing students that are from India need to be fined and held accountable. They are using government funding for their wages these are jobs that Canadians need and are rejected because the are not from India. It is racist and why should our taxes pay their wage while Canadian students are left with no jobs to help with the cost of university or housing.
