From Canada to the UK to Australia its true they let too many people in and now they are struggling to explain away the disastrous affects.

I have been living in Canada for over 30 years. I am thinking about leaving too when I retire. Makes me sad and angry at the same time because I love Canada. Trudeau has destroyed this country!?

My family came from Japan in 2007 (I had just turned 13). I have spent the second half of my life in Canada, turned 30 yesterday and got married in Vancouver last weekend the, graduated high school in Vancouver, got my PharmD degree in Nova Scotia. My family owns businesses in Vancouver and my parents are selling EVERYTHING and leaving. They abruptly dropped this news last month. My husband and I have already made our plans to leave too and already own a home in Japan, because we were returning for the last trimester of my pregnancy, but decided we are not returning to Canada. We will stay in Japan for about 5 years, then relocate, depending on western politics \n\nI am sad because Canada became my home, and my parents have added soo much to the Vancouver economy, and created numerous jobs for Canadians.

I have lived in Canada for 37 years now, and pretty much i feel Canadian with a background of turkish and i was born in Bulgaria. I have lots of options, i can get my Bulgaria citizenship and look for better opportunities in the European union countries or move to Türkiye, or settle in the village where i was born for a much more relaxing life with cleaner air and organic foods. I got 4 more years to pay off my business vehicle with very little mortgage left. I also want to know if we can get rid of the current government heads and if the new heads can turn things around.

Research Canadian history, this rise of anti-immigrant sentiment against Indians is not a surprise coming from Canadians, that's just who they are. The Canadian economy has been going down for a decade+, many businesses have left in the past and are still leaving, Trudeau hasn't made it easy for them either, the remaining NEED cheap labor to survive. They also NEED immigrants to bring in their money, its a big part of their economy, without immigrant money their Universities/Colleges/businesses are going to be many times more expensive even for the local Canadians. Canadians have big ego but not much to back it up, from my time here, they try to compare themselves to USA but they're nowhere close, nor is the weather desirable to live here, the guise of friendliness/politeness & some high paying jobs is all they had going for them, and now they don't even have that. /endrant

As bad as it is i think it’s best to tough it out and things will improve, many euro countries may seem better but they too could be come gentrified with time and im sure those places sucked at one time which is why Europeans moved to Canada for the last a hundred years. \n\nIK Canada looks bleak but much of the world sucks and things will improve, haven’t seen the video yet but as far as IK, moving to a warm third world country is never the solution because locals will experience price inflation and all the things we complain about and the problems just won’t stop.

Even as a post graduate, which also bring a larger and better spectrum of opportunities in quantity and quality, you realized that the situation in Canada is so bad that it's better for you to move somewhere else. Canada economy depends on education scam business and they willing give student visa to large number of foreigners. Dubai UAE, Singapore, Oman, Qatar is not giving any student visas to foreigner's in such large numbers because there economy does not depend on it. Canada also lure foreigners by saying if they study in Canada than they will get work permit or permeant residency!! Canada should blame themselves for starting education scam business and giving student visa in large numbers.

Rather than immigration crisis, it is infrastructure crisis we are experiencing in Canada's major cities. It does not take a genius to see that even our airports are severely lacking in processing incoming international passengers.

Welcome to the ex-pat club. I left Canada 14 years ago. Talking to people I still keep in touch with in Canada I realize just after Trudeau got in power that Canada has changed. I suggest if you plan on a move do your research on where you are thinking of moving to. Do not rely on a vacation as they are very different than actually living in a place. I speak from experience. Do I get homesick? Yes but right now I would not even think of moving back to Canada. I am very settled and happy living in the EU even with the problems here. Some things to check out are various cities or towns in various regions of a country, healthcare, schools if you have children, cost of running a car (petro, insurance, etc), price of food, utilities, etc. If your work papers or degrees are accepted, what visas you will need. Once you have made a decision, start learning the language. I could do it anyone can do it.

No where is perfect! What i can tell you is that ?? is waaay better. \nYou can move like this because you are a content creator hence you dont need to be in Canada to make money so i hope people dont get mislead!!!

We are moving to Malaysia next year...I don't want to, Canada is our home and our love where our families are and friends are but Canada is just not safe for kids, for families and there is no growth here.

I know exactly where your coming from.I have lived most a lot of my life away from Scotland. I have been back off and on past few years due to personal circumstances. I see a great change in immigration and the way the country has went downhill with the current government as transport roads etc are unacceptable now and lack of good rental accommodation with soaring rental prices and buying property is way too expensive and not worth the price. Also similar to Canada and USA the cost of living is way too high. I am leaving in coming weeks with no intention to return. I wish you good luck where ever you decide to call home away from Canada Alina!!
